I wonder why they couldn't implement it so that for every team up or boost that player uses for a battle the AI gets one random team up to compensate? Meaning if player doesn't use any boosting abilities for a battle at all he is guaranteed that AI will not have team up boosts. But if he uses all three slots for any boosts (team up, damage boost or AP boost) AI gets all three team ups.
Would be a good compromise IMO... Of course if no team ups are in play, team up tiles also become invalid for the battle. Bring back the hot dog stand for that situation, I say!0 -

Yep, now defense is going to be really really tough. Team ups is going to be great for new-mid players.

Agree that this is pointles for veterans - as a game mechanic it's like saying you will start a fight with a random health point loss. No real skill or strategy involved.
I can see they want newer players to use the more advanced powers to tempt them to transition to 3*. A simple fix is not make them available to the AI on defence - options for attack only just like boosts are. Then they would become mostly irrelevant for veterans.
And scrap the pop ups and let us discard them so they don't get in the way.
I wonder if they have a hidden agenda to replace boosts with team-ups - now that would make me mad0 -
They official make this game **** stupid ...I'm quitting for good reason it is unbelievable how wipe out my team with world rupture or supernova ...shame of you Devs you make players to quit instead play i can't believe how TU dont have option for selling ..this is shame for D30

Personally I think the TU idea is brilliant.
yes it can get a bit frustrating, I was using a AXM Wolverine and Bullseye combo one match and the AI pulled Loki's Trickery on me which screwed me over with about 5-6 protect and strike tiles on the board but then I was up against a 121 Lazy Thor and Punisher and was down to about 200 health when I got enough TU to use Rage of the Panther and win.
It'll be like this going forward and the knowledge that any fight isn't over until the very end I think will keep people playing.
Plus there's an added reward of beating the bigger teams now as you get a powerful TU boost to use in the future which could change a match in the future.0 -
This is the most stupid change ever made into a game. They ruined it. They spent months balancing characters to just throw everything away now.0

"Team-up hate thread" doesn't really need its own thread when the main TU discussion thread is pretty much serving the same purpose.

Wow, this is bad. I keep on getting hit by Wind Storm and Rage of the Panther with no way to prevent it. You can't stop the enemy from getting 12 team up points. You CAN'T stun, steal, or kill to avoid it. If they have it, your team will take 2000-3000 damage each and there's nothing you can do about it.
There's a complete lack of counterplay. There's no strategy involved. You just have to eat the damage.
I already lost my Patch Wolverine, Sentry, Hulk, Classic Magneto, Captain America, and Lazy Ramen in a half dozen matches.0 -
What should have been done is change the environment effects to the current team up tiles and have only one type of environment tile.
This Team-Up completely throw "balance" out of the edge of the multiverse. Pathetically executed. No testing what so ever before it's launch. This could probably be the result of a dev discussion after a 24-hour drink&drug session while no one is sober.0 -

but, is there a way to see which TU the other team are taking? and is there a limit to how many they will have, I got spanked for 5 in one round (only 2 where the same ability - All tied up)0 -
I demand D3P to reroll this TU debacle and relaunch it at a later time AFTER it's fully tested.0

The trouble is, this is like them giving the AI three random boosts automatically every match, whereas you have to burn one to get one. The net effect is the same as ratcheting up the AI. It's yet another in a long line of changes that makes tanking more essential with every update.0

You know what I suspect? D3P will be selling TU slots for HP LONG BEFORE the TU delete mechanism is implemented. I can imagine TU slots price will be the same as cover slots price.0
