    lol I can’t tell you off the top of my head what most of the newer characters do, precisely.

    But you’re right. It’s Lady Octopus’ blue which costs 6 ap.

    Whether you can figure out how to use them together somewhere…ddq still seems like a decent place. PvP seems impossible if you have champed 5s.

    He was rosterable as of about 7am EST this morning. Search for "Gorgon" and scroll past your empty roster slots, he's down there.

    You will get a loaner for his PVP, too, and that will start Sunday, but if you roster him now you can get a head start. I got two covers (370+280 Silver Samurai,) which kind of sucks, really, but I'll be up to, what, 4ish by the end of his PVE so long as I can do these quests.

    I think he meant that as a secondary feeder that there was < 500 shards available for most of us and so we don't even have enough for 1 cover.

    Ummm yea.. I don’t have enough shards for one cover, much less one of each color that I’d need to complete the Gorgon event quests that reward another 750 shards. How am i supposed to obtain those covers before quest ends in six days?

    there should be 5* event with a 1/1/1 loaner. Thats where they intend you to do those quests

    I believe that the only option it's when he appears in the PVE (like we have now the 3*...

    I typically do them in PvE nodes. There is usually 1 node with goons or mostly goons that you can repeat infinitely. This assumes you aren't trying for T10 placement in PvE and need to watch your clear times.

    She might not work tho because it says 'unlocked abilities' which may mean you need 1 cover (Bolt doesn't have that wording).

    The quest timings for a new 5* release coupled with the odds of pulling from his store with HP is absolutely appalling. You could easily drop £££££ into the store and get nothing (which I've sadly done before).

    I've got him at 3/2/2 and have been using him with 5* Hawkeye and then tanking with my 5* nova to get countdown tiles every turn. Whenever they expire Im getting blue and red which are powering my Gorgon abilities and he's pretty damn strong this way because every time you switch between killer and cutter you're permanently increasing their own damage which is great!

    In PVE if you equip the snack cart, that's countdown tile galore so you always have a healthy amount of blue and red to pop off with Gorgon

    You made me wonder so I tried her, and it definitely works for powers you haven’t pulled/unlocked yet.

    You can do pve nodes and retreat and maintain your score etc if you like. That’s up to each player. Venom Bomb has many nodes with no movers so it’s actually a decent place to do this.

    Yeah, Lady Octopus definitely works. She has been my main new character quest-solver for a while now.

    It's the nature of this game which prioritizes speed and passives but punishes setup teams. I really wish we could have a separate pve mode where it is not competitive or at least rewards strategy and themed teams.

    My first ever champed 5* was Hawkeye and till this day I still enjoy running CoulHawk and experimenting with a third.

    LOL. I play 3.10 PVE but deliberately wait until the first bracket closes just so I don't feel I have to play competitively. I can get top 50 without too much trouble, for the overall PVE it only makes a small difference, but for the subs it's a pretty big one (Mighty and some HP vs neither.) Progression rewards are always better than placement rewards, and in the end it's probably a similar amount of time spent on the game, but I would rather not put all that time in at the end/beginning of a sub.

    Anyway, it does let me play with teams a lot more, and I do. Gorgon is almost certainly more of a "build" character, getting more powerful as you play in the node, and the game isn't kind to those. I'll probably champ him next season and play with him in PVE and then I'll get a good feel for how good he is, I could see a number of good partners. MThor, Namor, Gorgon could be a lot of fun, for example...

    So as I am way out of touch with comics I was reading up on Gorgon having not encountered him since Enemy of the State - God killer is his sword. right? But it says in his wiki that the sword got destroyed in Dark Reign? So did it get replaced/how does he have it for X of Swords? Or are we not worrying about that? I guess he got a new one at the Fancy Swords R Us store. Or Amazon.

    ...are no worst than any other media when it comes to this sort of stuff. I mean if Bobby Ewing can come back from the dead in the shower or James Bond rarely remembers to pretend he isn't James Bond despite being a super secret spy and then is surprised when the bad guys work it out. At least in the Marvel Universe the impossible is actually possible. He probably just got Molecule Man to put it back together. 😎
