    my bracket is VERY different from my last pvp where my 1300 points was good enough for....5th, nice break cause i'm at 1260 and 1st and me and 2nd place have 300+ points on 3rd.

    I'm shielded at 914 and hoping it's good for top 25 (I'm #10 right now). I"m just accepting that top 5 isn't going to be worth the effort, especially since it's not worth the effort simply to stay up until 1:00 am. I have my limits. I will break shields if it starts to look like top 25 is unrealistic. I don't seem to have gotten a totally psychotic bracket like some of you - I think top 5 is around 1100 right now - but there are limits to how much HP I'm willing to sink into this.

    I'm pretty sure there are at least three T5 = 1450+ brackets now: ESG's, stephen's, and yours.

    My alliance-mate Morak and I are in a bracket where top 5 is all over 1300. Tenth is at 1033.

    It's just a video game. For some maybe it's an addiction and it affects their family life or they're using credit cards or piling up debt to play the game. In that case sure it's unhealthy and it's unfortunate but you must realize that the amount that some people spend is a drop in the bucket even if it's an amount that others consider substantial.

    I don't know what the average "high scorer" spends on the game but even if it's $200/month we all know people who spend that every weekend on bottle service or spend $300/month on cigarettes or whatever else. I never will understand why people care. I'm fairly confident there's about 100,000 video games out there where you can compete with everyone else with just one initial purchase.

    Personally I've never had more fun in this game than I did in the PvP today. Not to mention I think at least 1000 of you got in line to take a whack at the various 50 pt pinatas out there today icon_e_smile.gif

    For the record, I'm not judging, I just don't relate. I'm happy to get maximum value on each unshield by hitting juicy targets. I bet if the bracketing were more like Season 2-3 everyone would be happier with the uber shielders. It's when people get jammed in with 5 or more people who choose to do it that things get dicey.

    Edit: Gonna have to use 4 shields this pvp. A total of 375HP. So much for Making a profit each pvp. Stupid Deadpool......i love u so.

    I got slapped for being greedy though so I lost all the points I gained and then some.

    So oddly enough, the scoring for my bracket isn't that bad. What made no sense however was how hard people was climbing yesterday and how much I was getting smacked. I stopped like 1 fight before 700 yesterday and I logged back in to see myself at below 400. That was fun and I made my climb back to top 25 with no problem at all. I'm less than 100 points from top 10 right now but I think I'm just gonna take a squat right where I'm at.

    Does anbody know what the hard line for the top 100 is?
    I'm considering shielding at 700 points and going to sleep since its apparently ending at 7am.

    I must say it is quite irritating to be hit for 35 Points when I am only gaining 21 per match. Especially when my 2 Stars are getting hit by 3 Star teams.

    It's obviously going to depend on bracket, but I'd be very surprised if you miss out with 700.

    Despite being in a bracket where #1-10 range is currently 1695-1207 it hasn't been too crazy of a climb. I left a sentry/daken on defense at 700 and was only attacked twice overnight, one being a defensive win. Shielded in 20th now, watching and waiting patiently for my attacker to climb....I got my eye on you Brothanoomsy.

    It's obviously going to depend on bracket, but I'd be very surprised if you miss out with 700.
    Top 25 on the other hand.....last pvp I was just barely 25th with 1k

    So, I've got 1100 points, which is barely enough for top 5, and I decide to shield hop to build up some points buffer. I'm running maxed Sentry and Daken, boosted all the way. Found a CMags/Patch fight, so not much health to go through.

    Turn one, I get a match 5 green, and cast World Rupture. I match yellow to end my turn. AI turn, no problem. I cast Sacrifice. One turn to victory.

    The AI cascades into a match 5 blue, casts Magnetic Field, and matches the strike tile away. World Rupture does 1 damage. Somehow the AI has 9 yellow now. Mistress of the Elements => Team Up Supernova. The cascade gives the AI enough green to Berserker Rage me into oblivion. I lose. Now in 6th.

    TLDR: I cast World Rupture on turn 1 and lost. There are no guarantees in this game.

    Okay, I'm now shielded in fourth place with 1447 points. I am hopefully done for this event, but with players from 5D, X-Men, and S.H.I.E.L.D in 5th -7th I'm not taking it for granted.
