    Instead of adding another 5* Cap and yet another 5* Spiderman, why not change the existing 5* Cap (currently weak) to the new powers and create a 5* Deadpool and 4* Cable.  Throw in a 4* Mantis for good measure.  And while we're at balancing the characters, give the 5* Deadpool an ability (perhaps a counter) that negates all other character passives, enemy or friendly.  Right now, the most overpowered characters are that way because of their passives.

    Passives have always dominated, so that shouldn't be a surprise.

    But I think the answer to "why new 5* cap" is probably that new cap will make d3/demi more money than fixing old 5*s ever could.

    It's a norm that human goes after the latest thing. It's backed by psychology research. It's not specific to MPQ only. It applies to other things in real life. I understand it does not apply to everyone.

    Again, it could be Marvel's direction because they want some tie-in with Infinity War. Probably, Captain America and Spiderman made them lots of money in movie sales.

    On the other side, they decided to go with Spiderman and Captain America due to popular demand based on feedbacks from players. And players in this forums do not represent all or most of the players in the game by the way. And there are more than one channel for feedbacks besides this forum, like in-game survey.

    Instead of letting players open classic tokens to get Captain America with totally new abilities, it's fairer for all players to have the opportunity to play with the latest character by opening LT.
