So angry. I got Storm down to 2800 health in Sim 34, had a fully charged Adamantium Slash ready to put her away, and Iron Man was primed to fully recharge my Red and give Wolverine another Adamntium Slash to hit Sentry square in the face.

Then Storm OHKOed my entire team with a Wind Storm before I could Slash her. Sonuva.

Lol. Everyone is clearly killing themselves on the final nodes of this, so what happened is that until the 8 hour mark I was getting attacked every 5 minutes in Real Steel, and at 7:59 clearly every person in the entire game shielded up. That event is now a desert.

So even if I COULD finish Heroes, I won't be able to complete it to collect the final reward because I don't have Panther?!

So **** glad I didn't use any Health Packs for any of this.

I'm done; not because I can't go further, but because someone decided it would be sweet to require the Essential character be the same as the Reward character.

Loved the event. Not so much anymore.

Give the 3* roster players more chances to build their roster and keep the transitioning players out.

I guess I'm missing something that a lot of other people see. To me this PvE is a waste of time. The rewards are a joke and unless you've been playing for a long time and have a lot of characters you will get shut down rather quickly. Not to mention the genius who made it impossible to get the BP cover in the hero gauntlet unless you already had a BP cover. So the point is to see how far you can go? and if you cant get very far, spend money for more covers? I don't know maybe I'm just frustrated because I don't have a bunch uber covers like a lot of the long time people here. At least in the other PvE I had a chance to get something decent from the progression rewards, with this PvE I just feel like a newb.

Yes they didn't get it EXACTLY PERFECT the FIRST TIME they ever did an event, how dare they.

I'm still lost at the the "needing Black Panther to get a Black Panther cover." Isn't Punisher the one essential or is there an essential node that requires him?

There are 6 essential nodes in Heroes. 4 require Punisher, Essential 11 requires Grey Suit, and Essential 12 requires Black Panther.

There are GSBW and BP essential nodes as well, not only Punisher.

Punisher is needed for the Storm Cover.

Heroes Sub needs GSBW, Punisher, Black Panther.

The Essentials shouldn't be considered for the Cover Progression Reward. I can see how frustrating that can be.

A Solution would be to award the Cover upon finishing the Sub and doing the Essentials unlocks Iso,HP and maybe Event Covers.

Ah, I see it now. Just opened the GSBW node in Heroes. Was focused on completing the main nodes in the finale before I went on to the essentials in heroes and finale.

Wow, calm down dude. I didn't realize I wasn't allowed to have an opinion. Also, I think you meant to say, "the first time they did THIS event" because it's not their first event.

Admittedly, I'm kind of (okay, kind of really, because I didn't see earlier posts about Essentials needing BP) upset at this because I thought I'd get a good chance to EARN a cover or two to help my transition. I didn't see the Essentials until I hit them in Heroic after fighting past the previous Hard nodes.

I have GSBW (not too usable with only 2 covers but it would have allowed me a chance) and Punisher, but no BP.

Just really disappointed right now becayse I saw Gauntlet as a way to EARN my way to my rewards but it seems like the devs seriously want 2* players to STAY 2* players. I didn't need Storm. My tokens were **** - all of them (as per usual). I literally got some ISO to show and that's it.

I'm glad I placed very well previous event to snag Punisher covers (and I actually like him) because I doubt anything like that will happen again for a while given that people were specifically taking a break in that event.

I am somewhere between ashamed and proud of how I cheesed my way to victory.

Level 42 - My Team was Punisher, somewhere near max but not quite there, Lazy Cap at around level 60 and MN Magneto around 90. Boost +3 all, +3 blue/purple. Opponents in the 350+ weight division.

I think my highest source of damage to the enemy was World rupture. I'm not sure if Sacrifice or Molitov Cocktail came second. Keeping OBW stunned so she can't steal my blues and purples and trying to deny X-force black were the rules of the game.

After running Patch/Hood/Panther for any node I could, I found myself relying on MN magneto and cap for some of the toughest nodes where patience wasn't an option.

I like the idea of this event, really enjoy not grinding versus others. And even the rewards are fine, I can use 2 of the 3 *** covers.

That said, the scaling is still an issue. I only have 2 characters over 110 (Punisher & Hulk), and I'm against 200+ consistently. This doesn't make a huge deal of sense, since roster depth is more important than one good character. For this event, it isn't a huge deal because boosted Punisher is still about 250+. But the match against Punisher/C. Storm/Sentry? Yeah, can't use him on that one, but it's still scaled like I can. I get a feeling this will be a serious issue if this is ran again w/o Punisher being boosted, and I'm expected to plow through a bunch of level 200s without anyone who can match up. I get that D3 wants everyone to level characters evenly (since that requires spending more ISO), but doing it through some invisible, hidden punishment isn't the correct way to do it.

Edit: Advanced further, and yeah, this event is literally impossible. Every single fight is level 250+, and one bad cascade wipes anyone but Punisher. I'd be fine if I had 3 characters in the 150 range, but it's one guy at 250 and everyone else at <100. Not sure how someone like me (i.e. the person who can actually use the rewards) is supposed to win with the scaling this stacked.

So it seems like the general consensus is that people really like the event, and like the idea of it all, but disagree with the level of difficulty and the reward structure.

Just finished everything by the slimmest of margins (i.e. one character down and one with 300 life at the end). My only question is - what do the rankings mean for each level? Is it just whoever got the highest progression in the fastest time?

BTW, enjoyed the event. Yes, it drove me nuts at 34 and 42 (Sentry beat me like a drum); but in the end it was more relaxing than the two hour got to grind for me and the team type of activity. But then again, I'm weird - I like balance of power and combined arms.

I had just about given up on MPQ but this event has been fun. Even though I don't need most of the prizes I am still working through the levels trying out different character combinations and enjoying it. Who would have thought that MPQ could be enjoyable again? It is like a grown up version of the prologue. Well done!
