    That's the luck of the draw. There is still way too much c**p in that vault.

    Then vaults were out and passes got introduced. No one wanted this, but given it was a decent source of iso, that calmed down most of the criticism (mine included) because at least it was good enough to catch up on champing 4 & 5*s. It's not everyone's case but I'm fine dropping 1500g for over half a million iso.

    Now, we got "both" , but really we got neither. 2.5x less iso in pass ( 3x less if you include the fact theres no iso from quests either), no tokens in dailies, and tokens bundled instead with their overpriced garbage offers as if the Xvault was as appealing as the That's a steel vault.

    If you only spent on premium pass and stop at level 50, you'll finish that vault with 18/120 pulls done. Unless you are lucky and pull at least one of the two 3a4 with that slightly under 1/6 chance - you were having it WAY better with any of the previous iteration. This one's the worst by every metric. (I'm not bothering with the details and making this post too long, but you also get less riso and worse tokens ...)

    Now you might find it "not so problematic", it's not that this change is so drastic it ruins the game because it doesn't, but it is absolutely chipping at my will to keep playing and feels so tonedeaf I have little to no faith left it'll improve instead of becoming the new norm

    The question simply becomes what am I playing for? If both LL hoard value diminishes since swap is paid, and 3a4 becomes gambling instead of a guarantee, seems they just want you to play aimlessly or purchase non stop, no inbetween. That's the main reason I've been looking at other games lately. Hell, if the sunk cost fallacy wasn't hitting me so hard I probably wouldn't have bothered posting in the first place, and just leave the game instead.

    I'd love to be proven wrong but the ball is in their side of the court, not mine.

    We don't really know what is going on with the Devs but I agree there have been quite a few changes recently which are not player friendly. Unfortunately shrinkflation has been a real world issue since 2022 and it seems even digital goods are not immune. I find it hard to believe that the Devs are purposely looking for ways to alienate their player base so perhaps these changes are being forced on them - for example I read that cover swaps took up more than 30% of CS time - now it is fair to say that was their fault for thst system which was only ever meant to be temporary but you can't sustain a service based upon one third of it's work giving away stuff for free. Likewise I think we all knew that those earlier vaults were far too good and a sting in the tail had to happen eventually. I guess tied in with the bad year the games industry had, monetisation and less value were inevitable.

    Of course that doesn't make it any more palatable.

    I ended pulling tokens i built up today. They suckered me in with the HP deals that include 2 vaults tokens.
    20 pulls in. No ascended. The best thing I pulled for my roster was 5* Banner. So far I regret the purchases.

    update

    On pull 32, I pulled 3a4 Magik. The only item i cared about. I also pulled 5* Colossus. So overall not too bad of luck.

    1K Iso-8 x4, 5K, and 10K
    3* Gorgon x5, Daredevil, Elektra
    Classic, Heroic, 2 cp x2

    Atrocious luck thus far. I predict if I do pull one of the ascended characters it will be Magik because I already have her from a previous vault.

    28 pulls so far (bought some of the 1K HP deals that netted me some extra pulls).

    I've gotten the ascended Elektra which is 1 of the 2 I really care about. I also got a Omega Red and another 5 star cover (can't remember which).

    Did you already have 2 ascended Magik and now you have 3? If not, now that you have 2, once you get one of them to lvl 370 you will already have another one to merge for ascension and she is one of the better 3a5

    37 pulls so far:

    7 four star covers
    2 five star covers
    No ascended covers

    Arguably this is a decent set of pulls, but the low value ISO pulls, and 100hp pulls just feel like a waste.

    All that bonus free extra stuff is a joke?

    I mean how much have you gone out of your way to complete the quests? I'm all done and I never had to do anything extra beyond normal playing other than put in a web tile creator in DDQ quests since I don't normally use web tile characters. I've pulled 30 times so far and all the extra pulls I've gotten came from spending HP on daily offers that were all worth it to me without factoring in the extra pulls in this vault. I've spent no real $ on to get more pulls.

    They left out the fact that the top levels of the season pass repeat forever, so you can earn quite a few more tokens than they had in the initial 60 levels or whatever.

    It's still worse, obviously, but it's somewhat less worse than what they described initially (which, like, people were really mad -- maybe actually describe the change in full? whatever, they are so bad at communicating).

    Already had 2 which is the case for most of the 3 stars.
