Goon AP Notification

I can understand how it might get annoying and ought to have an option to disable, but honestly I like the reminder that there's a goon feeding Ares because I often forget I have to expect hits from him even when I"m denying his colors. The extra 10-20 seconds spent per node seems like pretty small thing to make such a big deal over.
Maybe you shouldn't be such an idiot then. You do know that AP was always registered in the bottom right corner under their portraits all this time, right? Including goon generated AP?simonsez wrote:adamLmpq wrote:but honestly I like the reminder that there's a goon feeding Ares because I often forget I have to expect hits from him even when I"m denying his colors.
I understand the both of you are aggravated with the changes, however, you do not need to take your frustrations out on other forums members voicing their own personal opinions, just as you were allowed to do in this exact thread. Personal attacks are not acceptable. I'll give you both a day to restructure the post to not contain ad homien disputes, or I'll go ahead and delete the posts entirely, since they add nothing of value to the conversation anyways.0 -
a better fix would have been just to show a +2
or what have you over the actual goon pictures at the start of each turn for a second or two without it actually stopping gameplay in any way.

I personally feel like the only animations that NEED to be in this game are that of the characters attacks and abilities when they or we shoot them off. This damn banner **** of showing me their damn AP is ridiculous. MPQ? Who in the hell suggested this ****??? Please, why don't you share this information with us? Whether if it was some dumb **** forum poll gone bad or one of you brainiacs that came up with this idea please kindly look at that person and smack them dead in the face for me. This has got to be one of the DUMBEST ideas to put in this game! I'm being dead serious, too. You have got to know little to nothing about computer coding to not know that this would cause a HUGE delay in gameplay. So, God forbid if it was someone who does work there because DAMN where did you go to school for your degree? If not, and it was a suggestion from someone on this forum, please run this through your heads first - more animation and graphics = do we really need ANOTHER entire story being told about the enemy before being able to make our next move! Exactly. This banner is just as pointless as the same feedback that you're getting from your community. So, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD TURN THIS **** OFF!!!!!!!! I WANT TO SHOOT SOMEONE THIS IS SO ANNOYING!!!! Thank you and have a great day0

This is basically what they did. You can't put information on the screen without causing some type of delay. It happens on their turn, with the AP gain display and then again on your turn with the giant sized banner in case you missed it or didn't know goons generated AP or are unable to remember how the game works I guess.
Still needs a disable button somewhere. I don't even see it anymore, it's just time when I can't move gems, like Daken's passive, so it's not actually even giving me the information it's trying to give me. It's like an ad banner, I've gone blind to it's presence as a constant annoyance.0 -
Good morning devs...hope your weekend was nice while we grinded lvl 395 hitmen with 15000 health and a slow slow bright yellow banner every 45 secs as we try to get the new essential 4* character. Those nodes took soooo long. So settle in grab some coffee...and roll out a patch asap.....please and thank you0

When they first announced the change I said it's a good idea but the banner taking over the board is too much for something that's going to get displayed every turn, and I stand by that. It is helpful - even if you know goons generate AP it's nice to know how much is coming from each one, not to mention that this is how I found out that if there are no tiles of a particular color on the board they stop generating that color until it comes back. But the format it's presented in needs a tweak because it's too big and slows down the game too much.0

The odd thing is that if you go in the prologue, the banners aren't there! (at least the prologue missions I've tried so far).
Why annoy the experienced players and not educate the new players?Mawtful wrote:Dear Marvel,
This was really interesting. Now I can that some baddies get gems every turn for free. But how come they have powers if I can't get H.A.M.M.E.R. Lieutenant as a character? Also, maybe you could show some more information? Like what is their name? Do they have a family? What is it that drove them into their career? Do they know that they are fighting against Superheroes? Also, what is their favourite food. And do they like pancakes or waffles?
Than kyou Marvel.
P.S Can I get some free gold coins?0 -
Yeah, look once again I am sat here thinking "well the developers are trying to address an issue, so fair play, but how on earth did they come up with this solution and go "yeah, this will be GREAT"?".
I mean, surely you play-tested even one Trivial node and went "oh wow, after about a minute this is going to get real annoying for players".
Your whole focus is on getting people to endlessly replay levels, why would you actively make this process slower, and duller?
Baffled.0 -
A massive waste of time and effort by one of the devs who probably wanted to do a bit of overtime and came up with this pointless idea. AP info flashes up below the opposition characters anyway when they make a match so why not make that more consistent and show it for goons as well. While your at it, how about flashing it up whenever we make a match so I can see how much AP I've just plundered from the mighty cascade I've just unleashed on my unsuspecting foe. Yeah true, I don't get enough cascades on my side to make it worthwhile for the dev to do that no matter how much overtime he may want.0

I thought the momento referance was pretty funny, and not profane or mean....and possibly true.0 -

That.... seems like a bug. Goons don't generate AP of a color not on the board?0 -
I think we get it. People hate the execution of the change and it turns people into a frothy, rabid mess about it.
Do we need pages and pages of the same sentiment?
I suppose it demonstrates the consensus, but wow!0 -

Well, if that many people are unhappy about the change then yes, yes we do. Our strength to communicate our likes and dislikes comes in numbers, not individuals.0 -

" would actually be a great little thing to have added to the game - it would honestly help out when I'm fighting a goon I haven't seen in a long while, so I can remember what they do.
However, we aren't going to get something helpful: we're going to get an "off" switch for this horribly unhelpful thing that 100% of players will use, thus making it 100% useless. It's actually WORSE this way because we actually could use something that fixed the issue they were trying to fix; but this fix is so bad, and they will just hide it instead of making it better.
Edit: Also, for the record, 3 days into this change and it's still horribly, horribly annoying. It's really disappointing to fight goon nodes now.0 -
Man, that little pause you get in a goonless fight is puh-retty damn annoying.0

There have been a few fights that my banner has switched for a round or two from +2 +2 to 0 +2. I did not know why it happened, but I accepted it. Nice to see the reason for it. Something positive came out of the banner!!0 -
Owww it hurts! Please stop it for the love of God!!!0
