Who will be Rebalanced due to Champion 2.0?

Since Champion 2.0 is giving us an opportunity to ascend lower tiered characters up-to 5-Star, who do you think will be Rebalanced (nerfed) as a result?

[There are many more characters to consider across all tiers but the poll only allows 10 choices]

Once the thousands of things this will break gets fixed, Polaris is first up.

When I read the info on Champing 2.0 and they said rebalances are on the table for anyone my first thought was Polaris. Polaris is fine now because she has no health and gets squashed by 5 star match damage. She might actually be a nuisance with 5 star health levels.

I would guess multiples from that list, and possibly all of them if we're counting up and down rebalances.

Being able to promote 2* and 3* just creates another round of buffs they need to put on the list. The one I saw on this list is Hood -- the one thing he does is pretty useless these days, and his other powers are terrible.

It was pretty easy before to say "eh, he's a 3*, who even cares," and I DIDN'T care, at all. But now he's in a position where he might actually matter, if he wasn't hot garbage.

Of the ones you listed, 4-star Vulture and Polaris are both probably bonkers with 5 star boosts.

Honestly, Vulture is probably more broken than Polaris in a weird way. They have been avoiding infinite airborne in the 5-star tier. Champ your Archangels now?

I’ll also throw 1-star Spidey in the mix, though 1-star to 5-star ascensions are probably very far away from being relevant.

From what IceIX said in one of the later posts (page 6 or 7 regarding Ares), they can rebalance the ascended character without doing anything to the non-ascended version. That's because the ascension creates a whole new character (a truly 5* Rogue because she gets 5* match damage and power curves etc) separate from the original.

So they may need to adjust 5* Polaris but that won't affect 4* Polaris.

2* widow’s additional match damage is boosted by Okoye/Apoc, unlike 4* juggernaut. I’m curious how that will scale against Penance Fare?

Spider-Man 2099 is another one in that camp.

There are actually a lot of 4s that would terrorize the 5* tier if given level parity I think.

Yeah this is all kind of ironic after an entire run of Spider characters all of who failed to do anything with web tiles in the 5* tier we can now just make our own ascended one and have a web tile fest.

The 5* tier is missing purple batteries in a big way, but they exist at lower tiers in the form of Switch, Miles, probably others i can't think of. I'm also curious what happens with a 5* Magneto (marvel Now!) and a 5* Hawkeye (modern), or bringing Captain Marvel (ms marvel) and her 9 team up creation up to 5* play with Okoye. It really might change things some to elevate some of these characters up. Imagine a 5* Coulson running with Hawkeye and any of the 5s that really want blue that have come out recently. Or a jumped up 4* Professor X with Shang-Chi creating 4x red probably ever time you do anything along with that additional big head damage.

I actually think this is going to make designing new characters a little more challenging. Nobody is going to get excited for new 4* or 5* characters with stuns unless they are better than the ones you can scale up from lower levels - Scarlet Witch will be terrifying. Maybe it might be a good thing in pushing the Devs to find news things to introduce.

I'm going to be very curious how much this ultimately affects PVP. If every event has the possiblity of being a 3x 5* event, it is going to be health pack bloodbath.
