Totally agree with all that’s been posted here.
It seems the game is past it’s sell by date.

However, we want to assure you that our team is putting in their best efforts to resolve this issue as soon as possible.’Would seem the ‘best efforts aren’t cutting the mustard or it is a case of nobody gives a hoot.
Have seen first hand several long term top players Drop the game in due to the apparent don’t care attitude to problems.

Rebeca.I'm glad that we caught your attention, and thanks for your reply.
But in all honesty, this is part of the problem as I see it. Do we need to shake up radically before we're heard? Is there a reason for that? And most important: what can be done to change this sentiment?
And please don't just address these "win buttons". Of course we'll be happy to get rid of them, but don't ignore the bugs paragraph in my post. It's critical to regain trust in bug reporting, otherwise we're still stuck with a broken and frustrating game.

This makes it sound as you have not had these issues brought to you pre today !

I agree as well. But my frustration has begun a loooong time ago, since I realized that this game has a ridiculous rank (and prizes) system, where you can easily fall from podium if you miss just a couple of ribbons..
Beside that, the latest broken card combos, the nasty shuffler plus all the bugs, are the major cause of frustration and quitting.And we are talking about people who used to love this app, this game, who spent a lot of time (and money, in some cases), built a vast card collection, communities.. For these people is not easy to quit, and if they are doing it, it's because this game has become unplayable.

That rank system is the exact reason we need more players, not less. More players = more bracket flips = better distribution.
That's probably not the full story, but it's a start. I agree all player satisfactory issues should be addressed, but that list is long. Let's keep that for the next ruckus we'll make 🙂

Rebeca.I used to report lots of bugs and tried to help as much as I can but I haven't cared about the game in a long time. I stopped playing daily since last December and have only been playing on the weekends because I like my coalition, not the game due to all of the reasons that so many players have already mentioned here.
The fix is super easy and it can be done really soon. You just have to want to do it.
What do all of these meta warping and fun destroying cards have in common? They all have "Enter The Battlefield" effects. Danitha is an ETB, Goddo is an ETB and with Kiora-Rocco we have Rocco which is also an ETB. Cards that give you full mana to something else should NEVER HAVE an Enter The Battlefield effect because it can be heavily abused and create this boring and stale metas. Just change all those effects to "When you cast this creature" effects and we can all go back to playing Magic: Puzzle Quest instead of the nonsense game we have been playing during 2023 where we try to get your infinite combo pieces down before Greg can.

I've been playing this game since just after it came in out in 2016. It has gotten me through some rough times. I'm no whale, but I have spent probably $200+ in that timeframe on this game and I don't regret it because of how much I've enjoyed playing. Maybe my opinion doesn't matter because I don't pay $30/no for VIP. Maybe Oktagon only cares about the whales.
But I 100% agree with @Opperstamper . The toxicity is making this game near unplayable. I am so sick of seeing @Oktagon_Support reply with "We're looking into it" and "I'll share this feedback." It's becoming more and more obvious over the years that they do not care about anything we have to say, and it's getting worse with every release.
Prove me wrong. Do something, anything, to show that Oktagon listens and takes action on player feedback. Please.

I am going to leave my opinion here as it seems most appropriate. I am having serious deja vu here: The stagnant meta from a few toxic combos making things miserable for anyone who doesn't have the cards,The limited rotation of events, The plague of bugs, Long time players leaving en masse, Me considering joining them. All this harkens back to the era at the end of Hibernum's run. It doesn't speak well to the direction of the game. I know that this cannot be an easy platform, magic is notoriously rules dense, and the programming must be a nightmare, let alone unintended interactions under all the cards flying at each other. But infinite fetch loops are a known problem, and many of the previous solutions would be applicable. Recall the fall of Hibernum, learn the lessons that history demands or be prepared for it to repeat.

I am glad to notice so many members of the game's community have chosen to speak out and express their frustrations with the current state of the game. I add my voice in solidarity and hope that with some work and common sense, most or all of the issues mentioned here are addressed and resolved.
Something that BlackPhoenix members, as well as all the other MtGPQ collectives represented here, are aware of is the simple fact that players are our most important asset. They are also YOUR most important asset, Oktagon, as they are the ones who keep this game more or less profitable. Unhappy players benefit no one except those who root for this game to dissappear.
Hopefully his conversation does not end here. It would benefit both you and us to keep our communication channels open, to share our concerns and suggestions. Let's make MtGPQ great again!

I have been playing this game since the literal only thing to do was grind Training Grounds for 1st place every day. It's been increasingly harder to motivate myself to play over the past couple years—as other commenters have put it, it feels like work. I don't need my games to a be a chore.
I don't need to have razor-thin margins for missing charges in Coalition events when you could just as easily have the number of charges be uncapped for those of us who can't play every day of the weekend but still want to participate. I've had to drop from a Top 10 Coalition to Top 25, Top 50, Top 100, Developmental, Try to Show Up, and now finally just a It's Here If You Ever Want To Play Coalition. But I don't. I don't ever want to play. Because the last dozen times I've gotten psyched up about participating in a weekend event, that excitement has lasted an average of 1 game before something happened to ruin it. Game locked up. Got run over by a 10-mythic deck the week a new set came out. Lost to a degenerate loop deck. Lost while stalling trying to fulfill some uninspired bonus objective that doesn't even register properly...
I just opened the game. There are currently 4 things you can do. They all have an entry fee. There is currently nothing free to do, not even Training Grounds. What kind of cash grab has this game become?4 -
I agree with everything above. There is no good for your own intrest to have a "I need no more cards" loop in standard game, ppl just stop invest in game.

I used to play EVERY single event to max rewards and was vip 24... now I canceled my vip and only play coalition events... which to be honest is a chore.. I do it because I respect the community I'm involved in.. I wish the game developers would respect the community that plays their game the same....
I'm in the minority when I say I am not bothered by any of the combos.. I don't mind getting turn 1ed every once and awhile... its magic it's suppose to happen.. but there is no denying it is killing the casual player base.. what's killing it for me personally is there is no new content.... new cards within as set just isn't enough epically when the only way to unlock them is Trial of.the planes.. no new block related events no new fun pve events. No real innovation.... I've been playing this game like an addicted psycho since LAUNCH. Please don't let your biggest fans slip away...

Retroactively put a limit on the number of times an effect can take place, per turn, on all loop cards.
It's a lot of work, but consider the benefits. You could increase the attractiveness of new cards, allowing you to keep selling new cards.
Just increase the number of times per turn, if you want a new card to be more powerful.2 -
I’m in agreement with what has been so far. What I don’t get is you fixed the Rem/mechanized warfare combo quickly by nerf rem to only 3 times per turn. Why can’t that same solution be fir Danithlia.
Also o get you are trying be on par with WotWC but you don’t have to follow them on everything. I look forward to the rotation every year. It makes you play cards you have that you haven’t played before.

Thank you Rebecca for your above reply to this community. Even though I trust your word I'd still like to put in my 2 cents.
Overall, this is a very good opportunity for Okt. There are dozens of thorough, well put together and experienced players who are pouring their hearts into these comments. Take them seriously.
My specific issue with the game currently is having to neglect my favorite standard coalition decks that I've made and instead build decks to defend against Danitha + Blade... week after week. Not sure if the developers over there at Okt play the coalition events with as much dedication as we here do (2016 for me), but imagine having all these fun cards to play with, limitless options, one can make a deck their own and be proud of it and have fun with it.. but when it comes times to flex those decks and insert your personality into the game you have to trash all that fun and play 1 of 2 options.. anti-DaniBlade or DaniBlade. And then do that nearly every weekend for months on end. That would suck the fun out the game, wouldn't it? Well, it does. Please nerf the Dani-Blade combo.
Someone said that weekend coalition events are becoming a chore, I feel the same and we all will feel that way as long as Dani-Blade combo exists.
Lastly, general advice when dealing with the standard meta - do not allow any loops in standard, period. Make that a house rule for your team over there. Everyone should know it and then actively look for and listen to the player base when reported.
No Loops in standard. Ever. Please.

I totally support everything stated above. I apologise for my English in advance. I don't quit the game and still participate during weekends is not because the game is fun, but because of my love and huge respect to our coalition family. I cannot let the guys down. I try to still use my charges even if it is close to 2 am in the morning. It maybe sound strange, but my favourite event now is A World Reborn, since there are no stupid 'I win' loops. Dear Devs, it's really annoying to spend 30 mins on a match thinking that you've won and then have Danitha /Blade played against you. Recently it was almost a rage quit for me. I've been playing MPQ since 2018 and it is really sad how bad the situation is now. It even made me register here and leave a comment. Remember this meme from some riot, where a girl was holding a sign saying "It's so bad, even introverts are here"? This is the situation. First super annoying this was this Ajani (still annoying even after you tried to fix), now these endless loops. And by the way, almost all PvP event matches are Ajanis and Dakkons.
