We'd gotten used to lack of synergy in Heroic rosters, but anti-synergy seems to be the thing now...0 -

Eh. Just run obw in place of torch and get double dip on the strike tiles every time you match blue, plus double healers all the way. Note that the OBW is an amazing cover to give away for the 2* crowd, one I'd be very very happy to be handed a month or so back.0 -
Just joined 1st slice, bracket at 975 for anyone who cares0

how do we know what slice is slice or is slice like ends at 3pm ends at 6pm ect ect ect
im still up in the air to join tomorrow and do the 3pm end or 6pm end
man if initial sub is 36h that would push end of sub 1 at 3pm friday. got doc appointment at 315pm. so have just have to do the 6pm one (but think there will be tons more on the 6 then the 3....choices choices choices. + dont plan on starting till 9 or 10 so it be either a 3 hour or 6 hour loss.0 -
This is a DA themed event, so you're not going to be able to just leave red alone when there's Juggernaut/Moonstone/Daken that all do something dangerous with red tiles (you need to get rid of the red strike tiles to deal with Chemical Reaction).0

NorthernPolarity wrote:Nah, Heroic Juggs was terrible. This one has 3 subs and is basically structured like a normal event except with the lock out. Essentially, the people without maxed blades / torches will hate it, and people with them will think that its perfectly fine. Given how Demiurge literally just gave out Torch / Blade covers in the past couple of weeks, I can't see this being seen really as a super blatant cash grab (which they easily could have done by making the featured character Cage, for instance), but rather simply a normal cash grab like any other event would be.
Edit: Hey look! The city sub is allowing more characters to be used as well: Gamora, 3* Cap, MN Mags, C. Hawkeye are all on the list! What a pleasant surprise, that makes this even less of a cash grab, so instead of a moderate cash grab, it's been now downgraded to a mini cash grab. Props to Demiurge for making heroics less painful for all!
Now I really just want all events to be rated for their 'cash grabbiness'.0 -
Considering how heroics have been missing lately, i think it's ok for us to get this. Oscorp is not as bad as Jugs and Venom Heroics. At least there are subs and more rewards than the other heroics. And they gave us an expanded limited roster (based on what others posted if i understand correctly).
And regarding Squirrel Girl, a number of forumites have been asking for her so here they give us Squirrel girl and what happens? People end up complaining. I think it's a fun character. Not as cool as one of the Avengers or FF or big heroes but let's face it. Regardless of who the character is, we'll use them if they have good abilities. If they have poor abilities (like Beast and IW) they'll get relegated to obscurity in our rosters.
Let's not get too critical with D3. I think they have been trying to improve the game. I dont agree with all of it or how some of it were implemented but at least they're trying to build the game they want and giving us the game we want. There will have to be some compromise along that line.0 -
Seems like they finally learned that picking 3 random hero themed 3*s and hope they can form a playable team was crazy talk.0

For reference, this was the format for the last run:
Heroic Oscorp
Length of Event: 6.5 days
Sub-Events? Yes; Alliance Rewards in Sub-Events? No
Number of Sub-Events: 2
Length of Sub-Events: 2.5 days (60 hours)
Main Nodes after Sub-Events End? Yes
The main nodes after the sub-events end were repeatable but had very limited rubberbanding last time IIRC.
So for this version, it is running for 5.5 days
Subevent 1 is running for 1.5 days.
That would mean that Sub 2 will run for 2.5 days and the main will be open for 1.5 days, if they follow past event timing. This would mean sub 2 will end 12 hours away from the chosen endtime. Hopefully, they have listened to the forums and both will run for 48 hours, which would mean all 3 endtimes would be as selected.0 -

There may be 3 subs, (2x Tower), based on my leaks.0 -

It's odd - people are saying she sucks already, when in reality she's one of Marvel's most powerful characters. Plus the fact we don't have any cover info on her yet.
I just find it interesting so many people are dismissing her.
Oh well, I guess it'll be another 'Luke Cage' situation where I can get a stress-free cover for her. Sounds good to me!0 -
Not sure if this helps but I'm running an undercovered Torch (~ lvl 80 pre buffed), Spidey ~100 and OBW ~94
Spidey's defense tiles make life a lot easier plus he can stun and Torch's green does ~1400 a turn as long as you keep making green matches. Prioritize Purple, then Green. I've only had one bad match and that's b/c of cascades0 -

Let's not get too to critical with your government, they have been trying to improve. Do you pay tax?
the problem of Ai is NOT leveling but cover not matter how level the ai are , they are all fully cover up... this is a lazy bad design
I will tell my staff " you are fired" if their work come with such Lazy thing.0 -

D3 do not give marvel enough license fees to get a good character0 -

I'd like to just vent that it's completely asinine that we have to play 'guess the rules' sometimes. It can't be that difficult to announce somewhere that they made a change. I don't care if's its an Instagram picture of some skywriting in the middle of Kansas.
Please Devs, give us a heads up when you change the rules.
(I won't even get started about not posting the Squirrels pre-release stats like they used to, so we at least have an idea if it's worth chasing)0 -
ark123 wrote:Btw Gamora, Steve Rogers, MnMags and Hawkeye are also boosted, and not in the OP.
Steve rogers alone should make the people without big fat Blades happier. Goes great with mnmags and OBW
initial sub is 36h
the nodes have 3h cooldowns.
This is probably the best Heroic roster we've ever had. Which isn't saying that much, but still.
OK, now I'm confused - do we have five 3*s available? That would take a lot of the edge off of this, since the thing that's generally frustrated me the most is having three playable characters for 90% of the points available.0 -
orionpeace wrote:Really??!!?!?
We get the second most ridiculously absurd character in the Marvel Universe before fan favorites like Gambit, Doctor Strange or Cyclops. Outrageous.
Lets be careful who we call "favorites", I'm guessing anyone who didn't grow up on the (admittedly awesome) 90's X-Men cartoon doesnt care one bit about Gambit.
Cyclops is probably #1 if you made a list of important heroes in the Marvel Universe who aren't in the game but you also need to consider powers, Optic Blast is a powerful Red, but then what? a leadership ability like Ms. Marvel's? Phoenix would make a better character I think.0 -
What are the sub rewards?0
