Once again, once more, EU players got screwed

Uhmm... It actually did? By a lot?
I used to get stuck with lvl 240+ enemies with an average roster level of then-maxed 2*s at level 85.
Almost immediately after the spidey nerf, my PvE enemies' levels started flattening off at roughly lvl 120.0 -
god, I hate this so much. There absolutely no chance that I'm getting beast (other than through the alliance reward), since it will be impossible to place top 150 if you sleep the last 6h of the game....
I mean, I understand that the majority of the player base is from the US, but would it be too much to ask if at least once in a while a PVE ends at europe-friendly times? I can live with the end times in PVP (at least there I get one PVP per week with ok end times, and since they shifted the end times by an hour I actually might get a hit or two in after getting up on the other 2 pvps)0 -
Nice of IceIX to come on here, drop some info, answer a ton of questions but completely ignore the EU issue. Again. Not to mention my PM two weeks ago.
As ever, I'll be up at 1.30am and 4am to try to keep my top 10 (mostly top 2 place) that I've had for most of the last 2 days but only because I've already invested too much time in it. I'll still quit at the end of this season if the devs continue to ignore EU players.0 -
Phantron wrote:The timezone constraints might go down when Magneto is nerfed. I have been charting the points I've been getting and I've noticed that while nobody can touch the guys who grinded every 2H 24M for the duration of the event, if there's any variation from the optimal path the time where you can't play is relatively unimportant compared to the number of cycles you missed. That is, missing a cycle in the very beginning is only slightly better than missing the very last cycle (this assumes you did all the nodes mutiple times during the second to last cycle). From a health pack point of view, I don't think it'd be possible to never miss a cycle without Magneto involved because sometime it's getting awfully close even with him.
Increasing refresh time/reduce number of stacks would make it easier to not miss any cycles though you'll have a lot of virtual ties this way since Magneto can come close to not missing any cycle already so any reduction on the frequency of cycles will make it much easier and that could be problematic too. Of course it can be a very long time until Magneto is finally nerfed, so the suffering is likely to continue for quite a while too.
Mags is not featured in this heroic and end times/rb rubbish is the same as always....so that kinda destroys your theory0 -

Being Australian I was coming 1st last night when I went to bed, then get a score of 225, literally no point doing it. Event end for us is 2pm Tuesday, sorry I actually have a good job and can't stop work for 1 hour out of every three to do a clear.0

Same in Europe, basically....went to bed as arount 50th....ended up as as 298th.0 -
easy solution is have the finish time for events finish 4 hours later each event. Share the love.0

I ended up 3rd at a cost of a massive argument with my Mrs for waking her when my alarm went off and then keeping her awake due to the light from my phone.
Will be interesting to see if the new community manager here is as big an **** about this issue as all the other D3 / Demi guys have been so far.0 -

As soon as someone starts sleeping on a couch (disregarding the reason), the relationship/marriage starts to slip away... On the other hands everyone is his own lifes boss, so if he's willing to risk 'family' life for the game, then it's his own choice.
One way or another, it took pretty significant time for them to buff x-force since it was first mentioned on the forums, I expect it will take at least the same amount of time before they start working on more 'global' game in regards the timezone differences. Until then, I don't participate much in PVE and limit my grinding effort investment in PVP that finishes early in the morning for me...0 -

Because if I slept on the couch because of a mobile game I'd be signing divorce papers next month.0 -

Lol, about 20 seconds late getting the points I needed for 2nd. Can't grumble though, Baglady innit? Grats on top 2!JessyC01 wrote:This post is alarming. It sounds like you have bigger problems to worry about than coming 3rd place in a match-3 videogame.
Being a competitive gamer (for the last 20-30 years) IS my biggest problem and pleasure in equal measure. But from all the games I've played, this is the only one that forces me to play at stupid hours of the night to be competitive. Really the best solution for me is to quit MPQ and find something else that doesn't force me to be awake in the middle of the night to be competitive, but that's kinda the point of this thread...0 -
I have my six month old to thank for getting a Beast. Went to bed in 23rd, woke up with an hour to go in the 200s
Never again.
I still haven't read a single decent explanation for precisely why there even is rubberbanding. The whole thing is perverse, rewarding people for purposely not playing the game0 -
From the stories I've heard of people buying Health Packs (myself included, for the first time ever) thanks to the pretty insane rubber-banding in this event, I think there's your answer.0
-
But if the idea is to encourage a crazy last minute scramble so people have to buy health packs, you might as well just have a two hour event rather than a three day one where there the first two and a half days are a waste of time0
