I love Goblin, he’d be great for my play style with modern health. I’d love it further if his yellow proc’d repeaters in bulk too.

He's one where they could just give him modern match damage and health and probably call it a day.

The downside on his black is probably slightly too harsh, but it does a ton of damage so I don't mind it too much.

Some of the modes on his purple are significantly less useful than others, but the flavor is cool and regardless, you can just cast it on red every time anyway for good damage.

His yellow...well, it'd be nice if they gave it a reason to be more than 3 covers!

I always though it would be great if while his “glider was away”, another power would supplant it. Perhaps a way to feed his purple and even other colors, or even adding a stun, or burst heal.

Almost as if the player on defense would have to consider whether to let him keep his glider (aka not match the cd) or face the consequence of his new skill.

I’d like an “out of arrows” style switch as well. Goblin is proficient in hand to hand combat due to the serum giving him enhanced strength and reflexes. Could play that up some.

I've always wanted Pumpkin Bombs to be more chaotic. I figured it could work with a support, with the "synergy perk" being that any power fired drops a random countdown for him. Or maybe if it's a straight character buff, using his purple drops an extra countdown in one of the 5 colors you didn't choose. He's strong because he fortifies them, but it doesn't change the fact that countdowns are still kinda weak, so it'd be awesome if something could be done to make Goblin more terrifying.

I suggest turning his black cd into a character tile in the shape of a glider with a countdown, something like Silver Surfer's blackhole. All these character tiles are unique on the board and I think it's pleasing to the senses. Also, my impression is that his glider doesn't seem to be destroyed easily.

Goblin isn't really all that bad when boosted, he probably needs less work than most older 5s. When boosted his black still hits pretty darn hard. A decent health and match damage boost would be great.

I'm still hoping they rebalance  Banner sooner than later. He's got one of the more  unique and fun ability sets, just needs some decent tweaks and he could be a blast to play.

I think the reason they’re going after the Angels, Jeans and Robbie’s are that they are low hanging fruit. Meaning it does take as much developer time to change and/or test.  I think Goblin falls into this category perfectly. (Daredevil too!)

If the game mechanics are mostly the same and we’re just bumping numbers, they don’t have to worry about how said mechanics operate in the wild or interact with other characters. They just have to boost numbers to make them stronger.  Maybe change one power and test it (in the case of Ghost Rider).

Characters like Wasp or Kingpin will take significantly more time to fix as they may need complete overhauls to their kits which will take time to develop and test.  I’m glad they are at least going after the low hanging fruit rather than not tackling rebalances at all.

Hopefully these small buffs are accompanied by some other changes to even out the metagame.  I used boosted Robbie this event, at lvl610 or something, and he's finally good enough to beat the "meta" characters at 450.

He still trivially loses to them on defense, of course, but at least now he can beat characters 150 levels lower than him on offense!

This may be for another thread, but you seem to mention your struggle with the meta characters a lot. I don’t really struggle to beat unboosted Switch, Colossus, Polaris, BRB, Okoye, Thor, Apocalypse, Kitty, etc. at all using boosted 5s. In fact I target those teams over boosted opponents (given similar points) 10 times out of 10. I’m wondering if there’s something specific you struggle with that maybe we could help you out with? I don’t see many other people complaining about these top characters in the same way you do so maybe it’s not a problem with those characters specifically.  Yes the top are clearly better, but easily beatable if you have the right tools. Some have fewer weaknesses and some characters will match up better against others, but given the amount of characters in the game, you should have enough tools at your disposal to take on anyone (just not WITH anyone, which is okay as again this is a game of matchups).

I don't think it would be exaggerating to suggest that entrailbucket is often guilty of exaggerating.

Yeah, I'm not actually fighting the meta characters at 450 -- although to be fair, *plenty* of lvl600 boosted guys do struggle to win fights against meta 450s.

I'm generally fighting 100% unboosted "meta" characters at 550.

Lvl600-675 characters can certainly win those fights but it's pretty difficult, considering a 200 or so cumulative level advantage.

Definitely nothing, but someone who isn't getting the joke will probably report us for abusing each other.

Of course I'm exaggerating!  I'm literally always exaggerating.  I exaggerate more than anyone has ever, in the history of the world.  That doesn't mean there's no truth to it.  Lvl650+ guys lose to 450s on defense often.  Lvl650+ guys do struggle to beat 550 meta characters.

+100 level boosts should impact the metagame at the high end much more than they do.  They don't because the meta characters are 6*.  That's all.

Ha! I knew you would back down!!!!😉

I don't have lvl 650 characters so honestly cannot say but there are certain conditions in this game that allow cheap levelling up victories no matter what. Cheap stuns like Polaris, powers like Deadpool black which can punish you for damaging them. No doubt the sort of match up you are talking about should resolve in favour of the big guy 4 out of 5 but this game does let the little guy have a chance through cheaty powers and I don't see that ending.

I play the last hour or so of s2 every event.  If you're playing there, at that time, you'd have way bigger problems than me.
