How the Hulk scoring system works ?

But I don't think I'll be able to place in the sub-events. I've been moving farther and farther in the sub-events each iteration. Last set I dropped from Gamma to Heroic. Probably drop to standard for this one.
Yeah, but at this point, those aren't the prize. Besides, there are no more gamma tokens in this round. I'm in the top 30 now, without touching Bolivia (ok, did one mission once) and not having depleted any stacks in Nevada, but don't see the point in doing any more missions for the few points.
Yeah that's true. I'm 6th or so I think, but I've depleted them a fair bit. Going to just hope there's some recharging and run through them once more right before the subs end.0 -
Is it known if the points will end like in the Hunts last day? E.g. won't refresh? Or does they at refresh now and end in the last 12h missions?0

Sometimes this get so confusing, can anyone explain like I was 5 how this whole point system works?
I love this game but it feels frustrating sometimes.
Like now, I am #604 in the global Hulk Event
1255 in Bolivia
1410 in Nevada
Impossible mission in Bolivia (Blood on your hands) gives me 118 and then lower and lower till I guess it will be 0.
In Nevada I have slighter higher points, around 200 on average.
Top Ranked have around 8000 points.
How am I going to even have a chance to get in the top 300 with points like these?? It really makes me want to just let go the tournament, it feels the prize is not worth the effort.0 -

The higher you are in the main bracket the lower you will be in the sub brackets due to rubber banding of the points. The people with 8000 points in sub events are probably below 10000th place in the main event thats why they score so high. If you're 600 in main now you have good chances for high main place. The last hours of the main event will be the critical ones.0 -
Short version: Points gradually increase in worth until they peak at 22:00 UTC daily. You can only do them a bunch of times before they reduce to 0. Recharges after 12 hours.
Basically, winners are determined by timezone, daily schedule and/or willingness to not sleep.0 -
I know it's been said before, but man this event ends at a sucky time for the US. Who do they think we are to treat us so badly? Europeans?0
-
I hope the endgame doesn't require that we collected all of the pieces. One of the "final missions" was too tough for me and I didn't beat it in time. Although, that'd be a good finale, right? A single mission (non-repeatable) with super-Hulk and a gamma bomb attack that just wipes the floor with everyone.0

Just want to know if there will be more sub events after these two , because the main event ends 12 hours later0

What the hell?!0 -

I'm not totally enamoured with the thought of getting up early on a Saturday morning (with a hangover, no doubt), but 10am has to be better than the early hours jaunt for you guys0 -
It ends at 5 AM for those of us on the East Coast.
At best I'll be up very late, but still asleep several hours before it ends.0 -

Was wondering about that myself considering I only have 2k at best.0 -

These are most likely people that just joined, so have massive rubberbanding.0 -
Those are probably all people that just started the event or are hopelessly far behind, and that's the best possible score with max multiplier.0

I'm probably in the same boat. I'm way more likely to stay up late (maybe 3am?) than get up early for it. So, I'll miss the end by a couple hours. Hope it doesn't cost me a top 1500 slot. (Was hoping for a top 300, but this seems more unlikely now).0

That's the most likely scenario.
I agree that is the most likely scenario but the fact that Blue Rogue seems to have somehow gamed the system worries me that if he/she has figured out a point hack you would try it out first in a sub-mission before firing it off in the overall mission. I haven't seen that many ties with that many points in any sub-mission so farthough The Hunt or The Hulk. It worries me a tiny bit not a tinyktty bit just a tiny bit.0 -
Is the consensus that there will be more rounds before the end of the event? There's the 12 hour gap, and I need a little over 3.5k to hit the Punisher reward....0

If there's no rubberbanding there's a fixed total possible of points from a given sub-bracket. On the first day you see a ton of people tied at 230 or something. That's the max points that bracket will give. So someone who is hopelessly behind (wihch is not applicable at day 1) could get X10 mod on every mission for a 2300, and that's why you've all these guys tied at the exact same score.
It's really not feasible to try for top 4 unless you start out hopelessly behind the overall leader. It's more important to figure out how to stay in top 800/600 so you still get the heroic token rather than hoping you'll somehow get the tokenX2 prize.
Note that the time you start doing the missions do not matter if the overall leader does not change. I'm guessing there are at most 1000 points left for the overall bracket leader to gain at this point so the rubberband modifier is not going to increase by much, at least not until whatever the last set of mission is.0 -

The system is clearly set up that suppose you're so strong that you select 'fight' and the enemies simply roll over and die and you just keep on click 'fight' until there is nothing left to fight, you'd always be #1 (unless there are guys doing exactly the same thing), so there's nothing to 'game' here. If your characters are strong enough to simply win every PvE match you'll always be at the top. The rubberband system isn't there to help you surpass the guy who wins every PvE encounter the moment they're available. It's there to make sure you can come close to a guy who can grind infinitely well. I'm pretty sure the familiar guys at the top simply just do every PvE mission whenever they become available. Now maybe there's something fishy for being able to beat those level 245X3 guys so reliably but it's hardly impossible. Again, if you simply grinded every mission the moment they're available, you'd still be on the top of the ranking and no trick is needed at all.0
