This whole thread says so much about the game.

I saw someone this week in a competitive ally say an ally mate quit recently because Aunt May made pve boring and they don’t like supports in PvP.

Buckle up, everyone. It’s gonna be bumpy. The landing may not be soft.

Aunt May makes PvE boring because they can't compete against her speed wise or because they feel compelled to have to use her?

Presumably they felt compelled to use her. The T10 folks are basically locked into using their 550 Mays from this point forward.

Unless they release a character who can do what she does without burning boosts I guess.

Game has been through many, many rounds of such. IME, a person who takes a break has been wanting to take said break, and is just looking for an externality to assign it to, something, anything to serve as a springboard. It's silly, but humans are silly. Just ... take a break. So many other games and things to do in life! If unhappy with something, don't wait for a reason, being unhappy is the reason.

I have plenty of laundry to fold, can cover plenty of soft landings :D

She's boring because you hit one button and win the the match.

I noted this in another thread, I used the team and after 15 minutes I placed 31st in my sub. It is ridiculous and stupid.

All I did was start the match then hit her red. It was stupid and boring and a waste of time.

The game should not function like this.

I'm hearing Chasm doesn't shut down supports. Are you guys sure the supports just didn't fire?

Meant to say this in my other post.

Chasm does NOT shut down supports, free AP or otherwise. They all fire as normal.

It's been blocking the AP gain on my supports when I go against him. I'm using him against opponents with start of battle support abilities and it's been shutting them down to. He doesn't prevent supports from working at all, just seems like he only affects the at start of battle affects similar to how he counters characters start of battle effects like beta Ray Bill and his multiple protect tile placement

Are you sure? I saw banners for my supports fire at the start of battle against him, even though my team was stunned.

Oh no...is he acting differently on offense vs on defense?

I think people are just forgetting that they only fire xx% of the time. I have 2 green and 2 purple supports that are at R5 and I'll use both of each on certain teams, so 2 supports that fire 80% of the time you'd think 1 would always fire right? Nope! Quite often both will not fire.

The chance of 2 80% supports not firing is 1/5*1/5 = 1/25 or 4%. I don't consider 4% quite often, but rather a rare event (ie in your initial clears in PvE we do 30 nodes so it should happen roughly once).

    KGB

Right but that's over an infinite amount of time. You can have streaks where it doesn't fire 5 or 6 times in one pve grind/clears.

May be pedantic, but I've always thought turn 0 wins occur before you have a chance to do anything. As soon as you can fire a power or make a move it's turn 1, turn 0 is when all start of battle & turn effects trigger in my head.

In that spirit, Chasm + Totem Dagger, ascended rocket & Groot, and either Thanos will win all the easy nodes except for waves.

I spent a good 3-4 months at least without using MThor or Okoye just because it started making things a little too easy. There are definitely ways to keep the game interesting for yourself & try out other options, but it does involve ignoring placement.

I don't believe turn 0 wins are possible by your definition. Is there any character who can win a fight without either firing a power or moving the board?

The general definition of "turn 0 win" in this context is winning the fight without moving the board. A turn 1 win would be winning on the first move you make.

There definitely aren't many, but the team I listed can do it on easy nodes. The Totem Dagger does a little damage when you make a web tile, which Chasm does at the start of battle. Ascended Rocket's strikes will get that over 7K & when that downs them Thanos will do about 11-12K AoE to the rest. You win before you even have a chance to interact.

I don't expect to change anyone's mind, I get how the term is used. I've just always thought it was funny that apparently it's not turn 1 until after you make your first move & end your turn lol.

Chasm makes webs at battle start?

I tried some Main Event based teams to get a no-move win on easy nodes, like with Rocket and Thanos or Juggernaut, but it wasn’t a gauranteed cascade on grand entrance.

Totem Dagger creates 1 per turn for 2 turns as the synergy perk. Might be more at a higher level but mine is only at 100.

Some of these ascended and boosted health pools are insane though. Saw a 3* IM40 5* max boosted during the lightning rounds this week. 1,057,104 health at lvl 783. Is it even possible to one shot that much damage?

SC can deal that much if you get lucky, my current best is 2.4M with his purple... But it would be hard to do that turn zero

2.4M?? Wow...I was happy when I hit 400K with his purple.

If there is a match 5 on the starting board and you use it, is that still a turn 0 win?

    No.

The idea of this is speed and reliability in PvE. Starting every fight with a match-5 on the board isn't very reliable, but also making a move, waiting for a cascade, criticals to resolve, etc is significantly slower than pressing an "I win" button.

I encountered my first opponent in pvp running the aunt may and Emma with red supports team. On their first turn they hit me with... psychic flames.

Really? Considering the boosted 5* health totals in pvp this seems ambitious.

Make fun of the poor AI .... insert one of those "I want to be able to script my team on defense" threads.

You know how lazy I have become when even turn o wins is too much

Even with one hit kills pve not worth it

Doubt it would happen on defence so too stupid to play it lol 🤣
