Because you're climbing people might skip the retaliation seeing that you've got real weapons on the field and you'll definitely be worth less points than other targets. Meaning you're accumulating and dodging attacks right through the final push. A faux tank as a slingshot into Top 2 would be sweet.

    No real reason to try it other than it would be fun. Once I get a Rags maxed I might as a lark.

    Maybe for a real tournament (if they ever run one where you actually want 1st). Otherwise, once you start getting up there, the matchmaking occasionally pops up with your competitors anyway.

    I accidentally did it a couple weeks ago. Got to 300 in a rags round and put in a low level spidey to heal up, plus daken. Accidentally used level 15 default, retreated. Got mad and stopped for twenty minutes, then rode retaliations to a top 2 finish once i had calmed down.

    Matchmaking sucks for me, always matched against the same 5-6 players in a round giving me 15-16 points, then I get hit for -30 from the same player over and over again icon_e_sad.gif
    Hard to get more than 250 points.

    Man there is no one competing in this Doom round. Hardly got any attacks on my bag man. Only one score above 500. This would have been wide open for some newer players to grab a couple of covers.

    I'm just trying to get a Diabolical in this one. And hopefully not another Doom(it's gonna be blue Doom).

    Didn't even see him. Ended w/ 650 pts, about 75 pts ahead of #2 and nearly 150 ahead of #3.

    Done with Doom now. Just Loki, Hood, and Mags still need covers.

    you guys are good.
    Being trying my best to work my **** on lighting rounds but just couldn't get through any of the required covers for DD / Rag. (no luck in blue and red for)
    Feel v. unlucky with these characters..once I had a chance to get Red Rag, i got 3 phone calls in a 3 rounds that cost me points... icon_evil.gif

    DD, manage to get all black yet i still can't get a single blue at all. trying my best to get him. but it's seem that his blue is forever out of my reach. Just hope that's a DD round that give blue covers to top 25 players. icon_rolleyes.gif

    No ways for me to really hit into top 100 at all... icon_mad.gif

    Yeah, my bagman is being hit a lot less than usual. Hopefully this downswing persists through the mag round in a few hours. Only need 1 more red

    Dunno why -- I was #1 for the last 45 minutes or so. Didn't get attacked a single time -- L50 Doom, L115 Rag, and L101 Mag are effective against people wanting to get points off me.

    You say this.. But any new player won't have red rag, hell I don't even have one, but I have 4 green (useless). Basically without at least level 80 rag or a lot of crystal for boosts, no one can get any points in the lightning rounds. That cover is a complete joke and will probably cause me to quit the game. Nothing should be so powerful, so many hit points, so much damage, and complete board control. Pretty much the definition of OP.

    Before you quit at least give the devs a couple weeks to see what they got up their sleeves. A little optimism goes a long way.

    Don't know about the Doom round (tanked it tryin to set myself up for Loki) but competition in the Loki round was pretty stiff. I got to #13 with about 5-6 mins to go, was attacked twice and busted down to #16. At that point I figured a diabolical token with a chance of another villain was better than a single purple Loki, yielded twice and dropped to #26 in the last minute so there was definitely a good few making a fist of that round.
    And I was wrong, I need every single villain cover going still so anything wudda been better than purple Loki, right? It gave me black Loki, the only possible cover available worse than purple Loki. Well-played PQ, well-played.

    Who in the world said anything about Ragnarok? If you are seeing high-level Ragnaroks you can tank your matchmaking rating.

    rell1988, I want your secrets on how you're able to beat a boosted rag and mid-range mag with the free mag, a level 11 jugg, and 24 IM35

    This last mag round was pretty close, a ton of 90+ rags. I hope someguy's last minute -20 attack didn't push me out of the top 2, my last minute fight for 5 didn't go through

    I was having a retaliation war at the end with someone who had a 65 thor, a 15 mag and a 15 rag. I was using 70 mag 70 doom 84 (cuz I am.cool.like dat) thor. He was killing as fast as i was somehow and inwas burning through boosts every match for speed. I have no idea how he kept up for so long. Maybe there was a bug with his defense? I don't know...but he was killing way too fast for that team I think. Or maybe my team was something weak AMD I didn't realize? Lol...

    Got top 25 with a "life" break in between. Wanted top 8 but beggars can't be chooser. Now I get to finally eat my Chinese food. Probably cold by now :/
