    Thora essentials put me from "oh well didnt win a Thora yolo" to "FFFFFUUUUUUUU " in 0.5 seconds

    The fact that I did win Thora now makes me feel like I should hit this one hard to make the full use of it... icon_cry.gif

    Though i don't agree with the event timing (d3 give us a break and please let us rest for a day or 2) i believe PvE events are the best -if not the only- source of usefull rewards for many players (myself included).
    At least on PvE time spent playing (and of course winning Matches) means something such as progression rewards and high ranks.
    Probably the only bad thing is the 2.5hrs refreshes -4 or 5 hrs would be perfect- but then again nobody said it was easy.
    Despite a sleeping disorder or your wife\husband\bff kicking you out due to MPQ addiction i don't see why this is worse than any XF/Hood/whoever -aka PvP- event.

    It's worse because a bad PVP event can ruin your night and you may only win 1-2 covers. A bad PVE event can ruin your week, you'll spend 10X the amount of time playing and you'll still only win 1-2 covers.

    This is a friendly reminder that if you want to take a PvE break for a day or two, there's no reason you can't. There's zero incentive to join the event today, you can still win all the progression and placement awards joining later in the event.

    Just follow the other bracket thread, and make sure you join at a time where you're not a sub behind. In other words, if you want to join after the 1st sub ended, don't join until there's a bracket that started after the 1st sub ended, so as not to handicap yourself.

    As everyone else has stated, I don't see why we're getting PVEs so quickly now - we had 2-3 day breaks previously(Even goes till tuesday, another even starts on Friday).

    Also having 4* Thor essential is dumb. At least she's in tokens, I suppose. And I'm really glad...I can use...my powered up Beast....LOL!

    But I might indulge in some tokens to get more Blade.

    Your HP would be better spent on shields to boost your PVP score to earn Blade covers. There's only a 1.5% chance of pulling a Blade cover from a single event token.

    So the powered up characters this time around don't really do anything for me, and it seems to be more scaled than last time, even now. I may not be able to do some nodes...its a shame my Blade is so low.

    Just gotta remember I'm doing this for the progression reward(and Gamora, but that's more bracket-based). Even if that only means doing easy nodes.

    my main bracket 8-??? are all tied at 5100 points, 1-7 are grinding away

    Last time this event was run, I already said whoever designed it should not be allowed to touch event design ever again. Guess who didn't listen?
    • AI opponents just as over-scaled strong as last time, if not stronger. No regards given to previous complaints about the horribly over-powered AP-feeding combinations.
    • Ultra-rare 4* Thor that was basically only ever attainable by top players as the major boosted character and on the best essential nodes, essentially locking everyone but that upper echelon out of earning Gamora completely. This small player-group would already be heavily min-maxing on their point gains even if they didn't have the exclusive use of the max boosted character and the essential nodes. This set-up just hands them the event on a silver platter.
    • One other essential node set aside for Blade as a pitty-gift. Except it fails horribly at that as Blade was the other recent cover that was being hoarded by top players and that most middleground players had a snowball's chance in hell of earning.
    • The other boosted 3* is Beast. God-tiny-damn-worthless-kitty Beast. Need I say more? Someone needs to take his furry blue **** and mulch it through a food-processor; he's more useful spent as protein to feed others.
    • The boosted 2*s have no synergy going for them whatsoever, outside of MMag generating blue for Cap's semi-worthless stun. Zero real damage potential in the combination.

    To me, this kind of set-up just screams of incompetence and a complete lack of understanding of the game dynamic. If it would scream any louder, we would be required to wear protective gear for our ears while playing.

    Thorina being an essential character is a joke. Especially since the last event was going on during a holiday.

    Yep I will follow the advice.
    Usually I like grinding PvE (even when I know I don't have a chance at higher prizes like Thorina) but this last PvE left me quite exhausted. icon_exclaim.gif So I will change my habits this time and focus on PvP and prefer a late joining for this PvE.

    My... I could even play another game than MPQ during this (micro)break icon_e_surprised.gif

    Terrible pve, rich getting richer, requires a fairly rare 4* to earn a new character. No need to even try, I'll be sitting this one out.

    It is unfair that 4* thor gets to become essential when devil Dino doesn't ever get that chance.
    Now.. Where is the fairness in that? Those little hands are dying for action too, you know...
