This place is getting insaneThis game is in a terrible state. All enjoyment is being sucked out of this game.
And this is more than a game. This is a daily ritual, that people have spent a decade using. People are angry their daily ritual is now broken (with no end in sight). Daily, worse and worse bugs are appearing to the point the game isn't usable. They come here in frustration and they're constantly getting gaslit.
It's not too bad. It's just a game. This shouldn't worry you. You're the problem if a mobile game upsets you.
It's insulting to think people should just sit here and cop it. Sure, asking for people to lose their jobs is probably a bit far. The users have lost 10 years of a part of their life. I've played this game longer than my kids have been alive.
Yeah I'm sorry, if a phone game upsets you to the point where you're calling for people to be fired (or worse), you've absolutely lost the plot. Play a different game, watch TV, read a book, go outside. MPQ is a fun time-waster but it is not that serious.

If it's not that serious, why do you respond to every single post someone makes here? Do you monitor the boards for new posts? You say it isn't serious, yet everything you do suggests it is. Otherwise you wouldn't spend so much time on something that isn't serious?

Brilliant. The lack of self awareness is off the charts

I don't respond to every single post someone makes. I respond when someone replies to me, or talks about me, which seems to be pretty often the last few days. I like talking about the game, and most of what I post here is about the actual game, characters, mechanics, etc.
It's entirely possible to spend lots of time on things that aren't serious, btw. They're called "hobbies."
You're right though. Since Unity, this forum has become a bizarre circlejerk where anyone who dares suggest that the developers shouldn't be immediately executed is a "gaslighter" who's "shilling" for them. I'll stick to posting about the actual game, which remains fun for me. Come find me in PvP!

You wanna put yourself in your game, totally fine, it's your game. But when your game becomes a dumpster fire(yes I can't look away from it) and fixes only create new problems, don't be shocked at the disrespect.
I'm sorry, but it is just not that serious.
This is a silly superhero toilet game. It is essential to no one's life.
If a doctor operated on the wrong patient, or a firefighter slept through a call, yeah, let's call for them to be fired. This? Play a different game for awhile. Nobody is going to die.
(And I've said this a million times, but if you're feeling personally disrespected by the developers of a phone game, maybe don't continue to support them by playing it?)
Do the parent company, shareholders, or players who've spent money all feel it's just a toilet game? There's a bit more to it than just that.
The parent company and shareholders will do whatever they feel like they need to do. But unless you're one of them, why does it matter?
If you've spent money on this game expecting anything out of it besides momentary fun, that is on you. Spending money on any mobile game is lighting it on fire then flushing it down the toilet. The game could go away at any time, for any reason, and whatever you spent just disappears immediately.
I am one of them so it does matter. Everyone who spends on the game does so for whatever reason they see fit. Me personally, do it for a few reasons, but my biggest investment in the game was in the company itself. And it was pretty recent as well because the chart was starting to shape up finally so I invested a bit in it.
So yea when im an investor in a company and they aren't performing up to expectations I expect something to be done to correct the issue. Believe me, digi bros gonna hear about it during next shareholder meeting.
Wow, I...uh, can't say I'd have considered adding MPQ stock to my portfolio.
But your constantly telling everyone to spend money so the game doesn't die, but I digress. No it's not gonna make me a billionaire, but everything the chart was showing me was screaming buy. So I bought some. Do this for a living. I can squeeze some profit out and support something I use daily, I'll do that all day.
Now, is it a risky investment, 100% yes. More so than the standard risk with any investment.
I'm not telling people to spend money on the game. I'm telling people that if they're concerned about the game's continued existence, they can support it by spending money.
If you want your favorite restaurant to survive, go eat there. If you don't want to support them, then don't be surprised when they close down.
Oh fun, back to restaurant analogies. What if the food doesn't taste as good and it now takes much longer to get your food? Or for many people, they locked the door and you can't even get in.

So if I haven’t backed up then I just wait till there’s a fix? I don’t play much anyway, so it doesn’t bother me in the slightest.
Did I read that right?

Well, there are like 1000 restaurants nearby, so I'd probably go eat at a different one.
Alternatively I guess I could review bomb them on Yelp, scream at the manager that they had to fire the chef, send the owner a bomb threat, and spend months ranting about it on a food forum.
Yeah, I'd probably just go to a different Applebee's. Seems easier.

Nope, it was your favorite. Therefore you just give them more money hoping they get better.

Wow! In my 11 years playing this game I don't think I've ever seen this level of vitriol.
Have people never taken a break from this game before? Do people not just put the game away for a week when they've gone on vacation?
Some of the people having such extreme reactions to not being able to play the game, have you considered the possibility that this game is an addiction? I don't mean that as a joke or to be funny, I'm seriously asking.
There are a lot of games over the years that I've loved and played every day and occasionally those games servers would go down when I wanted to play. Sometimes they'd even be down for several days. I played other games, or watched a movie or something instead. I didn't call for the makers of the game to fired and tarred and feathered.
The extreme reaction of some of these comments to not being able to play this game sounds how people react on intervention when they find out they can't get booze or drugs any more.

There's no getting through to them, it's not worth it.
He has a financial interest in this game and as a result continually pushes the narrative that it's the user's fault that this game is a mess.
The new devs have destroyed a lot of the goodwill they created when they took over this game. We're at a point now that the bugs are so numerous, and constant to the point the game went even load now, and they're still telling us it's not that bad. Or better yet, why don't you go play another game?
But hey, they either fix instantly, or threaten the users when a bug goes in our favour so, thumbs up?

That is correct. Sorry for derailing the thread but entrollbucket needed some of his own medicine.

Feels like people need to have a bit of perspective here. I understand the grind etc but everyone’s in the same position and everyone will be compensated.
Enjoy having your life back for as long as this takes to resolve, and if you can’t then you should probably talk to someone about dopamine addiction. Touch some grass.

I am not one of the vitriol spewers ( I hope), but for many of us the daily habit we have around this game is so ingrained that it is very much like an addiction. Not something that is extremely hard to quit, but it’s not super easy either. I certainly am aware of my MPQ habits and routines and know it’s difficult to just stop. But I don’t mind it at all and find the game truly enjoyable.7 -
I don’t have a lot of faith I’ll be able to get on today. This is kind of hurting my feelings. I haven’t missed a day in about…… 10 years? sigh
I guess I’ll just have to hope the clock stopped in-game?

I personally felt frustrated long before all these Unity shenanigans happened, so I stopped spending $$. But I find the game fun and simplistic so I kept playing. All these 'issues' just add on to those frustrations of mine. YMMV.

Sounds like some can still play. What does ‘compensated’ in this case entail, we have no idea. We also have no indication of how long this will last. For high level daily players, no throwing a few covers at me won’t make up for my lost progress. Today would have been a 30 command point day minimum for me, plus 75,000-100,000 iso. If it’s not fixed tomorrow then I’ll miss the max rewards for the rest of the week whether it’s fixed or not.
Sorry, but I plan my gameplay based on daily max playing. That includes decisions on leveling up characters and opening covers.

I'm not entirely ungrateful to have a bit of a forced break from the grind of "keeping up" with this game. But my god, the total s**t-show going on here is probably unparalleled in any game I've ever played. This is more buggy than a Bethesda release, for a match-3 casual mobile game that a single dedicated programmer could probably recreate from the ground up in a few months if they had all the art assets handed to them.

Nothing has changed. It keeps closing on this screen.
