I would love to do activate each of hotpool's abilities 20 times but because you made PVP unplayable with Supports and Mthor is boosted for his PVP and everyone is using her so no thanks.

Shame the passive part of hotpools red doesn't count as an activation when it goes off in PVP.

Couple of options for this. If you've unlocked him just take him into SHIELD Sim. It's what I've been doing so I don't need to sweat as much during his PvP. Otherwise take him in with mThor and Shang and board control that thing so you can fire a couple off each match. Take your lumps early and then play it serious once you've knocked them all off.

Agree that mThor makes things very not fun though.

These events were all horrifically boring. The problem was that the characters they featured got the "mini" boost (the same one they use for boss fights, for whatever reason) -- it's like +10 levels.

Functionally they were just sim. None of the boosted guys were anywhere near the "meta" characters.

I'd love to see these again, but they need to either update them to use the normal +100lvl boost, or use character lockouts, so you can't just run Chasm/Colossus/Omega Red and win everything in the Avengers event, or Women of Marvel.

I used to enjoy that one that was 1 on 1.

ya It's MThor's passive Blue which I have a huge dislike for. No I don't have him unlocked. Also MThor makes Shield Sim sucky too. I'd rather wait for hotpool to hit the LL

Why not start having Welcome to SHIELD events for new 5* too. It's a more convienent way to test out the character.

yes I was thinking this great way to do the do 20 abilities when they don't give us a free cover of the 5 star and get small amount of shards for it too

I’m assuming the pending Claws for Concern PvP will have the real boost we are now accustomed to, but I guess we’ll see.

The devs have previously said they were interested in running these older off season or special pvps, but maybe the work to tweak the boost list and/or boost levels is one reason they haven’t.

These events may have been boring for you, but they were quite popular with players looking for something different during the off season. I always looked forward to them and seeing Claws for Concern on the schedule is what prompted the solicitation for more.

I agree that none of the boosted characters were near meta. That wasn't the point nor has it ever been, even for special-themed events like these. Snowball Fight became a seasonal event over the winter holidays, and Evergreen (not mentioned originally) was a welcome respite from the same tired events. Similarly, PVP Matchmaking and Best Friends became regular events, particularly during Valentine's Day. None of these events were SIM since the featured characters were required, thus reducing the player's choice from Pick-3 to Pick-2.

With ascension today, regardless if the featured characters get a full boost, the dynamics and character interactions can change quite a bit. I intentionally left out Balance of Power and Combined Arms from my original list, because, let's face it, ascension along with the weekly boosts essentially means players are in BOP and CA mode indefinitely.

Same sentiment towards the Class of 20XX events. I'm hoping they bring it back this year.

They don't even need to run all 10 years. Just toss one out randomly like lightning rounds. Running one of these during boss events would be perfect as there's usually not much to do aside from puzzle gauntlet.

I remember liking those too, either because they locked out characters or they used the +100 lvl boost (I don't remember which)!

Lockout. You can only use characters released in that year.

It's great for long time vets who have the 2013-2015 characters all champed and at high levels but awful for anyone who joined in the last 5-6 years who lack those characters.

Lockout would greatly benefit these without the boost.

Really though should of been 10 times each I don't I fired off his **** more then 4 times with thor hogging all of the ap to cast their ****

Having those run simultaneously with the season was great! Got me a huge bank of cp which hasn't dipped below 3k since. I really hope they run those again.

I haven’t started the CfC PvP but have heard supports are not active in it.
