Take a look at the character rankings topic & the Polarity transition to 3* guide. IM40 is very middle of the road, so I wouldn't invest in him much. Mine is lvl61, and on the long term I aim to lvl up all my 3* to around lvl70 so they'll be more useful when featured/boosted.

I had a very hard time when Punisher was my only maxed 3*, so I think it's better to be patient and hoard iso while you hope you'll get the covers you want (looked at your roster, and looks like LThor/Punisher/Falcon is a team you can reasonably aim for).

I am in the same possition. I am currently hoarding lots of iSO (up to 270k) waiting for at least two 3*s to be fully covered. The down side is that my most covered character is Spidey (which is not worth leveling up). I am in a desperate need of 3* covers!!

I hope the 1 cover is in yellow. If you've got 4 in yellow, that's wayyy too much already. TBH, 3 is already too much, probably just keep a 1 cover yellow to be your red battery. But yeah IM 40 is pretty underwhelming, just a ton of health and not much else.

2 Yellow is pretty good so he can be a red/blue battery and getting 8 yellows in a match is pretty easy.

If you haven't dropped any ISO on him I'd have a serious think about ditching him and starting over.

Do you always shield at the end of events? I got nailed for 130 points last night about two hours before event end so I eneded up shielding to protect what I did have left. I am trying not to use any shields so I can get more roster spots, expecially for the two lDaken covers I have expiring in two days.

Also, I want to tell everyone how excited I am for the three BagMan covers I got!! (heavy dose of sarcasm included)

I do shield at least once during the last 3 h, but I normally shield more than that...
Normal behavior for me is one or two 3h shields + one 8h shield per event, especially because once you get past 750-800 points you get attacked a lot, no matter how strong your team is. I bought some HP during the last sale and I hope it'll hold until the next sale : )

It's not like you have too many options as a 2* only team... I'd go for Thor + Ares, because Ares is scarier on defense since True Healing as people are aware he'll eat a big chunk of their heroes' life anyway.

Hey team, sorry about my score in the First Avenger PVP, I am really confused about what just happened. I was sitting at #25 in my group with 700+ points. My shield expired with 5 minutes to play and I made a push on two matches to secure top 25. When I came out of my second match, I lost 230 points and fell to #136 with only 523 points. Sorry I didn't meet my quota for the team...I am in tears about not getting any BP covers for all my hard work. This has never happened to me before as I always come out at end of PVP to secure my rank. The MPQ gods were against me today and I am very sad right now.

First of all, I'm really sorry for your experience, losing 200+ points is indeed devastating
Second, cheer up, you still got the alliance cover, right? It's just a game, so don't sully too much, you'll do better next time.
Third, the massive lesson to be learned from this is to never stay unshielded at the very end of events if you have a decent score. Everybody's pushing for those final points and the 2* teams are easy prey. I know getting an extra cover is so tempting, but the drawback can be severe, as you just saw. You have three choices: a. play until 550-600 points and hope nobody attacks you 'cause you're not worth many points, b. play at the very end of events, trying to ride from 400 points to 600-700 during the last hour, attacking ONLY big scorers who won't retaliate for 10 points and c. you do your climb way earlier, timing so that you end up with 600-700 points with less than 8h remaining, then shield up to the end.

Yeah I know, but it just hurts . I am still trying to figure this whole thing out and how it best works for my schedule but I for sure will stop playing in final minutes for sure. Hopefully this transition to *** speeds up for me so I can stop complaining about my first world problems.

something similar happened when i was playing the last event for psylocke covers. i got to almost 700pts but ran out of health and did an 8hr shield so i figured id try and play a couple games and hopefully hit 700 and then use a 3hr shield to cover til the end. after playing and winning one game, i saw i was attacked and down 150pts so i tried to catch up with one more game and shield and only made top 100 instead of being much higher. this event i didnt have as much time to play so had to use up my hp points n shielded at 24hrs. i dont have any 3star covered maxed out yet so once i hit 700pts all my opponents are 3 star level 166 characters. seems its hard to break that barrier with 2stars/mixed 3 star characters without spending a ton on shields unfortunately
