What's your secret to pushing out the wins quickly during the last half hour without boosts?
I don't win 1st every time, but have won enough to believe that the game is not heavily pay2win.

I've already mentioned in another thread that I don't find it to be about matches/minute. Faster is better, but it diminishes past a certain point. I find it to really to be about hit lists. Avoid being on hit lists and have a good one of your own.

People complain a lot about rubberbanding in PVE, but I've been relying on it pretty heavily in PVP even though no one calls it that. Why fight 5 10-point matches when you can fight 3 20-point matches?

I've experimented with a lot of different things. I've even joined a bracket 2 hours before the end time. Managed top 10 in that one. I recommend trying it at least once because it was pretty fun.

My recent fetish is with tanking. I have The Ladder to thank for this after having been pounded by him 3 times in the last 10 mins one time. After tanking, let's just say that I don't need to worry about getting attacked by him anymore lol.

As a player who spent quite a lot on covers when I started playing, I a m not tempted to spend anymore money any longer. if they really wanted more money they would reduce prices and let people pay to get access to characters. I have a nice maxed out team, now I want more characters and want to max hem out, but I am turned off by the grind... Making 6 characters level 141 sounds awful to me, I would spend $10 to level a toon from100-141 and not worry too much about it. But if I were to try to buy ISO it would cost MANY times that much, which is crazy.

They could get a steady stream of income from completionists by making it cost approximately $10 per charcter to max out in levels,or buy covers. I have money, I am happy to support the game, but the inflation is too high.

The thing is, I want the covers the grind for ISO is wearing thin and I no longer think there is any value in IAP which means I am more likely to walk away from the game.

My advice lower costs, keep the game fresh as you have been doing and release new charcters when you want more money. MAKE advancement CHEAPER not more expensive.
  • Here's the thing guys. This dev team works damn hard. They push out updates two-three times a month. And still a lot of people in the game have some near maxed out characters. If they raise prices, it may slow down our progression rate which is good, we can enjoy the game longer that way. If we could just buy perfect characters that would be lame. The whole point of an rpg is to grind and enjoy the story. And for the record as IceIX put it> people bought the two star hero pack for 300. Granted it was tourney specific, but I'm sure it had plenty of garbage in it. So if people bought it as regularily as the 150 packs than why wouldn't they raise the price?
  • Hi All, i just want to voice out my opinion here.

I play this game right from launch and have spent money as well. I never thought i spent more than $50 on a mobile game but i did anyway coz i really love this game.

I remembered iceIX said it before that the price is going to increase at some point so i kinda expecting this price hike, but not really expecting 100% increase on heroic token.

I bought the 300 hp event special several times and i love the fact that the probability to get character that i want is bigger than the normal heroic token. So, i think for event specific token, 300 HP is quite reasonable price.

About the overall pricing of this game though, i think it's due to the fact that D3P has to pay many many licensing fees to Marvel. It's kinda like a franchise business, which leverages on the brand heavily. This MPQ is still nothing compared to Marvel WoH which many people spend almost 1000 bucks for 1 event only. It is so much more expensive than this game.

So i would assume that every marvel game is kinda expensive icon_e_confused.gif

As crazy as it sounds (even to myself who never spent more than $50 on a F2P mobile game before), this game is still more reasonably priced and definitely better than Marvel WoH.
  • I wish I'd know this game's economy was going to be like this, I never would have started playing.
    This.

I've typed and deleted several angry comments...suffice it to say-

*IF* I choose to keep playing, never another penny from me. ever. again.

It's a real shame you all took things in this direction...chasing 150hp heroic packs was the only thing left to look forward to...now that wait is twice as long. Did you soften this blow at all? Tell us that you tweaked the odds less in favor of pulling bagman/hawkeye and more in favor of pulling a 3 star? Something? Anything? No. Nothing.

Y'all really need to reconsider your business model.

It was fun while it lasted.
  • There's so much butthurt in this topic over a change that shouldn't affect that many people to begin with. Who buys heroics anyways?

Now if they raise the price of training a 3* cover...there will be hell to pay.

It's already obscenely expensive. I've never paid for a power upgrade, and I never will. 1250 HP? Life is too short. Unless you mean ISO costs?

So out of curiosity, what do you use your hp on? Just cover slots?
  • yes, if you're being economical the only thing you should buy are cover slots. everything else you can get pretty regularly playing events, even if all you do is grind progression rewards.

but if you want that ragnorak and you want him now now now, then yeah it'll take $50+. that's the entire model of theirs and i hope it works because its a good game and should be supported by the whales.
  • I have been playing this game from day one. I have felt the changes some good, some ehh, and mainly really good. The level changes, Loki was originally truly a god in this game.I was extremely upset they nerfed him but, I wanted the advantage. PQ did the right thing though now I don't use Loki. However, the customer service from this game is the best I have ever seen .

I have spent some money heavily on the game. I play that Marvel TCG game and that is a ripoff. I spend my money not because I have to but because I want to support the game. The developers are very generous in rewards and content. I would argue there are too many tourneys at once. I play to point my wife complains but she has Candy Crush.

I truly feel the developers have created a good model and will support as long they use thoughtful discretion which they have. The game is very high in value return.

Anybody notice the 200 HP heroics in the Hawkeye/Bullseye tournament? They may still be experimenting with the price here. I bought a few to encourage this price, even though it has higher odds for two characters I haven't been using.
