    This is from the bracket I joined with less than 12 hrs left in PvP. Was planning to skip it honestly. Still managed to get the XForce cover at 1300. Really enjoying being able to put up these numbers without a maxed 166 character yet.

    I shielded up at 45 ever so slightly more than three hours before closing, went to sleep figuring it probably wouldn't matter since my retailiations would be cleared before then anyway, and woke up to find that I'd been attacked...but won the fight! Sadly I fell out of the top 50 anyway, but hey, still a nice surprise.

    And I got a PvP alliance cover for the first time, so that ruled. Go Spider-Men!

    Then why the heck do I keep getting placed into these stupid brackets of 1300+ for the top 5 when I'm barely cracking 800!

    I would say your 166 BP, Cap, HT, Pun, and Patch are the reasons why. Could also be the times in which you join. If there's an already open bracket with high scorers.
