For the start times I would like to say, while I sympathize with everyone in Europe, I live in Western North America, and what you faced for time difficulties this ONE past event is a constant for me.

I set an alarm and get up at 4:30AM to finish off weekend nodes before work.

It sucks, I know. But it was really nice to experience what all other time zones have the benefit of over the last years of events.

Just saying, there are those of us who deal with this week in and week out, so dont complain. It was a mistake and its sorted now.

On a side note, or actually, on a relevant note, @Brigby have you considered programing the last refresh of every event to last longer so people like me get an extra 4-6 hours to clear out our nodes, andanyone who has finished there nodes already (like our Euro players)  can patiently wait for the time out to collect their coalition rewards?

It would be nice to be able to play like other timezone. I found I had much more fun and was more efficient and effective being able to clear my nodes in the daytime and evengings instead of 4 in the moring while trying to wake up and being extremely tired at work all day.

YOu could call it a plea for work/life/magic balance!

Weird, I live in Central time zone and have felt, for at least the past year or so, that weekend events line up relatively well for me. I thought we'd been on a North American-centric schedule recently. Is that not the case? (real question, not snark. I assumed that players in Europe and Asia have been getting screwed, but never thought to actually take a look at when events end in other time zones).
I am PDT (PST) so my last nodes typically refresh at midnight and expire at 7 or 8 am. In the morning I get up at 5:30 orr6am, and get ready an at work for 7:30am.

So to get my last nodes in means I have to set my alarm at least an hour earlier to complete and not be late for work.

I dont know... it just doesnt seem to work for me. But I am one of thousands.

What I was getting at was two fold:

    1) It was just nice for a change
    2) No matter what they do, it will not fit everyones schedules with the current event refresh format.

I guess my point was, in my opinion, I like having expirable nodes, but make the last refresh nodes run longer. make the last refresh 12 hours. Drag the event end time out a bit. Anyone in Euro completing their nodes can just sit back and wait for results and coalition rewards. Not a big deal.

I agree, this is a fine answer to the problem. I don't know of a single reason why this hasn't already been implemented. Only thing I can think of is that D3 feels players will want their rewards right away. To that I say, run more PVE events, have the starts overlap the finishes of the big coalition events just slightly. Players who finish and have 12 hours (or let's get crazy, 24!) to wait can start playing another event. Players who still need to finish can do so, and then start on the new event.
