Why not just keep doing the circuit until you figure it out???

Or the introduction of the feature whereby we send our units out to gather resources for us.

The extra grind wasn't worth what little additional support items Support Circuit rewarded.

Definitely eliminating placement style rewards and giving solely on progression, like Deadpools Daily would be terrific.
Going for progression rewards only, Support Circuit represented about a doubling in the rate of support pulls for players who aren't buying out vaults. Given, it's still a pretty slow drip, but that speaks more to the philosophy behind support drops than the rewards for this event. Without a major change to that philosophy, which I don't really expect, I'm not sure that any reward structure (except maybe just folding those rewards into existing PvE/PVP?) is going to feel satisfying if you didn't like what SC gave.

Glad its been removed. We didn't need another event where we had to clear 7 times for decent rewards.
This is a baffling concept to me to be honest. Respectfully, if you didn’t like it, it was optional. What benefit was there in removing the content that others might enjoy? It could have simply been replaced when/if it was revamped or reworked.

Perhaps you are part of an alliance that requires full participation in every event. I guess from that perspective it would make sense.
One unstated possibility is that they believe continuing to run the event hurts the bottom line.
They've continued to put out release vaults for new supports together with bundles offered for HP or CP while Support Circuit has been running.  If the income from those bundles and vaults has dropped but hasn't been replaced by equivalent income from Support Circuit (people buying vault tokens, health packs, etc), then stopping the event might be an attempt to reverse that trend.
I suspect any drops in sales are more likely linked to the change in odds for master support tokens.  Making a rank 3 support the most likely outcome of opening one of those tokens significantly reduces their value, especially when combined with the reduction in red iso for duplicates.

The Support reward structure looks to me to be designed to be a very slow progression model.  Veeerrry slow.  I guess that's obvious to most informed players.

We felt very frustrated for months with the trickle of riso.  Finally the devs pushed out more, presumably once enough were in the wild and on people's accounts so that the needs were going to outstrip supply for quite some time and keep people playing (nothing wrong with that, that's their intent is all).  I still have a lot of unleveled and underleveled Supports despite playing SCL9 and gathering all the riso I can for months now.

SC paired an increased chance to get Support tokens with lower ranks being rewarded from said tokens overall....so again they answered the frustration but this time added a throttling of the utility of the "high end" tokens in actually meaningfully pursuing the higher rank Supports.  Again, this is no accident and is intended to keep people engaged in the pursuit for a long time.

Whether that actually works is another question.  People are very savvy about this game and what the devs are doing and each player has to decide what feels like slow but good progress, and what feels like too many barriers.

The amount of RISO rewarded for progression was a joke, period. I stand by the grind was not worth the amount of work for three or four token pulls an event for a simple chance at a support token in a 240 item vault, with a preponderance of 2-star tokens. And it's very possible I'll remain unsatisfied with their solution, but just echoing what I believe is why you saw a huge drop-off in players competing in this event over subsequent plays/offerings.

I agree that the reward system needs to be reviewed but I enjoyed having more pve content. I know it's been brought up before but I think this game needs more pve side missions that are not speed or placement dependent.

D3 developers. There is an easy fix for the supports conundrum! I was one of the players that enjoyed support curcuit. However I do think you made it to time heavy by way of a story mode.
Why don't you you do it like deadpool. Taco tokens become support vault tokens. And LL token becomes advanced support token.
I recon you would more positive feed back!
    Just an idea..
(ps I don't mean replace deadpool)
Somebody give this person a medal! This is exactly the kind of improvement needed imo

I'm glad they're trying to restructure the event, but argee with most that it could have remained while doing so.

Every little bit of extra resources in this game is valuable. I even gained a few supports here and there. A 3* Talon fighter was much appreciated.

First run through isn't bad either, but the rewards for final grinding were appalling. Unless you finished top 3, there was no point in grinding the end. Top 15 finish, here are two tokens for a vault. I mean, common.

Totally agree with this. It's starting to feel like you have to grind at specific times to get the best rewards. I try not to get involved too much in going for rank due to RL influences but when there's an extra load of HP within my reach...

I'm not sure when you started playing and such, but it is absolutely true that you have to grind on a schedule to get the top rewards.

Now, it all depends on what you value and such.  Like T50, with the 100 HP a day, can be done without much care for when you play.  But if you think you want to get the top covers or LTs you will need to play on the clock for the most part (lazy play in Slice 5 can still see good results).

And even if you do grind on schedule unless you have the "right" roster you are not going to beat those players who have even better ones plus vast experience of how to squeeze every last point out of their efforts.

I have to say I'm one of the people that didn't like support circuit, but I have to say until you have something else why not keep running it?

so like 3/4 people bring up that a Friday news dump is not a totally awesome move and now we are "blasting" the devs?
tinykitty ya'll! how delicate are some of you that any whiff of not 100% cheerleading is some negative outburst that is ruining the forum.
3 pages so far of most people being super appreciative and happy with the announcement. but some forumites need to get on their outrage box about other people asking questions that don't make the devs decision making appear to be perfect and paint the forum as toxic because we are like "couldn't you have kept it running while you develop 2.0?"

It's like me saying boy I hate warm cans of diet Pepsi...thanks for putting them in the cooler, but couldn't you have let me have a taste of Mt. Dew while it chills?
He hates America! your ruining our way of life!

Just like FfW all of the fixes nesc. have been clearly outlined in several different threads. Instead of a complete overhaul how about a series of easy fixes?

I notice that our Support tokens are still pulling from the same pool of 16 today, after Circuit Break is gone and the time that Support Circuit might have started.

    @Brigby
Will these tokens remain the same until the next run of Support Circuit (assuming one occurs)?  Are there any plans to update them?

I would hope that the support continuing to rotate for the simple reason, that’s what people  complained abou in the first place!  We are ontnuing to recieve support tokens from season rewards and people reasonable expect those tokens to feature access to more than just the current set.

Regardless of how I felt about the support circuit concept, it’s the support rotation that was the important feature

its fine for now, but this is the same situation we had when the store only had access to supports up through Black panther.  In 3 months no support rotation will be untenable

I also suspect that any change will be a while as the devs are hard at work on Endgame tie-ins.  So it might be 2 months or more before something shows up.
While I don't have an exact timeline just yet regarding Support Circuit, I would agree that our team has been hard at working getting stuff together to celebrate Avengers: Endgame, so I think it's fair to say that at the moment Support Circuit isn't our main focus.

That's a good question! I'll be sure to bring that up during our next meeting.

If you need any ideas for a meeting I know @Punisher5784 can help.  LOL. I kid I kid.... maybe....

hopefully the tokens will rotate for now until this is resolved.

I like the idea of scenario missions, or objectives. Perhaps combining those with winning support tokens would put another slant on the game. e.g. maybe having to complete an event mission against lvl300+ with at least a 2 star team member could get you a support token. This could be any mission and maybe you can only complete it once.

Obviously the further you are into the game the easier it would be to earn supports. Personally I would rather have something 'different' than just grinding all day
