Mephisto (Lord of Hell) 5*

Using him with Grocket and Omega. Other teams I tried overwrite too many of his hellfire tiles. Full rainbow team and tons of passive damage.

Yeah these tiles are open like charged or abyss tiles. Very problematic.
Not a toon I would ever actually use. I would want to counter him and not **** with the garbage

I've gone back and forth and around again on the Hellfire thing. It's not bad but I don't think it's the reason to use him.
The reason to use him is that he's incredibly strong against healers and resurrectors. We didn't have a good counter for those guys and now we do. That makes him useful.

I get you, but his strength is the hellfire tiles. If the opposing team has none he is a winner. If they have them then it becomes a toss up like Chasm just not as bad.
The healing intervention as far as I can see is mid. The hellfire stuff is far more potent. I hope I am wrong, but I have not seen anything’s ng live to prove me wrong.
I hope there are smarter people than me that do that.As it stands he is mid as far as I can see.
**edit we had 4doom to crush revivers if that is a thing

I've been largely using him in PVE, but I'm finding the Hellfire tiles very useful. Sure, goons overwrite them with their own tiles, but you're spamming them onto the board constantly it doesn't really matter.
In PVP it's probably a different story, but I still strongly suspect that you'll only be seriously handicapped against the serious tile spammers like Polaris or Coulson. Everyone else will mitigate, but hardly nullify Mephisto.

You can thank me later.
Also hello, just in case anyone has missed me.4 -
I love it, 3 posts in a row with completely different evaluations!
We'll find out who's right, but probably not for awhile. I do think Mephisto is a really interesting character that has a chance to be very useful and widely used.

Oh, my Mephisto is 467 -- I was opening up a lot of LTs anyway and managed to finish my dupe Hellcat this morning. Under normal circumstances I would have spread that throughout the season, but since I could get extra covers for Mephisto I just plain did it.
At that level he doesn't hit quite hard enough to be a monster, but you do get a lot of Hellfire tiles out there and they trigger a often. I think he's going to be quite good at 550 and unless I'm proven wrong I intend to get him as high as I can.
So yeah, fwiw I agree with you.

Explain which bit?
Hello is how we greet each other ( no we don't say tally ho pip pip to each other in the uk, or wear bowler hats)
Someone might of missed me I used to be quite a big deal in these forums I had fans quite literally in their fives.
And the team suggestion is simply that, I'm not ordering anyone about what is and isn't right, that was that other guy.0 -

That's only the street urchins and chimney sweeps of our fine capital in the sunny South, proper gentleman say "Salutations on this fine morning, might I interest you in the pursuance of a cup of Earl Grey at Mrs. Miggins Ye Olde Eaterie?"
I'm not sure what happens up Th' North, they may not actually have any streets.

Ah, sorry. I had seen a 60's era documentary about the chimney sweeps of London and I had assumed that all of the UK was in fact London.

Ah, sorry. I had seen a 60's era documentary about the chimney sweeps of London and I had assumed that all of the UK was in fact London.
It used to be! After the success of Mary Poppins, the UK government initiated it's "Sweeps for Keeps!" social engineering policy that introduced Chimney Sweeps and loveable urchins to all corners of the UK (apart from Scotland because chimney sweeps only vulnerability is Tartan clothing), it was thought that this could provide a uniform UK for visitors and investors alike, sure of the experience they would be getting! They were sent out in a fleet of Double Decker buses. Each region also got a duplicate Queen.
But it soon went wrong - the Cornish Urchins revolted and formed their own country, the Manchester sweeps were too busy saying "Alright, our kid?" to be cheeky and chirpy and the Welsh Urchins were lost in the Hills with the sheep. Nobody remembered to check what was happening in Birmingham. It was a disaster! Japanese visitors taking a cut price stay in Leeds expecting an authentic London urchin experience were confused when everybody had a flat cap and pigeons and the Queen greeted them by saying "Eh up lads, want some biscuits?"
The above national crisis led to "Operation Blackout" where the SAS were despatched to round them all up and they were all eventually deposited in Dagenham, Essex under the guard of US troops who had pretended to set up a Ford Car Factory but it was really to keep the chimney sweeps under control.
All of this has been top secret...until now...

Crystal and Wong are just standing there baffled by what's going on as the coaches banter on in colloquialisms.

Two more interesting data points on Hellfire tiles. They're not major boosts, but they're still kind of neat.
- Hellfire tiles have a chance to appear whenever you add or convert basic tiles to the board. I've definitely seen Phoenix's purple add Hellfire tiles (maybe just from the TUs? I'm not sure about that, her power says "convert basic or TUs to red.")
- Because they hit a random target, Hellfire tiles will hit invisible enemies.
So yeah, Mephisto is yet another counter to that damnable Leapfrog support...
