Damn, that #42 node was brutal. I tried to Sentry-bomb it first, with various combinations of Hulk/BP/Hood to back up Sentry, but the AI rained down cascades on the opposing team like manna from heaven and wiped me within two or three moves. Finally, I went with the desperation team of LCap/IM40/OBW + metric ton of boosts, and that did it, mainly because I got lucky with a lot of purple matches early on. Peacekeeper really saved my butt this time, as I managed to stun X-Force right after a black cascade and take him out while before he woke up.

Anyone have advice for simulation 38? I've thrown myself against it for about 5 full health pack recharges now, trying different team comps, with no luck.

For me the levels are 182 Juggs/181 CMags/181 Loki.

Obviously bring xforce. Don't bring storm because she takes forever without mnmags and also has low health, even boosted. Beyond xforce, I'd try obw and maybe 2* Thor, which gets you rainbow coverage. Yeah they're 2* characters, but are fully covered and can help. Since you have 5 black for xforce boost green/black and + all boosts if you have them and prioritize black matches. Surgical strike will get you green to fuel either xforce or COTS. Prioritize downing Loki then mags then juggs. It'll take a lucky board for sure, but I think that's your best shot.

I finally managed to get 40 done with Lcap/IM40/OBW + boosts after more than a dozen tries with different team compositions. The winning combo was in that attempt mix at least twice, but as said above, any cascade on the ai side just means a wipe. Not looking forward to 41 or 42, but hopefully I won't be stuck on either as long as that one.

Thanks, I'll give that a shot when I get a . OBW/Thor was my 2* team of choice for a long while. One sad point, however is that Juggs guarantees that Surgical Strike gets red. Still, it might be possible to build the green from red, yellow using Thor.

Edit: Silly me. Juggs guarantees green, actually. You're right.

You don't mention Deadpool. If you have one purple cover and the points, run him with oBW and race to 14 purple.

Assuming you don't, does Surgical Strike take Red or Green on Juggs? If it takes red, you don't have a good outlet. If it takes green, then it goes into X-Force but with 3 covers, not that powerful.

I would try AWolvie/oBW/Storm. Start with Loki, then Mags, then Juggs. Keep an eye on the red count and try and suicide accordingly if Headbutt is coming. Focus on Green and Blue for Storm, Purple for oBW, and Red for Wolvie. Try to avoid match-4 unless Loki is stunned/dead. Boost Purple/Blue and Red/Yellow, with a team up of choice. Good luck

You have a 94 team then you skipped straight to X-force ????? Your personal scaling is really gonna hurt you like that, especially here...

Eh, actually I've had XForce at that level for quite a while (since before I really understood the scaling). I didn't exactly 'skip straight to' him. The only thing I've done to him in a good long while is to add covers. Anyway, I've got several more floating just below this level (80 - 89), but didn't think that they would be relevant, especially since they're mostly soft capped.

Ah. I feel your pain....I wouldn't have leveled my hood so quickly if I knew he was going to be getting hit in the face as a result of it. I think you already understand but my point was in PVE, but ESPECIALLY in gauntlet, personal scaling goes to 11. There've been lots of other good suggestions, but as i've stated before about gauntlet, a big part of it is luck...just have to keep throwing characters at it . I highly recommend(as others have) 2*Storm.

Honestly, in Gauntlet you either get a good board or you don't. I retreat from battles in gauntlet more than any other type of battle just because everything has to go 'perfect' for later nodes. Not much you can do when the enemy kills one of your characters on turn 5, after all.

I'm just glad I have her decently covered for when she'll get tweaked 8 months from now, then I can finally use her!

And to be fair, they gave out falcon ALOT this past (month? Season?), but no one's gonna complain about an actually good character.

Your Spidey and Punisher have screwed you over(Personal Scaling). I can't give you much actual advice b/c your roster is so...spread out. Pour some ISO into hulk - he's a good green battery if nothing else.

Do you not have Hawkeye? My first recommendation is that you grind PVP hard until you get 13 of him. Or five of his purple. Then you have him, Storm, and MNMags.

And no **Daken, either. You'll get a full **Daken before you get another full three-star. Worth having.

If I had to pick your strongest option, I'd say OBW, Punisher, and **Wolverine. Or Spider-man, OBW, Punisher/Wolverine.

Espionage plus strike tiles, steal lots of blue for stunning (or healing if desperate), collect purple for protect tiles, but steal purple for more stealing. You're stealing extra black for molotovs, by which time you hopefully have some strikes out. Best strategy I can see.

He won't get espionage with Punisher and Spider-Man at their respective levels. It only works on colors she tanks

I advise that you try Patch/GSBW/MHawkeye in the following manner:
Boost g/b, boost all, boost b/p
-Target Loki and Match purple
-Read the board, this Deceptive Tactics is critical, get 12 green from it and _at least_ 2 crits, preferably one crit being a 'move' crit (ie deceptive tactics generates a crit, you move a tile to get a crit).
-Take r match or block 4/5 crits (just stall for 1 turn to let mhawkeye's timers to tick)
-Use Berserker's Rage 2 times _this should pretty much kill loki_, mhawkeye will have almost all of the purple occupied with CD tiles, so it minimizes their strike tiles
-Watch mhawkeye's tiles kill cMags
-Mop up with 6-10 green strike tiles

NooTs:

I recommend that you try Punisher/Wolverine/IM40.
Boost y/r, boost all, Healing TU
-Match yellow and red, use 6k Adamantium Slash as many times as it takes, or punpun's finisher if it's greater
Very risky, restrict red and blue, collect yellow, level IM40 before you go in as far as you have ISO to get.
