So this scaling is getting pretty insane...Is there ANY thing I can do to lower the scaling? Losing with a dud team? Or do I have to bring my A-Team to pretty much everything in the Finale?

I don't understand the question. Were you expecting to come by with your B-team?
As for your question the Scaling is determined by your roster when you joined.

All i know about this event is that I have a new found respect for how powerful MMags-CStorm really is. Chewing up level 240-250 opponents and spitting them out. (Although my 5/3/4 184 Punisher is helping)
  • My X-Force is just 166. (My highest character is Fury at 190.) My X-Force was 355 at the time of the nerf and is now just 454, so he is not that helpful in this PVP.

There must be a threshold for the 4* before additional scaling kicks in because my nodes are 395X3 on that one. Or there's some other way your enemy can be higher. I don't mind a challenge but I really hate it when you've no idea why your nodes are especially hard compared to other people's, because I'm pretty sure the guys beating it with 2* roster didn't have to face guys that can instant kill you with any move because 2* don't have the firepower to beat that kind of stuff at all.

About a minute into the battle...

Tired of getting beat up on by The Punisher and Magneto and tired of getting all the leftover AP, The Hood decided to Intimidate so he could return some of the smackdown that he was receiving (note: there was no CD tile - ****?).

Unfortunately, what he didn't know was that lurking behind the two hulking men was the Mistress of the Elements herself named Storm. Storm, being a right and proper lady, took offense to the assault on her teammates and let fly with a Raging Tempest.

Cursing his luck, The Hood limped away before he took further damage; at the rate things were going, he'd need a coffin and soon!

Sentry was up next and he wanted a chance - surely he could give them the smackdown that they deserved and if he couldn't do it, then there was Daken to back him. After all, both he and Daken were stronger than The Hood was, right? Laughing as he crackled with power, he decided to go all out. First, he let loose with World Rupture and within another move, let fly with Sacrifice and then topped it with Supernova.

Surely, the other team wouldn't know what hit them... right?

With the taste of victory in his mouth, Sentry watched and gloated as the trio across from him bore the brunt of his cosmic wrath.

Already injured, Magneto keeled and The Punisher - standing in the front line as he had done previously - needed a hospital and badly. How Storm managed to survive was anyone's guess, but she was even worse off than The Punisher.

Surely, thought Sentry to himself as he continued to gloat, Victory in the form of his multitude of World Rupture tiles was imminent.

But then the most astonishing thing happened and it happened so quickly that he couldn't even be sure WHAT, exactly, happened.

Storm - the grievously injured Mistress of the Elements - picked herself back up and with her eyes glowing, summoned THE Raging Tempest of Raging Tempests - a kamikaze no-holds-barred tropical storm that ripped across the battlefield in near-indiscriminate violence as it thirstily fed from its Mistress' anger and fury.

Impossible, was Sentry's last thought to himself before his and Daken's world went dark. Impossible!!!

No, I'm not going back to that node again.

Have you replayed any nodes in any of the Gauntlets? I haven't. Also, I've been wiping out a lot and even the nodes that I've been winning have often been with one character down and others barely standing. That may be keeping my scaling near some type of floor, a threshhold based on my roster and community scaling, but not increasing because I'm speeding through the nodes with ease.

Haven't replayed any node though I did beat every node in the first two brackets. So far it seems like scaling goes up for completing missions but since they're all one way except the essentials nobody should have an advantage or disadvantage there. In the first bracket (villians) my nodes were about 20-30 levels higher compared to the typical guy with 5-10 166 3*s and the gap has gotten bigger, though since they can't go above 395 I guess the gap gets smaller at the end too. Had plenty of dying in these missions since you don't even have to try very hard to end up taking a ton of damage. I just got my last 50 HP reward for the finale bracket and don't plan on touching the bracket again.

It turns out there's some interesting stuff to try. I won the last node in the finale thanks to Coercive Field (use it to stop World Rupture) but at 3 health packs for try, it's not exactly something you can afford to be too creative either.
  • Stuck on number 37 here. Level 285 2* wolvie, muscle, and BP.

BP just gets fed yellow and I get melted before I even have a chance to do anything.
  • Just unlocked Finale. Beating Heroes was tough enough, now I am getting murdered by the very first battle in Finale.

Love this event. At least I got a Black Panther cover to show for it.

I was hoping I could use other teams besides Punisher, Black Panther, & Grey Suit Black Widow. The Goon only nodes L.Cap and Hood (unleveled but stealing Blue & Purple) at least can back up GSBW, but most nodes with real characters chew through Human Torch, Patch, and any of my other partially leveled characters with little more than 1 of 3 characters taken down to show for my effort.
  • Ok, any advice for dealing with Simulation 37? Level 272 Wolvie, BP and Muscle are eating my teams for breakfast. And Patch + BP are my only maxed 3*s. Next best is 150 Punisher, which is all well and good but he can't carry by himself.

GSBW is L137, but even boosted her Sniper Rifle takes too long to set up and does little damage compared to the foes in question. cStorm dies too quickly. Level 132 Hood is very squishy support without BP shielding him. Conventional Sentry bomb is out because he only has 2 in yellow, and LDaken only 1 in Purple.

Edit: Just got lucky with Hood / Punisher / cStorm. Punisher even had 71HP left at the end >_<

Edit 2: Simulation 39: L299 Deadpool, Ares, OBW. So I can use my star Patch + BP + Hood, once I get a couple more healthpacks. But I don't really see myself winning without a really major help from cascade fairy. The alternative is to farm a BR team up to use with Sentry, or WR team up to use with Patch, and hope that's enough.

Thing is I need 2 more nodes for the 50HP reward, since my first Colossus token expires in 4 days and I need to scrounge up 150HP for a new slot.

Note to devs: Thor really does not need to be fed AP by goons. Really, he doesn't. He does just fine without it.
Wait til you get to Fury being fed purple by two goons. I had him hitting me with Escape plan for 3800 every 2 to 3 turns (and that was not counting the strike tiles that they created). icon_lol.gif

Does anyone have tips for Sim 35? This keeps happening and I can't figure out how to prevent it.
Psylocke cover is not worth the stress trying to complete Finale but I would like to do one more node for a Heroic token.
I boosted gold bagman/cstorm/mn mags to try to keep fury stunned, but he still got one off that killed my cstorm. Had to kill the 2 goons with stunlocks and match damage alone.

Helps to bring some MBW stun TUs too
  • Hmm, does anyone know if repeating nodes has any effect on scaling? I've been using early Villains nodes to heal Patch and the Dakens....

Staring down 277 Sentry, X-Force, and Obw... What do?
I'm guessing I'm gonna need to drop XForce or OBW early since Sentry is looking to be the lesser of two evils outside his red. I may have to use the strat I went with during Juggs node and just Spider-Man this one.

Thank your lucky gods that your not starting down a 362 Sentry, X-Force, and Obw? I am either going to need a LOT of luck or lots of boosts to do this one.

Oh man. I'm at Finale and at crossroads of Essential 13 and Sim 36. I opted to complete Essential 13 node first and when i did i noticed Sim 36 went up by 10 levels!!! ( I had checked the levels before starting Ess 13)

At this rate i'll be happy to get GSBW to complete green. Not sure if i shld try pushing for Psylocke. My heart may not take it...

My go-to team right now is 4/0/1 Punisher/cStorm/MnMags and back ups of Wolvie, tiny Thor and OBW if either one of my main char is locked out.

Edit: oh and the occasional ap or critical boosts. Mnmags does mean damage with 75% critical boosts before Wind Storm-ing the enemy team

Yeah, I'm totally thanking that I made a good decision to level everyone evenly. None is that shoot one guy to 166 as early as possible stuff. Looks to cause more problems than not for most.

I'm at the last node too. Lvl 383 (Hey at least its not max level) X-Force/Sentry/OBW. Any tips from someone who has beaten this node in high level? I can't use my go-to X-Force/Magneto or Sentry cheese and nothing else seem to have enough firepower to challenge these.

Beee vs 385s used punisher c.marv hood. stunned with c.marv and drained ap with hood leading to twin pistols for more AP to do stuff.

BubBLeB0y1977 vs 395s 355.hood SR.Cap 551.IM40. boost 3xRY. Target OBW first, cast recharge asap, start cycling shields. Try to save intimidate for when you have recharge out, and shields to maximize countdown effect. Target XF second. You can encourage sentry to cast sacrifice, just save a shield to overwrite it.
