Greetings everyone,
It's time to take a look at the Marvel Puzzle Quest R70 update!
R70 Patch Notes:
Not that long ago...in a galaxy...right here...
UI, Tweaks & Bug Fixes
- Fixed an exploit where, if the game closed unexpectedly in the middle of a Shield purchase, a Shield’s cooldown would be triggered, but the Shield wouldn’t actually have been purchased.
- Fixed an issue that could prevent iOS and Android users from connecting to Facebook (affected players would see a “Login Failed” error message).
- A banner is now displayed when minion characters that don’t move the board gain AP.

- A little less math for you! When you’re choosing an ending time for an Event, the display of the time left until the Event starts or ends now includes days instead of just hours. Instead of seeing “31h 59m” left, you’ll see “1d 7h 59m.”
- Players are now more likely to face human opponents in Versus matches.
-
*In order to get Versus matchmaking started, we seed Events with pre-generated teams. Some of you probably recognize their names; pyromantic, KicksthatKick, etc. (They’re secretly shout-outs to Gillen & McKelvie’s so-many-feels Young Avengers run.) But most players expect to play against actual people in Versus Events, so we changed things so that you see other players as soon as possible when you first enter an Event. The very first players in an Event will still see the pre-generated teams.

Is Demiurge one too, or is that just a happy coincidence?
I like the idea of the banner but seeing it take over the field of play seems like it would get very old if it happens every turn of every match that has even a single goon in it. Maybe make it smaller and put it over the enemy heads so we can get on with the game-playing after it's no longer new information demanding our attention?0 -
Since seed teams are being nerfed; I'm hoping that's because lightning rounds/PVP's will all be double iso. The only other conclusion is that the developers are trying to make scarce iso even more difficult to come by. Even they cannot be that devious...0

Some new players were complaining about seed teams without understanding the consequences.0 -

Seed teams are awesome to play against (usually) - free ISO and first rewards.
This is going to suck huge time if it's implemented for LR's.0 -
Sad to see nothings in the works for providing shield cooldown info while shielded.0

It would be nice if the post was not vague on what they meant by change to seed teams. I'm hoping they just mean if you join a half an hour after an event begins, your get no seed teams. However, you join right away like in LR, you get seed teams until the points pool builds up enough; then, all seed teams disappear.
Unfortunately, that part of the post was clear as mud....Georgia red clay mud.0 -
Frequently I only play LR against seed teams. Please, please, please don't reduce the seed teams in LRs. You'll wreck them.0
-
Why would anyone not want to fight seed teams?!!? Easy wins with no worry of retaliations!0
-
Can someone from the dev team let us know if this patch will implement a shield cooldown timer that we can see. This should be incredibly easy and is the most needed change to the game right now.0
-
Don't take away our seed teams! We need them! Be merciful devs!0
-
Seed teams are a vital source of ISO in lightning rounds and of PvP wins for new players, who would otherwise be thrown into the grinder a lot quicker. Even if they only get three free wins against Pyromantic & Co. ever event, that's a big help for somebody who'd otherwise get just one or two contested wins per event. Think about this - it's not like anybody's going to buy ISO to make up the difference, we'll just get bored sooner.0
-
It's not as if we needed to have seed teams... it's just a novel bonus, like when that goofy baker packs in 13 cookies every time you buy a dozen. It's just the rationale seems kinda... off.
If the developers don't want to hand out 70 easy points every event, perhaps they could have just made the seed teams more difficult... a couple more BattleAngels and less pyromantics, for example.0 -

Indeed. If you see all 10 (?) of the seed teams you can get over 200 points and a decent lot of ISO for no real effort, and that Bagman (but just maybe a 4*) token at 300 is now only 3 or 4 real fights away.0 -

Aw man, I love the seed teams. They help you get warmed up for the "real battles", and there's no chance of retaliations. I think every player should get to experience at least six seed teams to get ready to rumble, regardless of when they join. If they don't like the seed teams (for some insane reason), let the skips on seed teams be without skip tax consequence. Don't take them away from those of us who enjoy them!
As others have said, since they nerfed the lightning rounds, it's a rare lightning round that I play anything beyond just the seed teams.0 -
The devs probably don't want to hand out any seed team but since this game's MMR magically forgets everything you ever did in the past whenever you start a new event, someone has to fight these seed teams to establish any kind of starting point. For example if you were fighting maxed out teams at the end of your last PvP event, it's fairly easy to verify that you don't start fighting these guys immediately again at the start in your next event. That's because the game forgot you were that good, but if the game forgot that stuff it also has no information to base what your new set of opponent should be. I always thought it's kind of silly it worked like this but since the game also forgets whatever your ranking is every 3 days in PvP, I guess it has no choice but to do that.0

it's the conspiracy of selling more heath packs since now u don't get easy seed teams.0
