Not on the last sub yet, sitting at around 43k. I want the DD blue (no roster spot for another 4 star, and transitioning, so i want dd up!). In my bracket, with some luck, i may be able to get what i want, if i use a vacation day..
Did i seriously just consider using a vacation day because of a game on my phone... i hate being an adult.0 -

Did anyone else have timer issues on the subs? I was in S4, it showed that I had three hours left on Scotland Yard, and I did a final grind down to single digits. Came out of it to this, since my final grind was done 12 hours early:
I was in first with a lead of several hundred before I started this. Now I'm well out of T10 contention, since that put me a clear and a half worth of points in the hole.
The timer's been wonky the whole event, with variations of an hour or more on the sub timers, but this was a doozy.0 -
Assuming there are 6000 points in the repeatable nodes in the last sub (nobody seemed to kept track of what the one time nodes are worth) there are 6000 * 5.5 = 33000 possible points in the final day (and you'd probably need an autowin hack to get this kind of points). For people who are worried about the 65K progression, a more realistic estimate would likely be half fo that at 16.5K. That still represents almost 3 total clears which is far from trivial given there's a Muscle + Ares and multiple The Hood nodes, and the final The Hood + Magneto node is a total hoser for people with normally low scaling due to the 150% level bonus for being shorthanded. I don't see people getting more than about 20K out of the final sub for those who need it (those who can do better than 20K would never be worried about the progression in the first place).0

Cover Her - 200

This is a strangely high target for the KK cover. I normally have a bonus 20 - 50 % over the final target goal. I'm not sure I'm going to make it this time, and I've been very good with optimal clearing including multiple clears of the essentials.
I want that KK cover.0 -
God damn the Hood is annoying. I've got enough of a lead that I can do my initial clear of his nodes early (need to do some math once we figure out how much a rotation is actually worth), may end up Hulk bombing him a couple of times and giving Hulk time to rest up.
I think there are closer to 5500 points in repeatable nodes in the final sub so less around 30k (+1k from the main repeatable node) points are up for grabs if you do your 3 full clears +6 clears in the last 3 hours or so.0 -
I'm about 1k short of the cover, after my first clear of the last sub. Because of time constraints this week I've had to change to a new strategy, the 7 hour cycle. It seems to be working okay, I was top 25 last time I checked, with another clear due in 3 hours.0

Guess Who also isn't repeatable.
Also, is there anyone in my bracket (took999took is in #1 right now) who can see approximately where #50 is? I'm #11-12 right now and trying to figure my options out.0 -

Come on Ben go for top 10 - you know you want that extra cover
I know i cant wait to grind that last node to 1 tomorrow morning to try and hold top 50 -

I don't think it's happening. And I think it's better to accept that since we've got #3 coming tomorrow.0 -
Finally got the green weenie at 65k. What a torturous event.0
-
I know I'm in the minority here, but I liked this event a lot better when I didn't have to deal with trying to clear Business Partners 6 times in the final grind, because I was doing clears every 2.5 hours and other people weren't.0

Hit 65K with 12 hours left. Top 10 seems out of reach, so I may not bother to play any more now.0

Keep in mind, I've been playing this with 110/94 characters the entire event, the last two nodes are as follows:
The Who: Hood (192)/Rags (193)/Ares (192) worth 860 points
Business Partners: CMags (247)/Hood (248) worth 740 points
These 2 nodes... How in blue hell are you suppose to be able to beat them? AP stealing, over the top health and damage plus cheap skills that pretty much kills you in one hit equals impossible to beat.0 -
Somehow found myself in the top 10, which means i should keep grinding right......
The dirty secret, one of the nodes in the last two subs i start to avoid once the scaling goes up. It's not worth the health packs, not sure if that will work here in a fight for the top 10....
Hell Goon nodes at 4 times my level has better odds than
The Who / Business partners.
Stick or twist...
Edit: Has it been mentioned that
The Who - worth about 770 pts
Is a one time only node?
Makes things a little easier0 -
For final sub it's 1320 in one times and 5400 in repeatables. Theoretical maximum of 33,720, more than likely 30 + change plus a thousand something from the main node.0

And that's it for me. Made progression, am sitting at about 17th place, there's 10,000 points between me and 10th and only about 5000 points left on the board - and, of course, 15 minutes to go. Did well for a while, was up in the top 5 for the first half of the event. You know, before life knocked on the door and politely asked me to actually do important things.
Not my favourite event, but I'm at peace with my position and am going to be taking a very zen view going forward considering that we're getting yet another new character starting up probably tonight or tomorrow.
Hoping my 78,000 points is good for my alliance, who may or may not push up to top 100 but if not, well, 4*'s are an insidious creeping plague anyways.
Good work, everyone.0 -
Wasn't expecting to get the final progression reward but with less than an hour to go I got it. I'm seriously hoping this isn't a new trend for progression rewards, I'd rather have no rewards after the 2nd day than have to play almost every clear to get the final one.0

Bring your own AP stealing and cheap but powerful skills. OBW+Stormneto in the past helped me pass them with a limited health pack's expense. Magneto is also powered up in this event, you could get OBW+Magneto+Cyclops and have Magneto act as a battery for your heals and optical blasts. Loki surely helps, especially against Cmags in case of a Coercitive Field and also lets you get back some of the AP that Hood stole. Cyclops removes TU tiles that Cmags could blow up and also has minor board shakeup that could get rid of shield tiles. Use stuns. Widow's sting is one of the best TU you can bring to any battle, removing an enemy for 5 turns can be invaluable.
If that doesn't work... you could also consider NOT doing those nodes. Check your score and consider if it's worth to gain those points.0
