    3.  Okay, when I said it's weak in a deck with primarily spells or supports, I didn't mean that there weren't ever ways to make it work.  I probably should have added a generally before that claim.
I purposely chose one of the weakest planeswalkers in the game to illustrate my point. Here is a list of planeswalkers that can abuse StV with no creatures in their deck: Angrath, Chandra (both varieties), Karn (as mono blue even), Kiora, Spike (Bolas 2.0), Saheeli, T2. Every single one of them can use loyalty to win the fight will using mana to cast cards that prevent the AI from winning. StV will generate copious amounts of both. Any other blue walker and even some red ones will benefit from the same strategy by just adding a creature to buff and/or beat down with.

Also Jace 3. I'm heavily contemplating getting him during this sale. Realized he can run creatureless mono-blue.

meh...I'm running out've steam for this debate.  Willing to shake hands and agree to disagree.

We can debate until we're blue in the face.  I'll be surprised if they nerf the card this late in the game.

So I ran 4 Legacy TG matches with a Standard StV deck in Saheeli because of this thread. I start counting from the turn StV converts gems and only count the immediate mana gain from the conversion. Additional mana from having a better swap was not calculated.

    Here are the results:

    Against Bolas 1
    T11/R6: 56 mana, 13L
    T13/R7: 23 mana, 2L
    T15/R8: 56 mana, 9L
    - Match End -

    Against Jace 1
    T13/R8: 13 mana, 8L
    T15/R9: 8 mana, 1L
    T17/R10: 36 mana, 6L
    T19/R11: 19 mana, 3L
    T21/R12: 37 mana, 4L
    T23/R13: 30 mana, 3L
    T25/R14: 25 mana, 1L
    - Match End -

    Against Bolas 1
    T19/R10: 29 mana, 3L
    T21/R11: 28 mana, 3L
    - Match End -

    Against Ajani 2
    T11/R6: 0 mana, 0L
    T13/R7: 20 mana, 1L
    T15/R8: 16 mana, 1L
    T17/R9: 7 mana, 1L
    T19/R10: 10 mana, 4L
    - Match End -

So firstly bear in mind that this is using Saheeli. Also the deck was 3/4 Mythics but I think that affects the deck's efficacy more than it affects StV's ramp capabilities except for Spell Swindle.

The matches where mana gains were 20 or below were the ones where StV was set up without other supports around and the treasures were gradually destroyed through whatever reason (matches, cascades, etc.).

Those with mana gains of 23 to 56 were when things were more set up and StV was essentially converting half the available board every turn.

    That's all from me.

Semi new returning player here.  I just faced a deck with Storm the Vault in it for the first time.

I can see why people are complaining about it.  Pretty stupid how out-of-hand the game gets if you don't have support destruction in hand.  :(

Without must have cards where is the incentive to spend your retirement money chasing digital goods that go poof when server shuts down? Card can get out of hand but I still feel there are other worse cards needing adjustments.

getting one soon the newest dragon is going to make people very confused when their creature is helping him pull spells and supports back to life but also killing creatures everytime, so i dont know how it will end up

Only pulls lands and creatures. I’m sure people will find a creative way to deal with the drawbacks
