I agree with that. The problem is not just Danitha and Kiora. You can also make an infinite loop with Jodah + Rocco + Olivia. And Bladecoil Serpent with Cut Your Losses and Charms and Meeting allows long loops.
Rocco allows too many combos. Standard will expand with 4 more sets and loops will come back. It should be nerfed.
Bladecoil Serpent is just simply too powerful and should be nerfed hard.But not just a little nerf like the one Ajani PMA got.

I agree with almost all that has been so eloquently and respectfully said.
I'd add two things here that frustrate me as a long time player (several years):
. I don't like the ranking system. My score puts me on second place right now in Seize the Day, yet it ranks me 11th. Is there a defendable reason to do this?
. The rewards upon leveling my profile Planeswalker are almost laughable. Please make the pack at least an all non duplicate or even just a one non duplicate standard (rare+) card and change the runes to a gold reward and keep the purple reward for the 5 levels. This system has been put into place to reward players that keep playing, then please make it an actual reward instead of something that seems to make fun of our effort.
. I'd suggest more events with limited card pools, like block events or events like Seize the Day. They still provide incentive for long time player to collect cards and devise new strategies, or could reward players with extensive legacy collections to actually play with some of the cards that are simply useless in the complete set of legacy cards, when made available to choose from.Oktagon, reading all these respectful and eloquently written response, it shows you have a very mature and dedicated fan base. I hope you realize and value that. The least we deserve is a straight answer about your intentions. Do you still have the means and will to address issues? Or has it been decided that this is it? Please don't ghost us.

I'll add my agreement to the points others have made here, and hope it's seen as more than just rabble rousing.
These are dark times indeed- our coalition has lost many players in only a few months, both veteran and newer. The complaints in our chat mirror what this thread is discussing, and those who quit simply could not overlook them.

Between a few different coalitions, we have the vast majority of active users in this game all on Discord. Everyone uses or references Discord for any information with PQ. There have been a lot of complaints which most will not waste time posting here as the trust has fallen dramatically with the community. I still love the game myself, although all the issues are wearing on everyone. I am in chore mode with the game and have not quit yet as I am in a top 10 guild. I really hope you take all these posts seriously if the end goal is to keep the game alive and maybe some of those dropping out of the game now will want to come back.

Just another voice to ask for an auto-limit on triggers by default on all card designs. Nothing should trigger more than 10? times per turn. Most things no more than 3.

One more voice of a launch veteran throwing in with opper. I would like the game to be healthy and fun for me - profitable for you. The game has to always be both, or it will fall apart. Without new players staying and with old players leaving, the result seems simple. I imagine you are as stretched thin as many of the rest of us.
There are many things to correct, but this is an excellent one to start with. It has to start somewhere though, or things will continue until collapse.

I agree with a lot of the above.
I have stopped reporting bugs because I feel it is a waste of time.
I have argued against combo/loop deck, because they kill experimentation with new and old cards.
I don’t support you regularly, because it doesn’t feel reasonable given the current state of the game.2 -
Wow. Just got a message from support acknowledging the problem and thanking me for my diligence reporting the issue! I have been awarded 1 mana jewel for my efforts.
I do not know why, but that makes me really angry. Much angrier than I was in the first place. @Oktagon_Support please remove that 1 mana jewel from my account—it’s insulting.

You just saved yourself from having to go perfect across 12-14 games in a "competitive" event.

I’ll be honest, nerfing these problem cards is necessary, but it won’t get me back into this game. The sheer number of bugs and the years upon years of utter disdain for the player base (both in ignoring bugs and eating away at prizes) needs to be rectified, or it really doesn’t matter at all.
Nerfing these combos just takes us out of the nosedive and back into a crash-and-burn that’s been reality for the past few years.

Agree with Opperstamper. I have been playing since the beginning of this game in 2016 and enjoying its growth. But now I have noticed a lack of caring about the players' enjoyment by the developers. This is disappointing 😞 😕 and so, therefore, I no longer care to participate.

Is there any news to share? I know it's not Friday yet, but being early in the second half of the week would definitely be a sign of best intentions. It's clear that we shouldn't expect any changes before the weekend's coalition event, you'll have to set the action plan in motion first. I'm hoping that a positive reply will help players to remain patient and not drop out before The Kamigawa Run. We really need the good news.2 -

Also thanks to @Oktagon_Support for making sure we feel that we're heard. I really wish we wouldn't need a panic button, but this is definitely a turn back into the right direction. Keep it up!

Fixing the loops is definitely a start; something is better than nothing. I still can't get overly excited when they wait months to fix a problem, and it basically took a player revolt on the forums to get them to do so.
It doesn't change the fact that:
- Their event rewards have gone to poop in the past year;
- Their event DESIGN has gone to poop in the past year, with every weekday event being an iteration of "win this color node to unlock the next one, all while meeting random node requirements and the order not changing except for the first color," and their weekend events all being a variation of "two nodes, perma-supports people don't use, so you can win 40 golds 5 pinks and 3 packs (plus 3 more packs if you manage to get a perfect score);"
- That event streak was only broken by the new MoM set in that they didn't bother to make ANY events to support it;
- They have three different currencies, one of which is useless for anyone other than brand new players;
- They have a Story Mode that hasn't been updated in EIGHT YEARS;
- Their Daily Quest system is a joke in both the rewards and the quests themselves (including occasionally one for Story Mode wins);
- A Seasons event mode that was promised, what, last November?
- Tons of Quality of Life improvements that have been requested for years.
So yeah, you'll have to forgive my lack of enthusiasm.

I like the balancing changes and am looking forward to the new ranking system, but I agree with irstofhisname419, in that there is still a ton of issues. I want to add my opinion:
I dislike the rewards structure. Every new event the same as the last one.
Runes are useless (at least some cosmetics, more deck slots or something).
The reward for completing quests is in most cases just more useless runes. I want something to look forward and to strive for; even a single guaranteed non-dupe legacy card if you complete all the quest tracks in a month would go a long way. Or make a fun and goofy event you can join only if you completed some number of quests or something like that.
There is still a lot of cards that are unfun in current standard. Bladecoil is the first that comes to mind.
PMA, I feel like the improved gems should get a second look. Red is mostly meaningless, green is bugging the game out, but at least its symmetrical, black is fun and interesting but weak and asymmetrical, blue is unfun, too powerfull and asymmetrical and white is only relevant because the PMA Ajani is ridiculous even after the nerf. It seems very hard for most players to get those cards, which makes the whole idea kind of pointless, even though it is very cool and interesting. If the mechanics were to be more balanced, I would love to see them sprinkled in the regular sets.
The way aquiring cards works makes it so that opening packs never really feels rewarding. It is at the same time too hard and too easy to acquire cards. When I spend 300-ish of my crystals to get a pack of the latest set and all I get is duplicates is very frustrating. At the same time, I still need to do that, because I still want the cards I don't have from the set. Once I have all the rares, opening packs I got from an event feels like a chore. I would really like to see a way to recycle packs I don't want, again something as simple as cosmetics would go a long way. Or at least give me an instant open button.
The token animation (and some other animations) is really annoying to sit through (especially with cards like tainted adversary).And PLEASE DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WOTC IS DOING and keep standard rotation the way it was until now.

Imma get mad hate for this.. but I love loops and broken AF cards. I like playing them, i like discovering broken combos, i like looking through discord seeing other peoples broken builds, I like target farming/grinding to obtain them. Hell, i even like losing to them. It makes the game a little more interesting knowing you could just get thrashed at any moment.
Please keep doing wild loops and broke things!
