  • There are no more gamma bombs. Heroics only.
  • So sitting and waiting and not playing the game is a great strategy?
Using that logic deleting the app would put me in first place.
    I lol'd.

Yes, the rubber banding is out of control...it's literally better to not play until close to the end.

I'll be surprised if anyone doing that gets top 1500. Possibly even top 10k.
  • So yes, once again I've grinded every mission in the sub events, building myself up to at least the top 50 and now with one hour left I'm ranked #450. I've also dropped from around #500 in the main event to #1700 in the last few hours. What's so wrong with just making everyone earn the same points? Seems like simple logic, whoever plays and wins the most, gets the best rewards.

Side complaint, I've seen Punisher only missions go for as much as 2000 points. As someone who has yet to earn a Punisher, I call ****.

Oh and who's thought it was a good idea to end the main event at 5am eastern time...on a saturday...

There was a lot of misinformation about this event. To maximize points, you need to do 3 waves of all the missions in a map. The points for each missions replenish after exactly 8 hours, so in a 24 hour spawn you can do it 3 times.

There NO rubber banding at all in ANY of the mission. What people made believe there was is the display error of the mission points when do a first mission in a map.

Also, if you want to win at the end, after doing 3 full waves, do the last mission left at the very last minutes, because the people who finish last get ranked higher.
  • There was most definitely rubber banding.

I'm sorry but there isn't any at all. Not even in the main map.

Dude you have no idea what you're talking about. I've had missions be worth 2K. Upon FULL refresh, they were worth 1189 because I was ranked higher. There is absolutely rubber banding.

Then what determins the insane fluctuation in points?

There were missions worth 2k. But that's not rubber banding. It was a fixed value. If you wanted to rank high in this event, you had you do all 3 8 hour waves and you'd get the full amount of points, no matter what.
  • 3PM I am at #50 in the overall event. Levels in sub-mission worth 50 points. Dont touch them. Wait 10 hours. I am now at #2500 overall event. Levels in sub-missions now worth 800-2000 points.

    =

    Ruber banding

There was no flunctuations, people just got higher in ranks because they did more missions. Many people did 2 waves but didn't know they could do a third. Beside that, the value for each missions increased a bit after the first days, but those values were fixed and not based on rubber banding. Everyone got the same amount of points.
  • Not so sure about that. I've frequently checked certain missions (primarily the lvl 250 ones I have no chance of beat and the Punisher req missions I can't do) and they have most certainly changed point values throughout the day.
  • The point value change because as you get more points, the rubberband effect becomes smaller, and as the overall leader gains points, the rubberband effect becomes greater. Then there's also the fact that missions naturally recover some of their points if you did it before. E.g. you do something that's 200 points base a few times and it drops to 80, if you come back later it may have recovered some, or that during that time the overall leader got another 5K points so the rubberband effect makes that 80 point mission worth 120.

See I got the full amount of point after doing 3 full waves. It was really easy to do, just had to know that there were 3 waves you could do every 8 hours.

I think this was roughly how it worked on the first few days of the event. But once we reached the goal and the Hulk bomb got dropped, ruber banding went into overdrive. The highest ruber banding i've seen yet in this game

Do you have an exemple? A mission's point value?

    Microtom you are 100% wrong.

The lower your rank in the main event, the higher your point value in the sub-events. As you moved up in the main event, your mission values would drop in the sub-events, regardless of if you attempt them or not.

Well, what's your rank in the overall event? How many points for that?
Considering I am just shy of 50k points, getting that many points (for me) would shoot me up to well over 56k

--since your implying everyong can get max points since no rubber banding exists as long as we do all the mission refreshes
  • Ended up around 15th in main this time around. Point getting consistency pretty good so far, let's see how the home stretch goes.
