NEW FEATURE - Champions 2.0
Announcing a brand new leveling system that can ascend all of your heroes and villains to new heights.
More details to come soon!
Looking forward to being lied to again about how this has been highly requested just like auto-fire.
Auto-fire admittedly does not fill me with confidence.
Marvel Future Revolution (may it rest in peace--it was a beautiful game) had a really interesting mode in which your pre-built team fought other players' pre-built teams entirely on autopilot. It sounded terrible on paper but ended up being an interesting way to judge your customized characters' strengths and weaknesses. But auto-fire here... isn't that. I think I might be interested in seeing a completely automatic match to watch how the AI plays my team (might give some insight to defensive lineups), but just auto-fire is... weird. I'm still trying to figure out its purpose.
I'm probably overreacting here, but I really am nervous that whatever this new overhaul is will change the game in ways that make me not want to play it.
But seriously, let's see what they've got.
I am getting a strong BUE-vibe (if you know, you know) for it... God, I hope I am wrong.
Bring it on. I'm half-retired. What's the worst that could happen - I fully retire? I for one welcome my soon-to-be 5* Queen Polaris.
I mean, what’s the worst that could happen?

But I do not know and now I want to know... Googling is not helping!
Wonder how long they are going to wait to give the details..... After autofire update my confidence is low, but I really don't have super high expectations, so whatever happens happens.
I'm not worried. Other games I've played have had similar systems, but characters that are upgraded from 1 star to a higher star were never as strong as ones that were naturally that high (lower HP and stats).
I'm betting that if a character isn't naturally a 5 star they'll have a lower level cap as well. I very much doubt that 1 star iron man converted into a 5 star will be able to reach 550.

We were nervous when Champion was originally teased and that worked out. This 2.0 looks interesting. If I can lift 2* Black Widow to a 5*, then she's already better than the current 5*
I’m sure it can’t be worse but only better - and probably difficult to get more levels
As long as it doesn't add to my iso debt...
This is the kind of news that doesn't need a teaser. You just give people anxiety while they speculate what in the world might happen. You shouldn't just hint that the fundamentals of the game may be about to radically change; just tell us once you have actual information to share.
Ideally they'd outline a proposal and ask for feedback, do playtesting, etc. before forcing it on all users and then have to scramble if/when there's a backlash.
But... I guess we'll see? ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Been playing since 2013 and I really am excited by this one. LOVING IT.
Looks like my strategies will be changing for the better. and in more interesting ways.
Games needs a radical shakeup, so I'm hype for it.
Whatever it is, I wonder if we will get a shardmas kind of reward
If it’s what I think it is then it’s going to be a massive overhaul of the game and duplicates could be a rarer requirement as we’ll be trying to level up our characters to 550
Either way I hope we don’t have to wait too long

Think I saw this point of view somewhere in another thread. Needless to say, I agree with it.
Erm...maybe just wait until they actually tell us what this is about and what's going to happen? This is like asking people how terrified they are of a 5* that will be released in summer 2024.
Love the idea of promoting any tier character all the way up to the 5 star tier because there are interesting characters at lower tiers who would nicely play in the 5 star tier.
But I have a funny feeling that's not what we are going to get. I would not be the least bit surprised if they just raised the champ level cap by say 50 levels on all tiers and add champ rewards to the 1 star tier (say 50 levels like 2 stars are now).
KGB
As I said in the other channel where the conversation began, I suspect we'll be able to turn 4 stars into 5 stars as well. Or atleast in time. I remember so many times someone said "Great character 5 star character" but ended up being 4 star. Suddenly those characters are now 5 stars. 5 star Legion!
Honestly I feel certain it includes 4 stars because many people have commented on 4 star characters saying how much they wished they were 5 stars. Additionally, for veteran players 4 stars don't really matter unless their Feeders are good. So the ability to upgrade 4 stars to 5 stars, means suddenly both new 3 stars and 4 stars can be very useful to even late game 5 star players.
The downside however and what I fear. Is Champion levels only get so high by duplicate covers. So the question is how many 4 star covers would you need to upgrade them to 5 star?
