Spider man is about twenty times better than her.
add mnmags and you have a character that makes you take no match damage and can perma stun everyone. That beats anything shehulk can do in pve. easily.
It's a nice duo for when you can't use patch cstorm mnmags, which is easily the best pve combo in the game.
What kind of nonexistent scaling are you playing to be able to use a character let alone two that can often die to one bad cascade? Patch ceases to be relevent when the enemy in the level 200+ range unless you want to just trade Berserker Rage and hope you make better cascade than the other team. Even Molotov + Berserker Rage isn't going to make a dent on enemies with more than 10K HP let alone any moves that cost more than Molotov to use.
Don't try to tell me it doesn't work. I use it all the time. It's the best pve team in a format where you only have to beat each node once.
Try doing the math on how much damage zerker rage+two (you can get more, but two is standard) criticals+any resulting cascades+ boosted cstorm blue does. You'll be surprised.
I actually believe this would also the best pvp team in the game, if it wasn't so weak on defense. If you luck into the two purple matches early, you're walking away missing about 300 health on mnmags and thats it.0 -

Very last node. A big FU from the devs....
Outside of Deadpool, they're only 30 levels higher than what you could face in PvP with usually a more restrictive roster selection. Seeing 4* in an event like Gauntlet should be a sigh of relief. 1*/2* are usually the guys you don't want to see, like Jugg + OBW + Daken or Ares at level 300+.0 -
Ugh. Stuck early in Alpine (#18).
Of the boosted characters, only my Wolverine and Storm are fully covered. I've got 5 covers for Captain Marvel, which makes her okay, but the rest are a wash.
Wolverine, Storm, and Captain Marvel combo isn't good enough. I've only got good 2 characters. Any advice?0 -

Except in PvP I can use my own 4* to beat the TWO 200+ level toons while largely ignoring the rarely covered/leveled feature character.
The feature character in this case, is a buffed deadpool that has the fun ability to protect the two big damage dealers when they get lower health than him. Nice job trying to underplay the difficulty.0 -

If you have mHawkeye and mnmags, then the old reliable cstorm/mnmags/mhawkeye team works wonders. for alpine 18 in particular, I would recommend using OBW + some good green/red tanks (e.g. ares/thor/wolvie) and deny red and green at all costs (i.e, even pass on match-4s if taking it would mean red or green ap for the opponent. Juggs' abilities will destroy you if he gets rolling, since the ai doesn't give a **** about saving health for the next node).0 -
I've come to realize that scaling in this game has made PvE 2 kind of games where the guys on the easier version often have no idea what the heck the guys doing the harder version are talking about. To illustrate here's a node I just wiped twice on. It's level 360 Magneto (classic), Loki, and Juggernaut. Magnetized Particles does 7X1500 while Polarized Force does 550X # of tiles destroyed. Headbutt does 9100 damage to one person (and 4500 to himself, as if it matters). They have Loki, so you can't even make any match 4 early on because you'll just lose all your AP, and Illusion gives them a powerful purple. Their HP values are 12.8K (Loki), 14.?K (Magneto), and 29K (Juggernaut). Both of my games went something like:
Red match 4 on board
Try to break it up
Opponent takes a red match 3 from what's left over
Repeat
Headbutt
The end
I have a hard time understanding why people are even complaining about a node like Deadpool/Thor(4*)/X Force when they can't kill you in 2 matches. I've had my characters dropped in 2 turns by Espionage damage from a level 395 OBW chaining Espionages. If an opponent can't kill you in 2 matches in PvE then you don't really know what it's like to be on the wrong end of scaling. I'm not going to say that makes you bad or anything but it's just not the same game when you're pretty much dead after the AI makes 2 matches of a given color.0 -
They probably put Deadpool on that node with X-Force and 4*Thor for the sole reason of preventing people from dropping instant win Whales Whales Whales.
Also, facing level 300+ X-Force is definitely better than facing a level 300+ Juggernaut or Ares0 -

Alpine Tactics: Essentials 10, 11,12 feature Mystique
F***!
Guess I don't have to bother then (only char I dont have...).
Edit: Hm, Mystique reward for the 3rd part. Maybe clear all but essentials in the 2nd and hope I can get to her in the 3rd one...0 -
I just meant she is best for tanking MMR, though mentioning Ock is understable
Mine doesn't even have Red yet.0 -
Cstorm/MNMags/Hawkeye is the way to go with this PVE. Combine them with +1 Purple and Blue AP, +1 to all AP/10% Blue and purple damage, 25% Critical strike damage and you've got a nuke team. You will need 1-2 purple matches to fuel MNMags and then Wind Storm and just wait for Speed Shot to nuke at least one of them down and injure the other one pretty bad depending on their health.
In case u can't use MNMags or CStorm in certain nodes because you play against them throw in a LCap or OBW if you have. Almost done with second Gauntlet with this combo. Let's see how the 3rd one treats me0 -

If it was possible to pick which two colours to deplete, it could become a viable skill, and do what it was meant to do, on offence anyway.
She and Hank desperately needs some twitching, but it escapes me why they keep targetting perfectly fine characters to vault in order "to work on", and leave Jenny and Hank running around like this.0 -
I just realized that if you do not have Mystique or She-Hulk that are essential on the 2nd and 3rd gauntlet, you can get them in this event. If you don't have Mystique for for the 2nd sub, just go on the 3rd one and gather enough points to win her there. She's around 2500k points I think. Then go back to 2nd round and finish the Mystique essential nodes to get She-Hulk. Go back to 3rd sub again and finish the rest to win Loki at the end.
Unless you cannot get Mystique in the 3rd sub without having She-Hulk, this is a very well thought out event reward wise. If you need Mystique to get She-Hulk and vice versa then this sucks donkey balls.0 -
So what line up did everyone use to beat #42?0

Groot is such a pain in the butt on the Med Gauntlet's last node!
I take out Thor first, Blade second, and always get Groot down to 500 health before he heals up. I need to start remembering to block yellow matches.
Good char design, damn you Groot.0 -
As annoyed as I am with this gauntlet level scaling, I'm actually really enjoying the difficult time I'm having with them. My characters are definitely getting a good beating but I'm still managing to squeeze out some wins. Albeit I'm still in the second run and only sim 22. I can only imagine what's actually waiting for me. All in all, I understand why we have 4 days to complete the gauntlet lool0

Except when it goes off and I laugh that she only healed for 400 something as I'm about to finish off her team. And then say **** happened to my 20 blues????0 -

Agreed, definitely think that the fact you only need to beat a node once makes the challenging scaling much more palatable.
Though thank goodness for boosts, finally getting to use all of those crit boosts I get seemingly every match!0
