Pulled a second Fury last night. I've averaged 3 tokens per pair of brackets, so that is quite ahead of the probability curve. Hang in there anyone else waiting, it can still happen.0

Speaking of I quit threads I not played a single node since they swapped over to 5am finishes - so 3 and a half subs so far - and I only dropped from top 10 to just outside the top 100. I will do a few nodes in the next couple as it looks like the guild might drop out of top 50 but I was thinking I would have dropped more being totally inactive.
I think the change from Dark Avengers who sucked to real Dark Avengers stopped some people. I have moved from 16th to 8th since the Russia sub without access to the Fury essentials0 -

Also resigned myself to finishing 3rd. 3-8k behind at any given moment, with the two leaders showing no signs of stopping. Unless Ghast wants to start an 'I quit' thread in the next 36 hrs or so that is.
I like that place on the sun.0 -

Didn't know if you posted also. You can feel free to quit at any time also.0 -
Got 6 tokens from last subs and was top 2 or top 10 in every other sub... and still no fury :<
Oh well... at least I'm 10k in front of #2 and 20k in front of #3 so going to get that yellow anyway0 -
Does this event have main nodes or is it just another 2 subs for the last 24 hours?0

Just more subs. (unless something strange has changed).0 -
Okay there is NO WAY the computer's Rags work like mine. I don't get multiple crits every Godlike. I know RNG and stuff but it REALLY REALLY doesn't feel random at all.0

You don't get a guy feeding you 2 or more green AP every turn either. Godlike Power is capable of very strong cascades but you normally don't get as many chances at trying as the AI does.0 -
Funny how quickly things change. Couple of days ago I was punching the air when my tokens gave me 2* Magneto. This morning I got one from event token and one from standard token, and couldn't have been more disappointed.0

welp some may feel this is a kick in the face with their luck, but after having no fury luck for the first 15 tokens. I began saving them up and decided to pull all my 14 ISO this morning. Lady Luck finally came thru as I pulled Loki, Ironman 40 and a fury blue cover. Which means as long as I maintain my top 2 position in the current PvE (20k up on 3rd place) I'll be able to complete my 3 colors.0

It's official, 0 for 18 on Fury tokens, now I have to grind all day to hold on to top10, since everybody chasing me has access to the Fury nodes. Did pull my 3rd She-Hulk from these tokens, she must have been secretly featured.0

Good for you! I'm at the point where even if I did suddenly get a Fury token I'd never make up the 14,000 points separating me from second place, so I'll just keep up the grind and be happy with top 10. (Going 2-for-4 on tokens last night takes some of the edge off that result, I'll gladly admit) I've got about a 7,000-point buffer there, so even without him I should be good.0 -

Hey, someone has to have some luck, good job!
Just 3,500 away from Torch now. Hurry up and refill nodes, I want him now!0 -
I've given up in this PVP. After days of grinding, there was just no way to catch up to the top-2 in my bracket. Every time, I got within a few hundred points or actually got into second, I would go away for an hour and find myself a few thousand points behind again. I suspect they just don't sleep. So congrats to Kipicakes and Spiderhunter on their Furys. I'm 22,000 ahead of 10th place so there is no reason to play any more.
It does seem ridiculous to me that only .2% of the players get the 4-star reward in PVE for events that last so many days.0 -

I don't think PvP and PvE are on even ground in terms of risk versus reward because PvP always requires a significant commitment of HP upfront whereas PvE do not. It probably takes less overall effort to get a 4* via PvP but the HP commitment isn't something everyone is willing to put in. There's also relatively higher stress in the timing of shield hopping and whatnot, whereas even in the 'a sub every 12H' version of The Hulk, if you understand how the rubberbanding goes there's really not that much stress. It's pretty much like 'oh I went to sleep and that guy did not, so I lost'. Yes that totally sucks but you wouldn't need to stress over it because you can't really do anything about it (unless you don't sleep either) so there's no point to worry over spoiled milk. Compared to this, in PvP you can't know whether you can get one more win safely or whether someone is going to sneak up on you without constantly checking, so there's more to worry about.0 -

reckless442 wrote:Unfortunately, with the new system of 2.5 hr refreshes and no rubberbanding in the main bracket, it's not that easy. I grinded the last 1.5 to 2 hours of every sub and did regular clears during the subs. It is not clear how rubber-banding now works, whether it is off some global sub leader or individual bracket sub leaders. If the latter, rubber-banding only will help you in main if you're in a bracket with a grinders who are driving the sub scores very high. If the former, I'm not sure how I am so far behind the leaders. I was dead even with second at the end of the sub before last, but was several thousand points behind at the end of the last sub, despite grinding down every node below 100 points. That suggests that not all subs are even.
It's off the overall leader but the rubberband is weak enough that missing a cycle usually cannot be made up at all. Once you realize this there's nothing more to stress about because it either happens or it does not. I was in a virtual tie with first place and then after I had two days where my schedule was bad and fell 10K behind and was never in position to threaten #1 again. Does this suck? Sure, but once it happened it's just something you got to live with. This isn't like PvP where the outcome is always in flux and you never know if when bad luck will hit you. If I had one more day of bad schedule I'd probably have dropped out of #2, and no doubt that'd be depressive but since I can't do anything about it, there's really nothing to dwell on. This isn't like PvP if you got hit for 200 points you can say 'maybe I shouldn't have been so greedy' or that you see a guy shot up by 100 points and wonder how is that even possible. In PvE you can see your rise/fall very clearly, and if you're stuck with 2 guys who don't need to sleep then it's over before it even begun so no need to worry about it.0 -
Hoping to hang in the top 100. And at this point it seems somewhat feasible. Without a Fury it was better then I was hoping for. The nodes for these last two subs aren't too bad with my cmags, psylocke, and HT so I'll keep grinding away and crossing my fingers for a Red cover to add to my sad little 3-1-1 Patch.0

I thought missing 2 full sets of subs for vacation wo u like bury me further than where I'd be viable for a yellow cover, but looks like I can get one, so that's kinda cool. It'll make my 2/1/0 patch suck a little less if he's ever buffed again... like maybe during the next pve. Patch+tinydaken? Maybe. My 1/1/1 L.daken won't help for that classic pairing.0
