It really helps if you have someone who can stun for the last sub because the hard nodes are all villian/goon combo mix and Mystique has relatively few HP, so you can try to kill her fast and then stun Doom and that makes everything way easier. You're probably not going to outrace Doom to Summon Demons and even if you do, Masterstroke also hurts a lot too and I rather take Summon Demons because Masterstroke ruins your ability to counterattack on the major offense colors. Captain America is doing a lot of work in these missions for me.

That's because as you go up in s, match damage per level decreases.

If you're having trouble with that node, maybe try the old Classic Storm + MN Magneto combo? Thor should at least tank yellow then, I'd think.

Never really paid attention to that. I was wondering why my 2* Cap was tanking for the TU tiles despite Thorina being level boosted much higher.
I've been stuck on The Heart of Castle Doom since the start as I can never take Doom down quick enough before he starts launching Summon Demons.
What annoys me to no end is that I cannot even take the Doombot or Iso-Mutant down before those stupid attack tiles start filling the screen guaranteeing a loss.

Use Summon Demons to your advantage with Daken/Hulk CMarv/X. I use Hulk as a Green Generator to put out lots of Daken/Berserker rage strikes. Please check out last thread if you're having trouble with the event, everyone - its the same thing.

I will admit the powered up heroes are alot less relevant tho.

The only good powered up 3* was Deadpool last time. Now the only good 3* is Blade. They are both the same tier character. Deadpool does a little more direct damage but Blade has a better passive.

In 2* land(well I guess transition land too) 2*Wolv did alot: tanked for falcon, gave easy strike tiles for Daken, fast dmg to down mystique, subbed for 3*Wolv. But you're right if you're purely in 3*land unless your Blade is there as well you're SOL

Blade is considerably better than DP but you probably don't have any of his covers maxed at this point (I sure do not). Even at 3/3/3 he's not a complete deadweight in a featured node while fighting alongside X Force who renders one of his skills obselete. I had some 700 strength attack tiles out at level 3 and at level 5 it'd be 2X800 or so I think, and that's enough to put serious damage even to level 200+ enemies.

well, at 34k now, so 40k shouldn't be a problem tonight unless scaling gets ridiculous. I've actually been using CStorm/MNMags/Hulk(underleveled) for the two hardest non-essentials. Even without buffs they get the job done though need major healing afterwards. Should be smooth sailing with buffs if needed. And its nice that this time around theres 1 essential I can get to.

Got my Blade cover, I'm done.

My strategy this time around was to skip the first sub, play the easy nodes in the other two just long enough to get to 40K, then stop. Nice and relaxing, and I don't think lack of Gamora is going to make much difference to me in the long run.

You'll regret it when the next PVE rewards will be <include character you want covers for the most>

Damn 4 essentials.... Higher math sez I can finish tonight @ 61K, +/- 700.

Only problem: in my bracket that's gonna land me in the forties in terms of rank....maybe.

So, anyone need 61K for their alliance? I'm pretty resigned to 1 cover, but if I can help an Alliance AND get a 2nd ? Much better.

She's frail. Honestly. Either she's purely outscaling you, or you can use Hulk/Patch/Daken/Quick dmg but high HP to pulverize her.

I'd much rather face Mystique than Ares/Sentry/Hood/List goes on.

Did one final clear of the easy nodes in the last 20 minutes, and got just high enough for 1 Gamora cover. Not bad for an event I mostly skipped.

That bracket ended up with only 33 people at the end. You could literally have done just the opening node and gotten a Gamora.

I was busy and couldn't start my final push til 30 minutes left. Left probably 15k on the table and a top 20 finish overall

Oh well, still got the one Gamora cover.
