Two days ago D3 prejudice all players that are non grinders in pve slice 1 releasing a sub bracket before the time.

Today ANOTHER crucial change in the middle of heavy tourneys, both pvp and pve.

I dont know what really say about it. Almost every week a new surprise. Most of them not very good in my opinion. I dont want this update, you must disable it NOW.

    Beta Testers, hello???
They tell us they can't change node refresh timers because they don't know how it still affect the event, but open a sub (allegedly tested and locked down for a week), and push a patch in the same event.

Thanks for the feedback! We'll be adding a option to the options menu to turn this off in R71.

Unless R71 is coming out now, still not fast enough. This makes my pve goon squad of blade, daken, falcon unplayable, literally. Some turns darken my screen by the time all passives and this goon feed banner resolve. That used to only happen on an epically bad AI cascade.

Thank You! I was just about to make a similar post. Let no one say you guys didn't handle this in a timely manner. icon_e_biggrin.gificon_e_biggrin.gificon_e_biggrin.gif

icon_rolleyes.gif Alright guys, calm down. Yes, it's really annoying, but it doesn't break the game. We'll survive 'til r71.

(Seriously devs, please let us test changes for you! You have a really enthusiastic and passionate fan-base here on the forums who are interested and invested in the continuing success of your game!)
  • Man, you people over there are just batting a 100 with these tweaks and characters. First nut gurl with all of her very OBVIOUS terms that suggest lewd and obscenity, then you tag Daveomites pic for being 'non-compliant', now this?!?!?!?! What are you people smoking over there??? So far, with the banner shooting across the screen to 'show' us the goons and soldiers AP accumulation. Why did you guys add that? I really don't get it. To start, we already knew that they were automatically generating AP each turn. Secondly, that banner shooting across the screen is just god-awful ANNOYING as all hell. Personally, I really don't care to see what AP is being added to their status as a simple swipe across the screen allows me to view what they have. I mean, if anyone is too lazy to swipe their screen and complain about 'Oh no, I don't know how much AP the goons have', then something is wrong with them. Again, why you ladiez and germz at D3 added this is beyond my comprehension. It's very annoying, irrelevant, and a complete waste of server data that could be used to incorporate elsewhere in the game. It delays the game by seconds (which you would know if someone actually put any thought into this inane idea)!!! Please remove this crazy banner shooting across the screen. It does NOT improve the game in any way. Thank you.

    Ohgodohgodohgodohgodohgod!!! Make it stooooooooooopppppppp!!!!!

I'm about to poke nails into my eyeballs, to end the torment!!! (Hmmm, that might be less painful than enduring another goon node!!)

And, yes, for the love of all that's holy, fix the pause in regular nodes!!!! Gah!!!!

Seriously, did you guys actually test this? icon_eek.gif

It's pretty clear the QA play testing team at Demiurge don't play the game regularly. The added delay to gameplay and making the playing field effectively unviewable during the animation should have been called out in stage one of testing.

Please roll this back completely and come back with a new implementation. Some possible approaches:

    A) Put the AP displays outside the match playing field--and don't delay moving to the next turn.

    B) Put the AP goon generation stats in the goon descriptions. Seems like that would be so much simpler to do then creating a new intrusive and game delaying animation every turn.

    C) Put the AP goon generation stats in the on-screen goon character display. No need to update them after every turn--if the goon is dead or stunned then don't show the AP production stats for that goon.

    This is epically bad.

You can't play at anything approaching a natural or fast pace.

This needs an update fix within hours, seriously.

Good plan, until you end up getting a forced update right when your shield is about to expire...

Adding my voice to this. Ugly, slow and utterly useless make a trifecta of suck. It makes me sad that you guys wasted time and effort in this. We just wanted to see the AP gain on the tiny little notification at the end of the turn that you get while playing PCs. If someone complained about not knowing where additional AP was coming from, well they just need to research a bit or ask questions to understand that goons produce it instead of burdening us all with this detailed dossier underlining exactly how much AP of each colour each goon is producing.

The hardest thing to understand is that this is a feature that if two people have requested, three certainly haven't. In the meantime, features requested by hundreds of people (de-speccing, skins, etc.) keep not happening.

Please, PLEASE do not force us to update till this has been fixed. I'll hit "Skip" 50 times/day if you let me, just don't force us to accept this

+1 to make it optional, or to just turn it off.
There is enough room at top screen to place notifications that aren't intrusive.
I'd understand the need of them if they displayed any useful information, but this is just silly.

I have read most of the replys in this thread, but not all of them. So my question may have already been asked and/or answered, (if so, sorry), but I didn't see it, so I'll ask anyway.....

There is going to be an option to turn the goons Ap gain banner off. Okay. Sounds good. Here's my question though: If I turn it off, will it just do like non-goon matches and pause for a second after every turn, or will it stop the pause too?

Also, as a mobile player, being able to see the enemy Ap without scrolling would be nice. However, this does not do that. It only tells us how much the goons take each turn, not how much they have. If I have to scroll to see what they have anyway, then figuring out how much they took the last turn is easy. I just check see how much the totals went up. I appreciate the thought and the effort on D3's end, and I thank them for that, but this feature just does more harm than good. It's not a bad idea, just not done as well as it could have been IMO.

    edit for spelling
