After the tinykitty event that was Unstable ISO-8, where all my hard work was undone by me not being able to wake up at 6 AM to play ), I'd like to know how many of us are willing to play PVE consistently.
I helped two of us find temporary homes and get the Captain Marvel alliance cover, I can try and do that again, but in order to be hired as temp by a top 25/top 50 alliance (and get the corresponding alliance rewards) you need to work your **** off.
Personally I consider PVE as more of an extra - I grind it for ISO, I try to stay top 200 to get a cover, but I don't have the time to grind excessively (I ended up with 56.8k - a lot less than the 63K needed for top 20 in my bracket...)

On the Season 4 goals - it would be ideal if we could stay top 100 again, but, honestly, does anyone care for the Invisible Woman cover?
My proposal is to decide on a case by case basis, using the in-game chat, whether we push for top 100 in the current PVP event or not.
The current PVP event rewards Sentry covers, and everybody wants Sentry (right? ) so top 100 is a must IMHO.

Let me know your thoughs on both counts, please.

For me personally, it is not so much the covers that I'm after, since most PVP events I'm cover maxed. I push for high scores mainly to help the alliance score higher, because as I have gotten better I want the alliance to improve as well. But it really hasn't translated to that, instead it seems we have taken a few steps back. I was hoping we'd slowly start to hit top 50 in PVPs as the extra ISOs and HPs are nice, but now we have to push everyone to get top 100. My worries are that if we find it okay to not strive for top 100, when we actually want to hit top 100, players cant really turn it on to get there. It used to be we aimed for top 50 and mostly end up top 100, now we are okay with only occasionally getting top 100?

I'm curious what everyone's opinion on this is. I don't want to try to push the alliance to be more competitive if the alliance much rather be more casual.

If the bottom 6 would've scored 500+, we would've been top 100.

Time to go ruthless - as bighair said, and as recent results prove, there's no longer a place for a semi-competitive alliance out there. We either push hard during every event or fully relax and forget about the top 100 cover.

As such, I want to reinforce the minimal quota of 600 points each, starting now. If you feel you can't do this, please leave.

Punishing all the other hardworking alliance members due to a less competitive few is not an option.

Again I just want to say hi to the group and thank you for the add. I play daily and haven't missed a day since. I may not always get a chance to play as much as I would like but I do try to at least get a few matches in. I try to get the final push in for all pvp but those noon est end times are always tough. My forum use has been lacking but will work on that as that it seems that in-game chat is a bit too active ... which is a good thing as my previous alliance would go days without any communication. It is nice to feel the need to push again, and not feel like my effort is being wasted. Again, thanks for the add!

Is Johnny Storm any good? I have one of his covers expiring soon along with two CptMarvels. I don't have enough hp to buy slots so I need to sell some useless characters. Any suggestions? My only 1* left is mStorm. I could also dumb Daredevil, cause you know...he sucks.

When you're not sure whether to sell or keep a hero, take a look at the latest character rankings: http://www.d3pforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=9782

2* heroes I'd sell 'cause useless: Moonstone, Cap Am, Daken (you want 3* Daken, not the 2* one... also, you can rebuild any 2* rather quickly now thank to the PVP drops)
3* heroes I'd sell: Spider Man, Ragnarok, Dr Doom (mainly because you only have one cover of these and they're not great anyways)

Also, remember this game is designed to push players towards keeping ALL covers by requiring these heroes during certain events. So ideally you should invest at least in roster slots.

Hi guys, I just joined up at the end of the pred and prey PVP so am also a newcomer. I've been playing mpg pretty much nonstop since just before season 1 and was actually considering quitting cold turkey if I couldn't find a fun alliance to join up with. As a mostly solo player I was pretty cover starved so here's hoping with your help I'll be ISO limited in no time.

He's not given out as PVP drop yet, so I'd hold on him for a while in case he's required in pve. I don't think Rags & Dr Doom were evr required, so maybe drop them first?

So I've already reached 600 in teh current PVP. Any advice for shielding? I only have 300hp. I'm hoping I don't get crushed once everyone starts playing the event or when I wake up tomorrow.

The trick is to try and reach 600 or whereabouts with under 8 h to go, then shield, but everybody is doing the same so it's hard.

There's 1 day and 9 hours remaining at this moment, so in your place I'd just wait it out the next day, maybe playing PVE for ISO. Then start playing and recovering points once there's just 8h remaining, hoping to make the 600 points back in an hour or so, then shield until the end.

Also, here's an expert post on shield hopping, just so you can understand the mechanic. It's way too early for you to shield hop, unless you're willing to sink quite some money in the game:
