Probably best to ignore the following.
Spiderman hasn't been responsible with his great power. As punishment, when his team makes a blue match, he dies.
Level Upgrades
-
Level 2: Spiderman dies on any blue match.
Level 3: Spiderman's team dies on a blue match.
Level 4: All characters belonging to the player die on a blue match.
Level 5: All characters in the player's Alliance die on a blue match.
The level 5 ability has all kinds of potential for alliance drama.
Sigh, I have to agree with Phantron, this is OP.
Change level 5 to affect only one random half of the alliance0 -

I would rather they just change it to be called "3 minutes with BONESAW" and I do not actually care what the ability does.0 -

I'm suprised you're agreeing before actually seeing it. It may seem strong but I don't really know how it will play out. I think it will take a couple months to really see.0 -

Nerfing Spidey is gonna make a lot of people upset, myself included. A month or so later when they release a gold Spidey with the same pre-nerfed powers it'll be even worse. I really don't see the need either. He's very usefull but an opponent he fairly easy to deal with.
The reasons this game doesn't get my money are that it's a crapshoot whether or not the character your interested in is even going to be viable a month or three down the line and spending so much money with approximately .3 to .6% chance to get a particular cover which you never know if it'll get nerfed down to unusabilty just doesn't make sense. Make me want to spend money, not discourage me away from it.
Funbalancing ranks right up there with prostate exams when it comes to real fun.0 -

I don't see them releasing a Gold version of Spidey. All the Gold versions we have (plus the upcoming Daken) are 2*s redone as 3* characters, while Spidey is already a 3*. I think that while LazyCap and LazyThor could be seen as money grabs, they are at least different from their 2* variant (in terms of outright power or tweaks to their abilities). If they released a Gold Spidey that was exactly the same as before, I think they would run the risk of upsetting an absolutely huge part of the community, and they don't want that because a lot of people could quit over it (as it would be the most obvious money grab to date).0 -
Phantron wrote:The biggest problem in terms of balance is of course still Punisher + Falcon. That was going to be the most powerful team (not counting Nick Fury) before the change and it still is, but if that combination turns out to be okay, then the other combinations are probably okay too.
Are you saying you think Punisher + Falcon will be the new "most powerful duo", or just that you think Punisher will be the best guy to partner Falcon with? I'd agree with the second statement (at least until I see how Lazy Daken works), but not the first. I still think Lazy Thor + cMags is the most powerful combo in the game, certainly that I've used anyway.0 -

A Max lvl Falcon alone is going to be a pain in the **** if he can summon his birds an then make a yellow match.0 -

He'll be annoying but he'll be no danger at all to me, he'll just take a bit longer to beat. If any match against him, I'd take out the strike tile generators first and leave Falcon for last, simply because he has no direct damage abilities. On his own, his only way to win is with Match 3 damage, and that's not something I'd ever be worried about.0 -

If he can generate 11 birds and then amps them +79 with only one yellow match, let alone a 2nd or 3rd match, thats quite a hill to climb to kill any strike tile generator. And they wont sit idle waiting for you to attack. A pain in the ****.0 -
Suppose two teams each target the other's main striker, and it ends up Spidey+Falcon vs Spidey+Falcon. The whole board is covered with protect tiles that get stronger every few dozen turns, and each Spidey heals their team every few dozen turns. Would you give this battle up if you failed to make any headway after 100 turns?0

Best to heal up to full then retreat.0 -

By the time Falcon has 12 purple to lay down the protect tiles, I'm fairly certain the strike tile guy will be dead, especially as I'll be after purple for my cMags.0
