Besides this is Mephisto, don't trust anything until you see it with your own eyes and then double check!

It’s blade. Another one I stupidly ascended early, put your house on it.Same for me. Ascended him before I knew about the 5 star consequences.
If it is him, favorite him when you pull Legendaries. Well worth it in that first week.

Maybe GE Doom and Victorious can get a glow up here at some point; also Anti-Venom, so you can have a whole team of heal-hurters.Anti-Venom is so terrible that I always forget he even exists.
Like when I'm complaining about them buffing decent characters instead of the dregs, I always go "what about spider woman and 5* black widow" when I should really be saying "what about Anti-Venom." That dude is the absolute worst.

Both Blade and Hellcat are the feeders.. (immediately change favorite to hellcat)

My Hellcat is 369.
Do you think it is worth pushing and opening lot of tokens (latest, classic, headpool, zombies, mighty...) to try and double dip?I have 37k CP and 375 LT, so can 550 Agatha and him in a few months if I wish

Does anoyne have a HellKitty (5* ascended) lvl-reward list for levels 450 - 475 that they could post in here?

Just played him with Wong and 1/2 Thor against the hardest mode and even with only a few covers, that team tore through them with barely a scratch.

Curious when you say "against the hardest mode". Are you referring to SCL10 for Simulator? And, if so, does that include the Carnage/BRB/Hella FU on the third day? Thanks so much.

Correct. I only have four colors for Mephisto and it still worked great.

Surely I'm not the only one who, when a character releases and you get all the covers and shards from feeders, that when you roster that character, the game gets unplayable. Like there's a shroud over the character. Only thing to do is to restart the game.

While you can't do anything "in game," if you hit the back button on your phone or tablet you will exit out of whatever it's trying to show you and is not working.

Ok, between my 370 and 320 Hellcat and my 485 Blade I got 451 Mephisto. So what the heck, I made a team of him, 5★ Vulture, and Headpool and brought him to the last node on the Zombie event to maximize those sweet, sweet community points. Because I'm playing SCL 10 my opponents were all level 450. Here are some observations:
Ok, first off, I lost - I made it to the 3rd wave but was nickeled and dimed down to dead by then. Still, I was bringing along a 271 Headpool (I've been leveling my 2★ Headpool to use in DPDQ.) Mephisto and 5★ Vulture overlap in 2 colors. It was a very poorly maximized team.
The hellfire tiles appear to be neutral overlay tiles. I noticed both myself and the enemy team over-writing them with any kind of special. They're basically red "Shrapnel" tiles (the ones made by Victor Mancha.) MThor almost certainly won't target them especially, but will blow them up at the same rate as basic tiles. They get removed a lot.
Despite that, they multiply pretty quickly and you can get a lot on the board a short amount of time. The damage was pretty small for the scaling I was in, but it was pretty much constant - it triggered on his blue, at the end of the turn, and most importantly when anyone matched a hellfire tile (i.e. three hellfire tiles is three triggers.) When he's boosted or when he's paired with damage boosts (strikes, Okoye, Apoc, etc.) it will probably get very, very nasty.
Mephisto's black did build nicely against regenerators like Daken. Also, his purple, as other people noted, feeds his black damage too. It may get egregious against someone like Crystal or Melinda May, who do a lot of burst heal. We'll have to see.
I'll do more experimenting, but he looks pretty good. Probably what I'd consider A or maybe S tier - he'll have his value when boosted or with (or against) the right team.

Any plans to ascend your hellcat to double dip on Mephisto covers/shards? I am 50/50 on ascending her.

That's a very good question. I was hoarding Legendary pulls for most of last season - my Kaine was as high as I wanted him and I don't like 5Nova, so I figured I'd blow a lot this season to get my Hotpool done (I'm shooting for around 500) and Agatha started, then hoard through next season. I do have a 370 Hellcat but my second was exactly halfway.
So I decided to switch my favorite to her and see where I get. It will almost certainly be worth it to "double dip," though it would take a lot of pulls to get my second to 370, the extra Mephisto rewards will probably be worth loosing out on those tail end rewards. I can tell you for certain by next Wednesday!

I was just complaining the other day about how Chasm is blue but doesn't have a blue power/tank blue tiles.
Mephisto is even worse! He's 100% red, AND he makes tiles with a fire overlay AND his tile icon is fire, but his colors are black/purple/blue.
I'm going to be confused by this situation probably forever.

Scarlet Witch has no red power and it's in her name! Same with the Green Goblin!

I put my Mephisto at 4/3/3. He feels a little more different than I originally thought (which is why I love testing these things).
Thoughts:
- the black doesn’t seem nearly as strong as I originally thought because of the % based increase really isn’t a lot at all.
- the blue is the real deal. The HF tiles will be EVERYWHERE. And because the new ones spread right next to the old one, the AI or you can match them easily for more damage. Without a booster or a strike-maker, the damage is manageable. But with a booster/strike maker? Holy ****. And if stunned, they have to eat all of it.
With 5* Daredevil, Mephisto feels lovely. With Okoye, Mephisto is devastating.
