I dunno the best team. OBW and CMags conflict horribly, and I don't know if I would have gotten enough blue anyway. OBW/Hood/Ares, maybe? It will be hours before I can try again, though.
I wiped as well on that node with OBW/Ares/2*Daken. Board was absolutely terrible as I couldn't get any AP for OBW much less anyone else. Even with Daken tanking for OBW all the strike tiles being generated just overwhelmed everyone.
Bah.
Have to cool my heels for a few hours now.0 -

It just seems to be insult to injury for those that missed out on winning him. Keep rewarding those already doing well enough to have come top 150 last time.
Presumably to get people to panic and buy event token packs (one of their larger revenue sources supposedly) in the hopes of getting one.0 -
BrandonE wrote:I'm just a 2* player with a bunch of unusable 3* right now, but Ares/2Daken/OBW is my go-to team when I can pick all three, and two of those are boosted, with regenerating 2Daken tanking for squishy OBW. The only non-active is black, and you can choose between 2Daken or OBW for blue, depending on the situation. Plus, an anti-grav just before a Sunder results in true-healing for Ares, since you only expend your "health boost" on the Sunder. Full of win.
I have 4 3*s at a good level Hulk, Torch, Magneto, and Psylocke at 153 and Hood at 127. Hood is built 2/5/3, though, so his stealing is at max, which is defintely his best ability. Unfortunately, I don't have 2* Daken at all - I never leveled him so he's drifted in and out of my roster twice. I do have 3* Daken with 10 covers (3/5/2) at 89 - probably no good for this since he's not boosted. >sigh< someday I'll get the little bastard up there. Thanks for the thought, though.locked wrote:Muscles are incredibly tough but Hood works well against all Maggia goons. Indeed, Ares/Hood/oBW wreck in PvE. Try Hood/cStorm/MMN as well. Against Maggia, target the off-colours first; green for Ares/cStorm, purple for MMN/oBW, maybe black for Intimidation. Red is the least wanted colour but might work too. Both Ares and MMN can benefit from Intimidation. Let Hood steal yellow/blue in large quantities from the goons. Wind Storm or Onslaught/Sunder everything into submission. Don't forget good TUAPs especially for Hood/cStorm/MMN since the latter team generates a LOT of AP.[/locked]
Yeah, Muscles are definitely powered above their level - once they get enough strike tiles off any attack becomes a losing proposition, and if they get off their own AoE it's basically over. I'll give it a shot with that team - the complication is I'm doing Hood/Cap/Hulk and Hood/Cap/Torch in PVP because that is a ton of fun.0 -
To sum this event up for me:
Boosted Daken don't give a ****.0 -
Any reason the easiest node in the main string is level 108? That's a bit weird.
I wiped on the second node, too. Threaten after Threaten after Threaten. Filled every blue node up with 460+ attack tiles and there were enough to make that hurt, but few enough that I couldn't match any of them. One tommy gun killed one character outright and knocked two down to half health.
Patch died with the last remaining thug with 170 HP.0 -
Which version of Daken is better for this event and by how much?0

Level 134: 5/5/3 - strike tiles are 65, chemical reaction does 725 + 416 per strike0 -

Goon only nodes are generally very high level to make up for the fact that they can't make a move. Sometimes this ends up being way harder than an equivalent difficulty villian node especially if you got heavyweights like Muscles and you don't have someone who can deal with CDs.0 -

He already seems moot. Level 166 5/5/3 LDaken 2 strike tiles at 46 each and chemical reaction does 730 + 420 per strike wrapped up in 6800 health. Should have sold this worthless 2* when he was worth 450 coins.0 -
I...Don't know what to do on this one. Join early to grind for the , or try to crash in at the end for , , & ?
One thing for sure: it's one or the other. No to keep up after jumping in, because tinykitty essential nodes...0 -

The 3 loses out on strike tile damage, chemical reaction base damage (and bonus) and I should imagine has less health and regen too. Original is still the best here if you've got it unless your Laken is significantly higher levelled.0 -

You have it the other way around. Grinding is what gets you placement rewards, if you're interested in Spidey. Progression rewards can be nailed with judicious abuse of rubberbanding.0 -

5520 health. 78/69/61/13/12/110 -
Definitely need some more Doctorpus covers - two greens in the essential nodes just don't cut it, even before scaling kicks in.0

That 2 Muscle + 1 Punisher node is deceptively difficult. I hate any event that features a whole bunch of muscles, it's just a mind numbingly annoying experience.0

There's nothing deceptive about how strong Muscles are. If they're a playable character, they'd easily be in the top 3* tier just by themselves before considering any kind of crazy combo you can pull with their strike tiles with value that seems to have one too many digit.0 -
Going to be leaning on mHawkeye again in this event, no boost or synergy with Thor, but he's still my fastest way of downing muscle and don with 10k health.0

If they were a playable character, they'd make Sentry look like Yelena. Muscle + MNMags = everybody dead.0
