Maybe all you guys quitting is the reason I have actually been placing well in tourneys lately! I was used to not abusing rags to win matches so I am doing just fine

i just have little faith in the development team in thinking through the changes they've made, that's all (ie rag overhanded nerf indirectly nerfing all characters that use a green power. so if you maxed out a rag and a grey widow, that's hundreds of thousands of isos wasted for character synergy that can be changed in an instance). Not to mention the statistical analysis comparing rag to thor and how thor is somehow way better than rag now.

and with iceix gone, the community has no dev to share us their insight. the dev's appeared enmasse at the end of the week, but unless they consistently show that they have a presence on the forums, it'll only appear like they appeared in panic over the community outrage, which is never good.

can you honestly say he's fixed?

honestly, he's broken now, just in the exact opposite direction.

edit: and until the thor fix is put into place, you can make a direct comparison with thor on how he got broken ie same red power ap, but less power then something 30 levels below him, plus one less tile generation.

Again, what is the point of having 3* characters costing way more if they're not better than 2*s? Progression > balance.

If i want true balance I'm going to play bejeweled. Every color does the same in that game.

No, they heavily overnerfed him. His red power being worse than thors is pretty ridiculous and when they nerf thor and wolverine to **** too, I may be right in the quitting boat with you guys. I just think its funny how everyone is rage quitting over not being able to exploit the game with an OP character anymore.

If you read my first post carefully it's not simply the Rags nerf, its the Rags nerf as a sign of whats to come.

I'm having a lot of fun playing the original puzzle quest. I forgot how slow that game is, but I don't mind since there's no ISO grind.

I wouldn't mind MPQ being slow if not for the insane amount of isos it takes to do anything.

Exactly. People are mischaracterizing it about being only being about the Rag nerf, when really it's a systematic loss of trust in the direction that they're taking the game

Its just lazy to do away with a character the way they did. And people have been playing the game a long time. Lot of factors that angered a lot of people. I think the devs not stepping up and giving a better answer than we were just "balancing the game" just encites anger amongst the player base. Most of us are just in the dark, we are no longer excited for the next new character but dreading the next public neutering.

This just seems to be how they are. the HP cover slot prices, the HP pack increase, Storm nerf, Loki nerf, ect ect. They don't ever give any warning and I agree It is really stupid.

You won't find a single one of us who have *rage quit* ( ) who didn't think a nerf was warranted, and you'd find a dozen suggestions by the very ones of us who are moving on as to our thoughts on what would be more fair. The sheer number of nerfs since release just seems to be a testament that this game is being made up as it goes and nothing was well thought out. Then we have all of these bugs that appear every time they patch something, and the solution is, you pay HP for the fix. They make these changes without any real announcements, and customer support from all accounts is non-existent.

They are certainly taking this game in a direction that slows it down, requiring you to spend health packs and not being able to grind out Iso in quantities that you could. This translates to ponying up more cash, or simply stop being a hard-core player. You may enjoy playing this type of game, so please, enjoy it. For those of us who knew a game that we enjoyed, and watched it transform into something different, and see they intend to keep taking it down that other path, we simply are bidding them adieu. Rags wasn't the reason in and of itself, it was more the final straw and confirmation of the trend.

Not everyone moves off a stock as it plummets, but every day you hang on and see it dip a little more, you keep questioning, do I jump or hold out hope it will go back up. We made our move.

Loki was a purple Forest Fire, there's no way you could interpret that as balanced without making it absurdly costed (something that puts Grant Invisibility to shame). C. Storm was on every team to do nothing more than take advantage of her passive on letting the sponsored hero take hits - and even worse, when a C. Storm was matched with a C. Storm, both teams ended up nearly dead as a result of passives, which is definitely not intended by design. Ragnarok was breaking the game over his knee. The next hero I could see getting heavily nerfed is Spiderman - but hopefully it isn't as heavy-handed as Ragnarok's was (C. Storm is still a great character, Loki is.. incredibly niche, Ragnarok will get reworked again, people just need patience).

at least at that time, iceix would comment on certain changes like the hp changes. now, we're without even his voice. and i doubt they'll change rag at this point, but nerf the other characters in line with ragnarok, who is now the standard

Loki was an out of the gate misstep but was corrected to not really be a fun character. Hood is a good example of a real weak character coming out of the box that was improved upon. C Storm wasn't that bad as long as you attacked her first. Kinda the opposite of hulk. Just ignore him and save up all your attacks for the end. I'll admit rags was a pretty broken character but in a game where the AI is pretty bad he was the best defense because it was a deterant to most players to attack you. He was still pretty easy as long as you targeted red gems and denied him charging up. Same with spidey. Don't let him get blues and cut him off.

They just gave us a list of characters who are going to get retooled, so how can you still complain?

Ragnarok was justifiably nerfed. He may need to be adjusted upwards, but I can at least say he stands generally more even with the other characters than when he stood on leagues ahead of them.

If they wanted you to buy health packs they wouldn't have characters like Spidey, who offer healing and/or support. I almost never use a health pack because of this. What is the cost? A lot of ap gathering and strategy which is time consuming. That is the problem with having characters that can deal out enough damage that you don't get touched, it makes playing with support/healers pointless. If you want to slam through other teams fast, it will cost you health packs. If you want to do it without getting hurt as much, you will have to do some strategy and use support characters.

I would rather have strategy based game than brainless skill spams like what Ragnarok offered. I have played for some time, and thanks to these changes, I will continue to play. Here is hoping that there will never be a single "must have" character to be competitive in this game again. Instead let's hope it is all about team combination synergy.

I think they generally do pretty good when it comes to fixes/changes. It is about time they give some consideration to balancing, we can probably thank Ragnarok for putting it in the spotlight.

If they do nerf down the best damage dealers, I hope they consider lowering some of the highest HP characters. It is frustrating taking them down normally, but when they are buffed it is agonizing.
