"Something Went Wrong" Error - Update (7/28/17) [Fixed]

Hi Everyone,

As many of you might be aware, there were several recent events where players encountered a "Something Went Wrong" error, preventing them from continuing. The moment the development team became aware of this, they immediately began working on identifying the issue, and implementing a fix today.We sincerely apologize for any frustration and confusion this situation might have caused.  

As a thank you for your patience and understanding, we will be re-running Hour of Revelation this weekend. In addition, we will also be sending an in-game gift to anyone that had entered one of the events and been unable to continue, due to the error.

Update: Apologies for the confusion. Hour of Revelation is the event that will be re-run this weekend. For those that encountered this issue with Trial of the Planes, please submit a support ticket, and Customer Support will be able to assist you with reimbursement of the entry fee.

Update 2: A gift of 50 Mana Crystals has been sent out for the recent issues with the events.

Erm.. gee thanks?  Honestly, with 4 hour refreshes on a new PvE event and the inability to lock decks to specific fights... another HoR sounds more like a brutal punishment than anything else.

Hi @babar3355. I think you might be confusing Hour of Revelation with Return of the God Pharaoh. To my knowledge, Hour of Revelation is a PvP event and should have 8 hour recharge times.

wait what ??? so I have to change my deck every node cycle ?
EG if I use Dovin on 3.1 and slightly different on 3.3 I have to manually change it back  when faced 3.1 again?

Is this part of your strategy to keep player glued to smartphone with game open as much as possible ?? Just like you did with pathetic 2 hour boosters which most people stopped opening alltogether

No I get it.  We are running RotGP right now with 4 hour refreshes and we cant lock decks to certain nodes unless we save them in deck slots.  In Trial of Zeal I could lock Saheeli to 1.1 with one deck, 1.2 with a different deck, 1.3 with a third deck, etc.  Now I cant do that.  Huge downgrade in convenience.  Please ask them to change it back.

Adding an additional HoR will not make our weekends any more relaxing.

If the 4 hour charge didn't make it obvious, they do not seem concerned with overloading the players, even if the players vocalize opposition.

Please don't rerun together with another coalition event. Wait current event finish first!

It's impossible to play both events at the same time even more RotGP being 4hr recharge.

Please re run this event on Monday! Please!

OK.... So, just to be very clear, since ppl at d3 seem to be dumb! We DON'T want more events on the weekends! The 4h recharge is a huge mistake that is burning out a lot of players! Last weekend we gave everybody on our coalition a Holiday! We told ppl to NOT clear the nodes because everyone is feeling tired!
And now, you not only keep the horrible 4h recharge, you put another event on during the weekend!
Geez! You guys are smart! (Hope you notice my sarcasm! English is a second language and sometimes I'm not sure of ppl understand what I really want to say!)

They've announced compensation. They're also rerunning the event(read : higher max rewards this week). They've apologized. I'm not sure what else you're looking for. 

Really, I'm interested to know what you think should be done.

I'd just give everyone a set of the individual/progression rewards for free. That's what, 500 runes, 55 crystals, and a booster pack? Since the event runs every week, rerunning it seems somewhat superfluous, especially on top of another event.

Thus, my suggestion seems to be a tidy compromise between those that want the second event and those that do not.

Disagree. Infinite individual events is fine (RIP QB), but infinite coalition events is grinding torture that will drive away even the most dedicated. (I've written about this before.)

Before you say "just don't play" and "drop out of your evil coalition" let me preempt you by saying those aren't positive solutions that work for the most dedicated. They are certainly valid options, but I'd rather that the developer's not make the sane response be to disengage from coalitions.

For many people (like myself) most of the fun in the game comes from working together with awesome people to compete. If I let my team down I feel bad.

I already have stopped playing pretty much everything but coalition events (due to my busy schedule) if I can't play all the coalition events I'd just uninstall the game. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

The ironic part is that our "plus sized" coalition's main function is to allow people to "not play" and "drop out" when wanted or needed while remaining engaged without letting down the team. Making it harder/impossible to swap between events actively removes our ability to reduce stress associated with the game.

Do we need to submit a ticket for the in game gift?  Or did it already arrive and I overlooked it?
