My one hope is that rubberbanding doesn't override the levels too much. I.e. someone sits out a refresh and gets easy last battles, for tons of points, while I need to struggle against my level 200+s for less points.

That's my worries as well. Especially as much as I've grinded. At least 50 matches against 200+ enemies.
  • Rubberband has never allowed someone doing one less full set of missions than you to overtake you. Now, if that guy finished his last set of missions after the overall leader did (and you did not, or you're the overall leader), he might have a small advantage there, but I'm sure people are all going to try to do their last set as close to the end of the event.

One thing I find is interesting is the timing for the final set, because so many of these missions have the potential to down a character or even a whole team in one hit, it's really dangerous if you're behind and start doing them at around an hour left, unless you boost every single fight. But in that case the overall score leader can just do the same as well.

Man this guy is ahead of me in the sub by a significant margin (23 points) and I've ground every mission down to 1. He was not 23 points ahead of me before my refresh. Gah rubberbanding sucks. I hate also that there's a legit #1 in the subs and not a range like usual.

I didnt use a health pack yet thanks to OBW. Few days ago I was questioning myself if it is worth invest 1000 Hp on her ... totally. Those maggia guys pop up countdown tiles like mushrooms on a raining day, but Natasha dont care.

PS: sorry for my english, Im from Spain and Im a little bit drunk right now ... and posting from my phone dont help xD
  • This event is absolutely going to eat ISO, at least for me. By the first refresh, I have to run full boosts on half the missions. I'm tempted to go ahead and trip an Army of One bracket just to grind ISO for boosts.

Yeahhh...I don't think I'll be gaining as much ISO this event, I need the ISO for boosts. icon_e_sad.gif

I haven't done much. Only four missions at one point before the first refresh (just because I wanted to play *something*--see my "Waiting" thread). Guess I learned my lesson for the next sub--play each mission down to 1 and STOP. I have never closed and reopened the app so many times as I have for this event--checking that the match is really displaying the correct point gain.
  • I usually only need boosts for the fights against actual characters. Against the mafia guys, a combo of Spidey + BWO dominates, since you generate a ton of blue for his stun.

I'm currently 38 points behind first place, and I'm in 2nd by 80 points over 3rd.

Did that guy seriously grind out 38 1 point battles or did I screw myself up somehow?!

It's faster just to go and fight one of the first missions in the prologue. Resets the points without needing to reboot the app.

Did you somehow do a mission before both stages of refreshes occured?

So like for the first mission, it gains back 5 points for the first stack, and then 10 points for the second stack.

If you did the mission before the 10 point stack refreshed, you'd be stuck with two 5 point missions instead of a 10 and a 5. (I messed this up a couple of times, which was pretty disappointing.)

Otherwise, he may have just played that much.

I was always overboosting, too f****** much, but in this event I didnt use a single boost. Last time was in LR because some dude hit me like 5 times in 4 minutes.

Nah I waited for full refresh on everything I'm pretty sure. I got two battles in for each before dropping to 1. Oh well. Maybe I'll rubberband ahead of him for the 3rd refresh. I jumped out quickly to 1st by a large margin, so perhaps he got a bonus on his matches.

I don't know whether to grind some 1s or not. I'm not 60 points behind him...so grinding won't really help anyway, I'll have to wait for the refresh and hope.
  • Also, I cannot imagine doing these missions without a bugged Patch. I hope r47 is more than a week away.

@Jozier: I only started a little less than a month ago, so my spidey is 2/1/0, i.e. useless. I must have missed some cornucopia of spidey covers.

Good tip on the prologue mission resetting points, though arguably closing and opening the app on an iPhone is quicker.

Eh, I find it slow sometimes to restart on my iPhone. But at least you get 20 ISO and some boosts if you od a fight.
  • So these missions reset after 8 hours?

Fair point. No Iron Man loading screen and some goodies to boot. Thanks!

Now what do I do about my 2/1/0 Spidey? icon_razz.gif (And my 3/3/5 wolvie and my 4/3/2 Thor!)
  • #1in my sub is 464 and #2 is 450. I am at 408 as I stopped when they hit 1 pt. No way I am grinding that many times. I am debating just skipping an entire sub and rubber band myself in the other subs.

I used HP for my last 2 spidey blue covers during the Ares Hunt and made it all back. Thor you shouldn't worry about, Wolvie you need those two green covers.

Yeah, I pretty much did that after every match too. These points really should be updated more reliably.
