  • That Thor + Dead Pool + Grey Black Widow mission is RIDICULOUS!

Those 3 characters are already pretty damn hard, but being forced to use an useless Mystique makes it ridiculously hard.

I made out ok with a full bore buffed hulk and a 140 ragnarok. Mystique of course sat in the corner like an asstard. icon_lol.gif
  • Sentry bombed that one a few times with help of my friend T'challa, who would usually become quite enraged just before the end of the fight
  • round 2 hulk got big buff but i have only 2 cover.........what the **** ...i foresee final round is the hood which i have 0 cover.......

  • Is there any sense in delaying the start o of clearing a sub? I mean you probably have rubberbanging from you bracket leader, not from sub leader. So you maybe lose some event progression but gain better positions in subs. Am I right?

The rubberband is from the sub leader not the main bracket leader.

There's no significant advantage to delay your sub but you probably don't want to start a sub right before you need to leave the game for extended time (like sleep). That's a good way to put yourself behind on that sub, even though it'd still net you more total points, but that shouldn't matter unless you're very borderilne to hitting the 160K reward (which requires a pace of 40K on the first sub).

I thought everything was wrt the global (sub) leader now. Otherwise you wouldn't see ANY RB when you join a fresh sub a day later

Yeah, it's global sub leader, not your own.
Which is why that "weak RB" that Phantron keeps droning on about only matters if you try to keep up with the global leader, and who would want to do that for Falcon rewards?
Rest of us normal people who start subs late have nice big RB, hopefully all the way up to the Mystique cover.

So when you join really doesn't matter, as long as you get like the last 4 refreshes in, you should more or less deplete the RB whenever you joined

I joined the hard sub at T-7h out. Did one full pass (took longer than expected between housework and such), then cleared all (6?) non-essential nodes again (wanted to leave enough time for nodes to fully recover for final hour grind). I was first in that hard sub bracket. Then went to join the easy sub but fell asleep just before finishing the last non-essential node and left the 3 essential nodes untouched.

Imagine my surprise when I woke up at T-30m (overslept the alarm - choose your own end time couldn't come soon enough) and still in first for that hard sub bracket. Quickly checked my standing and I was 300 pts above 2nd place. Did one clear of all essential nodes and went to try to grind the easy sub.

In the end Top 2 for hard sub and Top 50 for easy.

that effort gave me 34k in total for the first round. Hope I'm still in the running for Mystique.

Is my math off? If there are at least 40k available in R1, that means 60k for Round 2 and 90k for Round 3. Which is overshooting the top progression easily and of course, R1 had more than 40k points to offer. I got what, 33k in Round 1? I am 200% sure of getting the final progression.

I thought subs got +33% points, not +50%?
    So 52K for round 2, 68K round 3.
    That's a lot closer.

Just had a talk with them on your behalf. Raggie with his low cost red power helping get green tiles for a buffed hulk is going to be nasty.

Anyone else notice a sharp increase difficulty from sub 1 to sub 2? For the Mystique essentials, my hard nodes started at 40 and finished less than 60. I have about 4-5 166's, so it honestly felt like stealing for the first round. Now w/the Hulk essentials, my starting nodes were in the 150's, which again to be honest, felt more normal. Obviously I'm not complaining about the jump, b/c it really felt like a free ride the first subs. Just wanted to see if anyone else had this? Was the adjustment due to a 1 cover Mystique vs. max Hulk?
  • My essential subs went from an "easy" to a "normal" in round one, then I woke up today unlocked the subs and the essentials are all on "hard" and the non essentials are on "deadly" I saw over 50% raise in the levels of the opponents. The mystique cover's 160000 just for really far away.

the whole progression rewards for this event seems out of line. typically I score at least double the final progression points only doing essentials, that wont even get you close this event.
the points required between rewards jumps dramatically once you pass the 30k mark

My simulator strategy has always been the same.

Start the hard sub as soon as I have time to grind it for 2-3 refreshes that day. Only play the hard sub until the scaling gets to the point where it's too health pack intensive. Then stick to the essentials there (and maybe one of the high pt nodes if it's particularly lucky run through the essentials), but open the easy sub. Grind the easy sub to oblivion from that point.

If you're gunning for top 2, that strategy won't really cut it. If you're like me just trying to grind the subs and progression for HP/Iso, it's nice and low impact because you're really only playing 1 sub at a time. I was still 27th in the main after the first set, so I can probably push for top 20 if I want to turn on the jets for Falcon rewards I don't need.

I think the point is the essential character , if you don't have it. the event is end for you. If you have it the rewards is ok . I m afraid the final sub event request Hood which i don't have.............
