punisher is too strong when comparing with other 3*

  • Punisher is heavily used because his covers were made heavily available and he's good without having been threatened with the nerf bat. He was my first 3* with full covers and my first 3* to level 141. He is basically never the "must kill first" character in PvP, even in tournaments where he is boosted, which says it all. I never fear a team with Punisher. FWIW, the #1 character on the must kill first list is always The Hood and the only character these days who I might skip to avoid playing even if there are over 25 points on offer . The highest damage-dealer character on the must-kill list is probably LazyThor with the possibility of Black Panther or C.Mags if there's a lot of early black or purple on the board respectively for them. Punisher is a good complementary character, but I reckon most people use him because they have him and not because he's overpowered.

Hey! If you throw out a captain of the watch and a glorious anthem that bad boy's a 3/4! "Yeah for 11 mana, for 3 more why not just call the storm"

    -_-

Can you imagine Fathor in a green deck running rampant growths, some mox emeralds, maybe emerald medallions. throw on a blanch wood armor. Roarmygawd!!

Then he gets blocked by vampire nighthawk. I wish hood had death touch...

Am I the only one that REALLY wants to play a marvel: the gathering game now?

Not anymore - that actually sounds pretty fun icon_e_biggrin.gif
  • I can see Sentry will be like:

(1): Do 2 damage to target creature or player, but you take 1 damage.

It'd be totally balanced because you'd only have 10 life left when the opposing player is dead.

    No worries phantron!

It's only a 2* card but it can still be useful once you have a stronger deck. Lots of people on the marvel: the gathering boards are crying for natural spring to be nerfed though : /

It's okay, we can start a game of RISK in the corner while they trade thier cards. I assume the board will get flipped at some point or someone will "accidentally" throw the dice on the board and knock out all of Europe ....so finishing the game isn't that important....kinda like Mpq! Risk is a war game, so its super not nerdy. If you never played risk before, that's okay! It's very easy. These guys would have you playing settlers of catan in comparison...so be happy I didn't pick that.

Ohh, actually I have the board game "xmen ALERT" somewhere. Pretty cool little game from when I was a kid. I call colossus.

With Punisher being the 10th or 11th strongest 3-star (1 lower the minute Storm goes live), I'd have to say he's way far from "too strong when comparing to other 3*."
