Big question: is anybody else unhappy with us not managing to stay top 100 PVE every time?

I think that given the way PVE is skewed out towards newer players, with weaker rosters, willing to play MPQ 24h/day, we only have two choices:
- reinforce a minimum PVE participation so that we stay top 100 when it matters. I checked the last couple PVEs and it looks around 45K per week-long PVE is a minimum for top 100.
- drop PVE completely, turn HulkUnited into a PVP-only alliance, and allow teammates who really want the PVE covers to merc out to other alliances.

Please let me know which of the two options you prefer. Thanks!

PVE is not so important: 2 weeks after we have a pvp event to get the covers.
I think we should focus on pvp, like that we can up our 4* to 270 without problems, drop some of the 2* required for pve and do our best where we have more rewards.

And PVE is just farming 1 week for 1-3 covers, PVP event = 2days fo 3-4 covers.

I'm fine either way, I always assumed we were a mostly PVP group since there was never a real PVE quota laid out.
I usually put in a decent score on new character PVEs just because I like to have all the characters (which is like every other PVE event these days)

I've decided to step away as well. I've been neglecting other games I'd rather be playing and my comic reading has fallen behind. I setup a bogus Facebook account so I think I could theoretically transfer my account if anyone knows someone who wants to take it over. It's been fun. My vote, for what its worth is to stay PVP only.

A few observations:
- looks like PVE is getting ultracompetitive. During the last PVE (The Hunt) we had 1.521.967 points and ended up 94th. Now, with 400k more, we barely stayed top 100.
- the average quota for PVE is not the 45K I thought it was, but somewhere around 95-100k.

A question:
- was the effort worth it?

Due to the new reward structure imposed by D3P, I'll definitely get at least 4 blue Rocket & Groot covers:
- personal reward in PVE (yes, I ended up 55th with my 95k, so got a single blue cover)
- alliance reward in PVE (go team! )
- personal reward in the incoming PVP (assuming I'll reach top 100)
- alliance reward in the incoming PVP (assuming we'll reach top 100)

By chance, blue is one of the better R&G abilities, so this time I'm happy with the rewards.
I'll still need to work my **** off to get all colors in PVP, though, 'cause I can bet the progression R&G reward for the PVP event featuring them will be blue, too.

What are your thoughts on the effort vs rewards balance on this PVE?

A quick reminder - our overall goal remains, as always, staying top 100 in the Season. This time it's even more important due to the awesomeness of Lady Thor.

Right now, with just 19 members (until westwood returns) we're #101 with 75.464 points.
Reaching our PVP quota (650 points) is paramount to us staying top 100; looking at the rosters, some of us (our PVE specialists) will have a hard time reaching that on a regular basis, so the ones who can (our PVP specialists...) should try to score a little bit extra to compensate. IMHO, it's the only way we can get both PVE top 100 and PVP top 100. I know I didn't manage to do it either (I blame the Sentry nerf and the AI cascades), but I'll try harder next time. Boyscout promise.

Like I said before we have "1 week farming and intense grinding for 2-3 covers" VS "2days farming for 3-4 covers + season reward".

For me, we gain more in pvp than pve, the anniversary event was different because we get Devil Dino only 1 week in a the year.
When there is new "awesome" covers, I can push in pve, but lastely only Blade and Groot were good, mystique not really. So I think we should focus pvp and help our people in transition to up the good 3* to get them in 3* land (aka Patch, Daken, Thor, Steeve Rodger, Black Panther, Cmag, Sentry and perhaps Groot).

Another important thing: I farm iso to put 4* Thor at full level day one, so doing pve with high score will be near impossible with the scalling I'll have. But in pvp Thor + X-Force will be the top team at high level pvp. So I won't let them at 220.

Looks like grinding PVE and scoring high in PVP are two rather incompatible activities, I discovered this myself when I just couldn't get 1100 points in time (all my matches in the last 2h were worth 12-15 points, winning two matches meant being attacked at least once and going negative, and hopping after a single match is a financial disaster).
