A small UI suggestion for the PC Version... since I always have to check what Team Up powers my opponent has it would be nice to have the TU tab selected by default in the opposing character power grid instead of one of the heroes.0

I wonder if after all that risk/reward people were clamoring for this is what we got? The better your opponents are the better the team ups you get.0

Overall, I like the Team Up addition. It's actually already saved me in one match! I had no AP thieves, but I had Aggressive Recon Team Up!!! Life saved before Patch could get off his Berserker! As for the drops, I'm sure people are going to actually want to face those all 166 teams now because now there's actually a benefit to doing so! This means more balanced fights instead of those 166 people taking on lower ranking people, I hope anyways. But again, I'm liking the Team Up. It's not perfect yet and it's no fun getting one against you, but it's interesting and fun, to me. Some may hate it, but I like it. Can't wait for that delete button tho!! Hahahaha...some TU just cost too much and it takes forever to get 19AP, let alone 19 TUAP!!0

I know when you choose a TU cover, you are locked from choosing a TU character that is in your main team. However, I just went up against an AI team that had OBW as one of the main characters an then they also had Anti-Gravity Device as their TU cover too. I won the match, but that just does not seem right that you have to battle two of the same powers from one character from the AI. Maybe the person had two OBW build and that's why there was a TU cover in addition to the main character I fought.0

With environments, when IW, BP, BWGS, Spidey, Punisher, or Bagman were on a team, they got 4 points per environment tile. They've lost having anything special in that area.
Team-up icons do damage now. Maxed with 3 covers.

They changed healing so we don't spend time in prologue. And now I'm stuck with team ups I don't want unless I go to the prologue to get rid of them. Using the unwanted attacks in regular fights doesn't work because collecting the TUAP is a waste of time if the team up is weak or useless. Some of the useless ones having way to high costs doesn't make this any better (looking at moonstone's black).
Bottom line: As it is now, the feature unfortunately sucks. A delete option would make it better. Maybe not good because there are lots of other issues like the randomness on defense, but with a delete function it would at least be bearable.0 -

Looks like TU tiles inherited ENV tiles properties, which are
- no strike tile effect on dmg
- no protect tile effect on dmg
- when cascading, AP gain is less!!!!!

hmm... might be interesting to stockpile hood's black TU (if available). Then you could use sentry -> hood TU and run someone else besides hood. This is a bit slower since you can't boost team up tiles, but then you wouldn't necessarily need a 5 black hood.0

The more I play around with this feature the less I find it appealing. It has taken some of the main balancing elements of the game and just thrown them clear out the window. There was at least some sense that powers were supposed to be balanced based in part on their colors and which characters they were attached to. Having powers detached from those two things just makes them feel disconnected from how the game is supposed to function.
Recon, as an example, is normally manageable because you've got a fighting chance of killing OBW before she gets it off. Now put it on a team with LThor/Hulk/Sentry, where any one of them can use it. Good luck clearing that out without the AI getting to 8 or even 11 TU AP. And then the next battle the AI gets three duds and you can completely ignore it. It's so random and so contrary to what we've come to expect it just feels wrong. It's hard to plan a strategy when upon entering a battle your enemy could either be concealing a zip gun or a nuclear bomb. Finding ways to use them might be fun, but how they're currently used against us is very unsatisfying. Are the enemies going to start using boosts against us too?
Some people are sure to like it, I can hear the cries of "oh it's so new and exciting" already, but I don't care for it. It seems new for new's sake and not really all that well thought out. I'm not even going to get on the failures of the implementation again, some of which are sure to be fixed, but I'm just going to go ahead and leave this here again, because frankly it's comedy gold.Demiurge_Will wrote:Why no delete button for TU's?0 -
A few things that I think are absolutely necessary:
- Team Ups on defense need to not be completely random-- it's ridiculous to go up against a team of 2*s with Sentry or Nick Fury team ups.
- Team Ups should NOT be drops from enemies, because this just means that people end up drowning in Dark Avenger team-ups due to how prevalent those characters are in PvE events. Instead, you should get Team Ups based on which characters are on your own roster. (This would need tweaking so that people wouldn't feel encouraged to have tiny rosters to focus their team-up drops on a few characters.)
- Team Up strength should always be the max rank of the power, with the character level being the average of your own team, with the possible exception of powers that become worse in some ways at higher levels (IE Recharge and Aggressive Recon).

I've made a suggestion over at Suggestions.
If Player Team-Ups = 0, then AI Team-Ups = 0
If this simple fix was implemented, then people could scale the effect of Team-Ups to their own desired temperature.0 -
I hate it, because it's a model of a well thought out, polished, previously playtested extensively, interesting and easy to understand feature.0

I still think a "turn off Team Ups" option would be clearer and way more visible although a little harder to implement.0 -
That TUP delete button could not come fast enough. That said, using a boosted L150 Hypersonic Punch with a Marvless team in PVE is pretty nice.0
