Goodness. This update is a mess. The person that suggested unity should be fired.

Out of a cannon, into the Sun

My granny always said, if you want a mobile game shot into the sun, you gotta do it yourself. God bless her zombie bones.

Fired, no. Even when folks are screwing up at work (and they definitely are in this case) you should give a little grace.

They should do the right thing though and roll this mess all the way back to the old engine. Then take all the time they need to get Unity PROPERLY tested and then and only then roll it back out.

The grace I had to give evaporated when this character dropped.

You wanna put yourself in your game, totally fine, it's your game. But when your game becomes a dumpster fire(yes I can't look away from it) and fixes only create new problems, don't be shocked at the disrespect.

I'm sorry, but it is just not that serious.

This is a silly superhero toilet game. It is essential to no one's life.

If a doctor operated on the wrong patient, or a firefighter slept through a call, yeah, let's call for them to be fired. This? Play a different game for awhile. Nobody is going to die.

(And I've said this a million times, but if you're feeling personally disrespected by the developers of a phone game, maybe don't continue to support them by playing it?)

Do the parent company, shareholders, or players who've spent money all feel it's just a toilet game? There's a bit more to it than just that.

Well I'm screwed until the fix. Hopefully my team won't boot me for not being able to play

The parent company and shareholders will do whatever they feel like they need to do. But unless you're one of them, why does it matter?

If you've spent money on this game expecting anything out of it besides momentary fun, that is on you. Spending money on any mobile game is lighting it on fire then flushing it down the toilet. The game could go away at any time, for any reason, and whatever you spent just disappears immediately.

I am one of them so it does matter. Everyone who spends on the game does so for whatever reason they see fit. Me personally, do it for a few reasons, but my biggest investment in the game was in the company itself. And it was pretty recent as well because the chart was starting to shape up finally so I invested a bit in it.

So yea when im an investor in a company and they aren't performing up to expectations I expect something to be done to correct the issue. Believe me, digi bros gonna hear about it during next shareholder meeting.

Wow, I...uh, can't say I'd have considered adding MPQ stock to my portfolio.

A shareholder meeting is probably a more appropriate venue for this type of feedback, then. I think there's a near zero percent chance that anything you say here will make it back to anyone in any sort of position of authority.

I still think it's gross to call for people's jobs over a phone game, but I guess that's just where we're at now -- somebody gets the wrong meal at a restaurant and calls the manager over to demand the entire staff be fired.

This seems to me like a system-level problem. It's not one person or another to blame.

All the more reason to roll it back until they can actually put the product they want out. When the whole system is broken trying to make duct tape fixes just doesn't work.

This is starting to become a problem now. Look… I’ve played this game for a long time. But now….. members in my team are leaving since this new download has been SO screwy. And now I’m pretty sure I’m not even gonna be able to do my usual slotted time today.

    Geez…..

But your constantly telling everyone to spend money so the game doesn't die, but I digress.

No it's not gonna make me a billionaire, but everything the chart was showing me was screaming buy. So I bought some. Do this for a living. I can squeeze some profit out and support something I use daily, I'll do that all day.

Now, is it a risky investment, 100% yes. More so than the standard risk with any investment.

I've restored from backup before. I'm on iOS. This morning I caught the "Marvel-won't-load-any-further" screen. Uninstalled, reinstalled, "would you like to restore from backup?" "Yes."

And it just loads a brand new starter account. Repeatedly.

I assume my account, that I've spent years on, is gone. And so am I.

    Mod edit - profanity removed.

Good job, guys. You broke the game, and people are quitting en masse. Good, good job.

I'm not telling people to spend money on the game. I'm telling people that if they're concerned about the game's continued existence, they can support it by spending money.

If you want your favorite restaurant to survive, go eat there. If you don't want to support them, then don't be surprised when they close down.
