You guys are waaaaaaaay early on the start time for this one. A massive swath of the player base is either asleep or unaware.

What gives!?!?

It’s more likely that they clicked AM not PM when programming the event. The Sneak Peak was right, this is the time the event always starts.

    Send a ticket.

For Christ's sake this was totally unannounced and a bunch of tiny kitties. What good are tickets if the event starts in 30 minutes and nobody is there to respond?
It will lead to an awkward situation where people already started putting effort in the event. For those people restarting it in the evening would be totally unfair. 😠

Why should we send a ticket (my ticket from Monday is still open anyway) ? I don't think anyone will care or even understand why this is a problem. I'm a little but amused (and annoyed. 50/50) how this could happen.

Yes, and with the revelation that tickets will be automatically closed after 5 days of no communication (even IF one is patiently awaiting an answer FROM D3Go), my confidence in the effectiveness of support is at an all time low.

Are you worried that your ticket will be automatically marked “closed” simply because it took D3Go too long to research and resolve your problem?

FTA’s recommendation is to send support a new cat fact every day until your issue is resolved. It’s the only way to be sure!

With any digital product tickets serve as logs for the developers. When a mass of people send them, it’s a cue to a widespread problem. If we are all having SWW errors and one person sends a ticket, it looks like a singular problem. If 1000 send a ticket, it shows there is a problem affecting the masses. Same goes for bug reports, or in this case what I'm guessing is accidental programming.

Most customer service systems bump a ticket back everytime there is a response. If the D3Go! system is the same way, this may not be the best way to get results.

If i'm not confused, it already happened and they closed the event, and then opened a new one on the accurate hour.
That would definitely be the best thing to do IMO... Many players partly set their own schedule according to the sneak peak and the traditional starting/ending time ...
Keeping it as is would be quite a clumsy move ... In case of mistake, it seems reasonable to fix it when it is still possible without any harm.

I agree with this. Let the people who have earned crystals, runes, etc for progression keep them and start it all over again.

    Again....

    Send a ticket...

Should end Sunday night instead of Monday morning. Personally I find this schedule far better.

Hour away from charge 2, not sure what the max charge is, but people should have time to catch up after normal work hours.

I would like to see this as the normal schedule.

What about our players in the UK, Europe and Russia? The last charge goes from 1am-7am, 2am-8am and 3am-9am respectively. It’s nice that it works for you, but it requires these players to lose sleep on a work night to complete the event, and they make up a huge portion of our playerbase.

This is going. To be really fun. And I thought my Sunday evening would be pleasant. Nope. Just brutal late night MTGPQ grinding, to an early start on Monday morning at work.

    Joy!

    (Yes, I’m in Europe...)

Um, what's the problem exactly? Our South Pacific friends had a nice evening start to the event, which I'm sure is a positive change of pace. And After getting up this morning at a normal time and playing a round, I finished the only charge we had so far and am waiting for a refresh - putting me exactly in the same position I would have been this afternoon with literally no negative impact.

What am I missing? Why is this an infraction worthy of closing and restarting the event?

Because players generally set their own schedule to deal with the last charge, and this change wasn't announced. If the sneakpeek says PM, then PM it should be ^^
On top of that, let's imagine you plan a party for friday 8 pm, send invitations to your friends a week ago. They all manage to organise their private stuff in order to come, and you call them on thursday 11pm to announce that the party starts at 10 a.m. Man ... i bet that would be the loneliest party ever.

@DumasAG. The early start time affects players and coalitions who thought they had another 12 hours to get sorted.

In our mega-group, this meant that one player (coming back from vacation) was unable to rejoin Tormented because they were still asleep when @Matthew came over and “sounded the alarm.”

Should it be restarted? I don’t know, depends.

FTA group seems OK (but that’s mostly because @Laeuftbeidir “accidentally” posted our rosters a day early). Not all of the other competitive teams we’re as lucky, though. I can see how this would interfere with their plans.

Hi Everyone. My apologies for the confusion with The Dragon War event times. The event is on-time, however I had incorrectly listed it as PM in the Sneak Peek thread, as opposed to AM.

In order to avoid this issue from occurring in the future, I will be listing all times in Military Time format from now on. Sorry about that!
