more than anything, I'm going to miss the buffed crit+environment tiles.0

I certainly don't mind that the buffs are applied at granular levels, separating out attack buffs vs health buffs, but now it feels like a pain to sift through the different changes per character and compare with their vanilla stats.
This whole icon business was a terrible idea. Increased ambiguouation is never preferred.0 -

is ambiguouation even a word0 -
This update needs to be forced to everyone. The nerf to crit bonus and environment tiles gives those who don't update a huge advantage for easier wins.0

It's kind of ambiguous.0 -

Nothing quite like changing the rules to a tournament in the middle of the tournament.
I really wonder if the developers even care one bit about the players.0 -
My 2 (3) cents:
1. Not a fan of the ambiguous buff icons. difficult to know what they mean or exactly how buffed the character is.
2. UI graphics are certainly attention-grabbing, but the colours are a bit on the intense/garish side IMHO.
3. Environmental criticals buffs are no longer? This is disappointing. It was the only way I could see in practice to actually get enough to start forest fires...0 -
Easiest way to fix buff abiguity is just make the crystal symbol represent a universal percentage. Half a crystal means 100%, full crystal means 200%. Or go back to the previous percentage indicator (which would really actually be the easiest way).0

Wow.... So now the idiots that downloaded the new update (myself included) have no chance to compete against people that haven't downloaded it. 7 days of playing this hunt tourney have been wasted.
That's the end of this game for me. Changing game play in the middle of tournaments is a sure fire way to lose gamers.
Over & out.0 -

um...there's more than 1 way to beat the events....0 -
I really don't care when they patch things as long as everybody is subject to the same game rules...too bad this isn't the case here.0

Agree that the new buff icon is really confusing. It's not just that it obscures the granularity of the buff, but a new player who's even never seen a buff before is not going to know what that twinkly thing is. Maybe introduce the concept of buffing somewhere in the Prologue? Also, would it be possible for us to get the details of what exactly is buffed somewhere? Preferably in-game, say in the Event Rules section, since most players don't read the forums?
Also, while I'm ok with the crit multiplier going down if that's how the designers intended it to work, I have to say that having buffed crit multipliers was crazy fun and it really gave some of the lesser-used characters in my roster (hello, Magneto Marvel now) a chance to shine. Setting up blue or green tiles to critical with the power and chaining that into repeated thorned roses or containment breaches is a blast, and the first time you discover that ability, it's pure joy. It'd be great to have a chance to play with that mechanic in the future.0 -

Sure there is, but those who don't apply the upgrade have a major advantage over those who do apply the update. And bluntly, changing the rules in the middle of a competition is complete ****.0 -

Look, to be honest, if this patch affected your chances of getting punisher, there was probably a very small chance you were getting punisher anyways.0 -
I was thinking the same.0

Have to agree completely with this. Don't mind that the buff was changed mid tournament, but I was having a blast with Hawkeye M. Before the Hunt my Hawkeye was a low level space waster , after I saw the power of the 200% critical he became one of my go to team members. I leveled him up to 70 and he was almost always included on my team, matching a critical with two environment tiles was amazing. This made him a viable option when facing the 200+ level Daken, Venom, Yelena teams, now its just not worth it, Grey Widow is a better option with her sniper rife. I'm not complaining, just missing the fun I was having with Hawkeye...had the buff change been mentioned in the patch notes I would have waited.0 -

Funny, I don't recall even mentioning that I was even trying to get a punisher. So perhaps you can just get off your high horse and join the actual discussion that everyone else is having.0 -

You should realize, though, that the buffed crit multiplier made some of the characters like Ragnarok and Magneto WAY more dangerous when paired with a buffed hero.0
